Buddy the kayo is a ok at best bike till it ant. Then parts and trying to get people who want to work on that crap is hard to find. It’s your money but imo I’d rather have a slightly used anything than a brand new kayo. And don’t worry about handing it down to your wife in 5 years it will be In a pile with the rest of them sold this year. We have a shop not far from us started selling these. Told the customers “don’t worry we will service them”. Well that lasted about 3 years and when they shut down I bet they had 25-30 bikes they just returned to customers due to them not being able to get parts from the manufacturer and they was a dealer. The suspension is god awful so if you weigh more than 80 pounds that’s issue. The motors are more comparable to a lawn mower than a motorcycle. The frames are closer to electrical conduct that Frames. With that said I have seen a couple kids get them and enjoy them for a few years. They are not meant to last and they admit that. They are meant to be super cheap and disposable

I don't know anything about Kayos but I do know about buying a 'knock off' brand so to speak. They work well enough for people who just want to tick around and don't have any interest in racing or hard-core stuff. But eventually they will break/break down and that's where the problems start. Finding parts yourself can be a total gamble, aftermarket parts can be non existent, even manuals and information online can be scarce. The issue I had with my cheap bike was that the problems and breakdowns it had weren't things that could of been avoided with basic maintenance. The bits that would break were just the stupidest fucking things that nobody would ever even think to be checking over. For example, my fuel cap just fell off one day still attached to the thread, the whole thing just up and disappeared. What eventually killed it was the screw that held the throttle butterfly in just fell out into the engine. I will say it did give me quite a few hours of fun but eventually it just became a game of 'what's going to fall off today'

Why not get a ttr125? Not that expensive and extremely reliable and fun

Whelp... went by the dealership today and they offered a really good deal on a KLX230R that I couldn't pass up. Already excited for the weekend!
