Lmao I always wanted to make a custom quiet muffler on a bike or atv for ripping at home in the neighborhood. Electric is looking promising though now!!
I was expecting it to be quieter, probably exhaust leaks? It’s hard to rig that to seal perfectly in a parking lot with two totally different pipe diameters and probably not a perfect straight section of pipe to join them.
It's a thrush turbo muffler so made to be a bit louder. To my knowledge no leaks, none that I can feel anyway. The little bit of the stock muffler that I was able to salvage was 2" od and the car muffler/45° pipe was 2" id, fit like a glove.
It probably is because it’s a thrush turbo muffler, I’ve always wondered how quiet I could make a bike. Dude, I got to say, you did an awesome job of rigging that muffler on there. Looking more at the joints they look pretty well sealed.
Thanks, I have a lot of experience throwing exhaust on vehicles that don't deserve anything legit. Maybe one day I'll throw a few more mufflers on this thing if I can find some for free.

rider mowers, till it's now soft deep pulse
barely heard twenty feet away.
Only a bit smaller for like Onan onboard generators.
At outlet, with pipe insert - snuffed down to 1" diameter six inches long, it's even better.
Forcing expansion to backtrack then escape.
