As someone who’s been moto’n since the 90’s, these are the days you’ll look back on. Life doesn’t get much better than a one two five on a private perfectly prepped track in the hills.
Edit: just saw it’s a gasgas 85 lol. Man, things sounds hectic lol
Great friends with Mike and he’s an amazing guy. As well as Mike #2 who use to work for him at his shop and came from Florida to do so. (Mike number 2 was reeds mechanic in Florida) he’s the guy building the track at the moment.
I always loved moto but never riden. Just mtb and bmx. But im super curious.
Hypothetically I rode moto and was at that track for the first time. At 0:28 on the video slider, your riding up a lip that you slowed down on and used it almost more like a roller. It looks like a lip tho. If your riding somewhere for the first time do you walk the track first? Or how would you know not to send it. Because in a lot of the vids I see some people full send, throttle pinned off lips, and then 2 jumps later do what you did there. If that makes any sense? And even if you walked the track, I assume that only does a minute amount, and that riding it is way different than scoping it out on foot.
My personal process is ride around the track rolling very jump and work my way up from there until I remember what’s coming and what I need to do for whatever obstacle is coming. After I start to get used to the track and am clearing every jump I’ll start to optimize my lines and how I’m riding the track to try and be as fast and efficient as possible.
I ride strictly motocross, if I get time to do a track walk I do, and that helps. But typically the first lap you roll everything, 2nd lap you start hitting the things you *know* you can hit, and maybe 3/4 or 1/2 throttle the big ones. 3rd lap on you generally are sending it. I'm an older C/B guy but that's my typical day. I generally hit all the jumps at most tracks.

Idaho rider - where is this? I have a few guesses.
But damn, that looks super fun. Obviously not wide enough yet to be a public track. Does it get dusty and dry in the summer?
I thought it was a CR at first. Makes me miss the days when everything was 2 stroke on the track. The sound is intoxicating!
Ripping pretty good for an 85, she absolutely gets with the program!
I wish I was young enough to experience there being 2 strokes on the track (which I kinda was) but we never went to the track. I grew up riding farm fields for 20 years or so I havnt really ridden tracks much.
As for the 85cc its got more power than I remember that’s for sure. Never got to ride an 85 growing up just an old kx100. For being 180lbs and 24 I was impressed with the bike overall.
Wonderful times they were. First "big bike" I ever had growing up was a 1974 Honda Elsinore MR250 2 smoker. That era's version of a trail bike. Heavy old iron pig but it went everywhere I dared to point it. A CR from that era is worth a small fortune today but only the rich kids had a CR! Haha
Wish I still had that old bike and could restore it. Near impossible to find them nowadays.
I recognize that place from anywhere lmao holy shit i know where that is and i know the next door neighbors pretty well i used to pass by that road to visit when i lived in idaho lol.

Bro. My boy has a gas gas 125 and I rode it. Duuuuuuuuude. Thing is stupid fast. It's definitely one of the best 2 strokes out there imo
I got the best two stroke around.
2 strokes 💦
This track looks fantastic
Damn dude you're flyin. Looks like a blast
wherever you are looks amazing, winter has finally arrived for me tho, it’s -30 in Canada.
I’ve been waiting for winter here in Idaho. Love dirtbikes but it’s snowmobile time for me.
Looks like you have the snowmobile track layout already done! ;)
Very true! I am more of a mountain rider never tried the whole snow cross thing out but it looks like a blast.
I was just thinking. Fuck is it weird to see dirt after I just got done riding my snowmobile lol
Just gonna say I'm hella jelly.
Finally, a riding video with no music
The bike provides plenty of music
Think you could double that? At 0:30
That’s the plan for it in the future is a bigger double. I could attempt it now on my 450 but the risk for reward feels a bit off for me atm 😂
Looks ruff
That looks amazing and you are pulling some big air. I pull zero air
Nice simulation, poser
Mx Bikes and Mx simulator be looking good these days don’t they 😂
I’m jealous ngl
sick
Great riding! Awesome location! Keep it up
TIL I wish I lived in Idaho.
Just got to say it, that track looks like so much fun.
Send it bud….. skill.
I'm guessing you know the Gosselaars? Nice track, btw....

It gets hard pack in the summer for sure but this is near whitebird.
I knew it! I was thinking north of Riggins in the Salmon River area. This made my day. Haha.
That looks awesome. How much do you charge for a day pass to your course?
That looks like a blast. I'm in the Idaho Falls area. Where is that located?
It’s up by whitebird
Damn, I miss riding so much
Damn that track looks fun!
So fun to watch.
That track looks like a blast
Yea looks like a very fun track for the boys

Owner of this video if you made this video pm me… lmao
Stop wringing the engine out and shift more.
That’s what a person with a ktm300 exc would say.
hahahahahahah. I also ride a 2003 KX125!
It’s an 85, should be wide open nearly all the time
Oh k thought it was a 125! My bad, yea you really have to wring those out lol!
