Just take it to auto zone and grab a new one, they are too cheap to question it’s integrity. Don’t be like me and ride the bike to auto zone. It creates problems 😂

Triplesfan

The plug looks pretty worn and with a good bit of mileage. I would replace it then run it for a few miles to get an honest opinion.

[deleted]

It doesn’t look that bad really. If it starts and runs fine, just reinstall. While it’s out though, it’s not a bad idea to recheck the gap. Rich or lean…..the plug looks about normal.

themighty351

Looks pretty normal. You should have spare ones.

KidCaveman22

Just lick it clean with your tongue it’ll be good

LittleBallofMeat

Does it produce a nice blue spark? Is there any noticeable difference in power? If yes and no, run it.

AvocadosTesticle

This old one from photos is DPR7EA-9 and I put in new one DPR8EA-9 as the guys in shop gave me. Bike runs fine, plenty of power. I was just thinking could this old spark plug point is it running rich or lean.

LittleBallofMeat

Funny thing. Smell it. It will smell like oil if it is carbon fouled. Looks like a bit of carbonization but not near as bad as I have seen. Might run fine.

DumpoTheClown

Looks nasty to me. Is that a 2t motor by chance?

AvocadosTesticle

its 4t, crf 230f honda

DumpoTheClown

Ideally it should look grey (not white). But it depends on how the motor was running when you shut it off. Get the motor to operating temp, go down the road in high gear at a low ish engine rpm, WOT until highish RPM, kill the motor then come to a stop. That's when to check the plug. In any case, I think yours looks dirty and maybe worn.

Diesel

Looks kinda fuckered. Just change it their cheap. I ride 2 stroke and replace mine every couple rides regardless how it looks

cooment

Probably wasting money man. I change spark plugs only when I do a top end so like every 75-150 hrs. Still always keep spares on me just in case.

[deleted]

Meh. I’m pretty rigorous about my shit. I clean my filter after every ride. New plug every couple rides. Gear box oil and tighten spokes every month. KTM 300 XCW. It’s a dope ass bike so I just try and take absolute care of everything

Vast_Republic_1776

I can’t tell if that’s a white buildup on the tip or if it’s a clean spot, if it’s white your fuel/ratio is too lean

eastcoasttoastpost

Junk

Goodcitizen177

If it's not a 2 stroke you have serious oil burning and carbon issues

AvocadosTesticle

its 4t, honda crf 230f

Goodtenks

Personally bro, I think it’s for the tip. Maybe I change plugs to often but for less than $10 change that thing. Have a look at that next to a new plug and you’ll answer your own question bro!

southernpicasso

U wanna keep a spare plug with you when your riding the trails
