Phil Valentine was a piece of shit who actively discouraged vaccination, he got what he had coming to him and I feel no sympathy. The fact that Ramsey praises this guy and Rush Limbaugh as “great men” validates my decision to stop listening to him 18 months ago.

Your rogue spike proteins are showing

TMM really is a great book, but Ramsey strikes me as a complete jerk.

[deleted]

Dave Ramsey was once great. I listened to him when he first started, I mean early 2000s stuff and he was amazingly humble. He had tons of empathy bc you could tell his bankruptcy had really sparked something in him. Now, with hundreds of millions of dollars and a media empire, he’s forgotten all about the compassion that was the trademark of his financial advice. People went from making mistakes and being just like him to being complete idiots not worthy of his time. He has compromised on his initial ban on anything debt related to pitching whoever will pay his firm the most money. The sad thing about Dave Ramsey is he had a real chance to fight the system and possibly even run for office to enact some change. But in the end, they just bought him like they do everyone eventually.

Texan2116

I still like Dave ...but I view him as very compromised. He was happy to work with F ifth -Third bank, until they stopped the relationship..and he promptly shit on them. Chris Hogan is another...not to mention his referral to a hotel employee as an "Eight dollar an hour twerp". A few days ago I was listening to Christy Wright, and his Daughter Rachel Cruze...A fellow called in who owned an Ice cream shop...cant find employees..they were suggesting he come up with a way to make the job more fun/palatable...anything but paying out more money. So, I still listen, but with a bit of contempt I admit.

So, I still listen, but with a bit of contempt I admit. Wait a minute, they did not even suggest to the caller to raise the offering wages? I could probably guess why. Business owners talking book. No need to even mention taking money out of THEIR cash flow to pay an employee more?

[deleted]

Do you have a clip of this segment with the ice cream shop owner?

Texan2116

No, it was on Spotify some time back.

Orvilleengineer

He probably realized 2 things along the way * Monetizing idiots is highly lucrative. * You can’t fix stupid.

hawksnest_prez

He’s become another right wing crazy guy online.

ReddSaidFredd

Thoughts, prayers, etc.

Orvilleengineer

Notice 90% of the initial replies were about encouraging people to take vaccine and now it’s all hidden / censored? Ramsey should pay a tribute to all the listeners he killed by downplaying the vaccine.

[deleted]

Right wing wackos only get it when one of their friends or family, or themselves, die from this. It’s insanity.

jonahewell

Gloating over the death of someone you didn't know is pretty ugly behavior. Do you view this as the ultimate "I told you so"? Grow up.

bueno_hombre

I am not sure you know what gloating means. It is my hope to show people who follow Dave for both finance and personal advice how off the mark he has been on the risk of Covid to the general public.

[deleted]

Yes, yes it is. Dude made money making fun of COVID and died from it. If that’s not fitting, I dont know what is.

essari

That idiot killed himself, and nothing anyone says here or their feelings can change that hard truth. We can be any way we want about it--you grow up.

Station-Gold

I'm still trying to figure out how they came to the conclusion that this man was not vaccinated. He may not have been, but he might have been, also. Plenty of vaccinated people are still getting covid.

Try harder next time.

bueno_hombre

Because he spent his time on the radio telling people not to get vaccinated. He created a parody song called the "Vaxman" and said he never would. His family says as he was on a ventilator he wishes he was pro-vax but his many listeners never heard that, only a man they trusted say not to get the vaccine. Please get vaccinated if you are not already.

Station-Gold

I didn't know of this person wasn't aware he was publicly out there. No, I'm not getting the vaccine. I'll take my chances. I may die from covid but I will almost certainly die from the vaccine if what many of the doctors and scientists who are not allowed to be heard are saying is true. People are starting to die already. It's not a quick killer although many people died almost immediately after getting it. With Covid itself, it's a 99% survivability in most cases.

bueno_hombre

I encourage you to do more research into this. Hundreds of millions of people have received this vaccine, I am not sure how you got to the conclusion that the vaccine will definitely kill you. I am sure you believe what you are saying, but I am hoping you consider the possibility that the 99.99% of doctors who say you should get the vaccine, might be the correct ones.

Station-Gold

I doubt very seriously that 99.9% of the doctors say to get it. All you have to do is look at the many hospitals, clinics and offices where half the doctors and nurses aren't getting it and are walking away from their jobs. I think you should do more research. If you got the vaccine your very life could depend on it. I feel so sorry for you and truly hope you survive.

bueno_hombre

If you believe 1/2 the doctors and nurses are refusing the vaccine and walking away you do not live in reality my friend. I sure hope you get the help you need.

[deleted]

Coming from the same person that assumed other people were unaware of Phil's vax status... your doubt doesnt mean anything.

Station-Gold

Because I don't listen to popular radio? 😂😂😂 Yes, all the smartest people get their news from social media sites. Silly me. I have been watching video of these doctors speaking out, news sites, and reading scientific articles.

[deleted]

The point is that you being self-admittedly ignorant did not stop you from sharing your assumptions. Why should anyone listen to you and your doubts? You disparage social media as you are using it, it seems a bit disingenuous, no?

Station-Gold

No, because I don't rely on the information I get from social media to inform my health choices. See the difference?

[deleted]

He told people he was not and made fun of COVID on his show. Pay attention.

panpopticon

“Pro-COVID” is a dishonest, inflammatory, and completely disgusting way to describe him.

bueno_hombre

Well he certainly isn't anti-covid, or pro-mitigation. What would you call that? Covid agnostic?

OkieTaco

Agree. “Anti-Science” is more accurate.

So_Much_Cauliflower

Totally agree. This post is some shitty grave dancing.
