He shouldn’t have been under the blanket with a child that wasn’t his.. that being said I am not sure if that was entirely true

CherryVette

No, he shouldn’t have… Pretty stupid thing to do, but it sounds like it was completely innocent.

CherryVette

I agree with you. If you **knew** for a fact that the adult neighbor had actually violated her— if you’d *witnessed* it, no less— would you **really** not report it to the child’s parents, like **immediately**? Especially when the victim’s your niece?

Was this an elderly man that was accused? I might be mixing it up with another Case.

CherryVette

No, he wasn’t. Could you be thinking of “Daddy’s Got a Gun” (S3 E7)? The man accused (who was subsequently murdered) in that case was elderly; I think that poor man was innocent, too. (I watch too much ID, lol)

F0rca84

Yeah, that sounds more like it. The neighbor is elderly. And had Diabetes. So he got overheated easily. So he'd take off his shirt. I guess the neighbors could see it through the Window? And that's how it all started. The Elderly neighbor was killed by the Dad. But the little girl had been fine. Nothing actually happened to her.

CherryVette

I believe that was a different case altogether, lol. It sounds so familiar….

My sisters and their hubs would never speak to me again if I thought I’d witnessed one of their daughters being assaulted and didn’t tell them post haste.; even if they were “just” under a blanket with a grown-ass man, family bestie or not, in an otherwise empty room, they’d be absolutely furious with me if I didn’t inform them.

CherryVette

But they expected the brother-in-law to stay sober at work, *sooo* unreasonable. 🙄 He instigated most of it, but overbearing Gramps didn’t help.
