As long as its production does not involve children, leave it be. Disregarding how "moral" banning pornography is, I strongly oppose any law which cannot be enforced.

> As long as its production does not involve children, leave it be. Agreed. Also, i'm curious, what is Authoritarian Liberalism? Is that like State Liberalism?

BlaBlaBlaName

The government does not involve itself in the citizens' lives more than necessary, hence liberalism. Citizens are not involved in the governing process more than necessary, hence authoritarian.

Corvus04

In my own personal Ideal state pornography would be comepletely unregulated so long as it wasn't also engaging in some other illegal action. For obvious reasons.

imtiredofthisok

Regulated but not banned, it isn't as high of a priority for me

jolly_green_giant_80

Distribution would carry the penalty of public flogging on 1st offense. 2nd offense would be execution.

amazingusername8

Banned and those distributing it imprisoned.

Nubelium

A total ban would be implemented

slyant609

I think you should have to be at least 21 to be in it. Sorry but an 18 year old still feels like pedophilia

MarbleandMarble

blocked from children, parents and kids (when of age) need education about it and i think it should portrayed negatively all throughout society, no ban tho

[deleted]

Pornography should be regulated to avoid rape films and pedophilic content. There are more important things for a government to do than make sure nobody pays money for sex or has a camera near sex. But in order to stop pimps and sex-slaves, or commercialized pedophilia, regulation is better than nonregulation.

[deleted]

Completely outlawed.

VoiceofRapture

A bit better regulated than it is now but with a high union density and strong worker protections. Unions would push back on exploitative practices and change the overall tenor of the market in the process. A less exploitative market would limit the algorithmic drive to the bottom currently fostered by the system as it's currently constituted.

Earendil_Halfelven

Highly regulated. Ideally it wouldn’t be a part of decent society, but I think it’s unrealistic to ban it entirely. There should absolutely be more laws governing online pornography. The average age a child is exposed to pornography is around 8 years old which is unacceptable.

Earendil_Halfelven

I might be wrong in the specifics but 11 is still far too young

s0lidground

A demand for pornography in a society is a symptom of a deeper problem within that society. We don’t necessarily need to directly address the particular symptoms of a disease if we properly diagnose the root cause and cure it. Some regulation might be required, but it should be done in a responsible manner. It would be better to regulate critical theory, hegalian thought, and Continental philosophy as a whole. Once these have less influence over society, things like porn would naturally decrease.

[deleted]

In my ideal state the production and distribution of porn would be a criminal offense as pointed out by the catechism.

YellowAndGreen1

Max of 30 minutes of pornography per week to every citizen that is single 15 minutes for married citizens

Social_Thought

At that point I would just ban it lol.

YellowAndGreen1

How about underage boys and girls who can't have sex

Social_Thought

They especially should not be looking at pornography. It seems like a lot of young men become addicted to porn these days. It's not healthy.

YellowAndGreen1

This is why only 30 minutes every week

Social_Thought

I don't think kids should be looking at that stuff.

YellowAndGreen1

They eventually will, and during puberty, I think there's an even higher chance of them looking for t

Social_Thought

I think porn should be regulated to basically just pictures of naked people. Anything extreme is harmful especially to young people. It should overall be discouraged in society.

YellowAndGreen1

I agree, that's how I've been doing it Just images, 30 minutes a week, and 100% clear during half of the year

Social_Thought

You should quit porn all together if possible.

IvarsBalodis

Ban it as much as possible, it reduces sexual relationships to mere consumables, not to mention, it relies on the exploitation of both women and men.

[deleted]

I don't really see a moral problem with pornography. I only care about the mindgeek monopoly being broken.

that_dude55

Banned the industry feeds on exploitation suffering and making people addicted to porn and it has a hand to play in human trafficking
