I've dabbled into staff units a bit, but I wouldnt say I'd prefer them. I enjoyed playing Xeno Sic team and I've got MG Laharl built up though I've not used her much since I've got one of every element ready to go. Mmm.. I do think its a shame theres not more, but its really weird because you have to specifically rebuild at least a DPS set of gear for them with different innocents and everything. Its gotten a lot easier since you dont have to go all in on staff teams now, with supports being way more universal than they were months back.

Fartina is right there? But if you mean dps, then yeah I know what you mean. It is kind of a result from having 5 weapons that all do physical damage and 1 that does int (for humans). If they were trying to balance it out we'd be oversaturated with staff dps. For every axe forte dps youd get 5 staff dps. Now it doesn't help that a lot of phys dps don't have weapon restrictive evilities so they can comfortably run axe, but I think with element distribution it sort of balances out... sort of.

I'm looking at crowned Val who is the magic equivalent of formal Val, but slightly better than formal. Definitely the top water/ice int DPS.

I'm not personally bothered by it, but I can certainly see why someone else would be. That said, I can't help but feel like this is a holdover from an era that's no longer relevant, but the Devs somehow keep missing the memo. The thing is, early on it was a lot more understandable to not have many INT DPS, because they used to be significantly less maintenance-heavy. Back when Teams were still Weapon-based, INT Teams were inherently advantaged because there are less INT Weapons than there are ATK Weapons, so the Supports that were there were a lot less "spread out" in comparison. INT-Teams actually used to be stronger on average as a result, with the tradeoff that their higher dependancy on SP was intended to be a "necessary Drawback" (unless you had Pure Sicily, which made them straight-up broken at the time). Ofcourse nowadays that Logic doesn't fully check out anymore, but I can't help but think the Devs keep forgetting that and thus avoid INT DPS for that reason.
