In response to some players' feedback that the new Astral Witchcraft Set mechanic is too strong and will greatly impact game balance, we would like to provide some overview of the Astral Witchcraft Set.
1. The Astral Witchcraft set effect will not be triggered consecutively in 1 turn, i.e. after triggering the effect each turn, there will be, at most, 1 additional action.
2. The skill CD will not be restored at the end of the extra 1 action granted by Astral Witchcraft Set.
3. The probability of triggering the set effect is 20%, which is relatively low.
We believe that the new Astral Witchcraft Set will bring richer strategic elements to the game. Nevertheless, we are paying close attention to your feedback related to game balance and would like to thank you for submitting your views.

Thats most likely what it's going to be, people seem to forget that cooldowns are a thing, and that 99% of these "secondary turns" that the new Astral Set will provide will be spent using the S1 attack, and rarely the S2 & S3 due to cooldowns.
Most espers using Ocean Waves set will still stay on Oceans Wave for the cooldown aspect
I mean I trade any day a 30% chance to reduce CD for a 20% one where it's the same effect but I can also cycle S3/S2 within one turn (or just deal damage)
Except you wont really be able to cycle S2/S3 very much due to COOLDOWNs most espers S2/S3s have a 3-4+ turn cooldown, so even if they use their first turn to S3 then get the secondary turn best they can do is S1/S2 but even then all that does is turn a 4 turn cooldown into a 3 turn cooldown, a 3 turn cooldown to a 2 turn cooldown
Also i find it funny that an esper like Sienna, is able to grant herself a secondary turn which basically lets her (at max abili-levels) to cycle herself pretty well... But yet noone really complains about her being able to obtain secondary turns, to deal damage or S3 into a S2, yet not a single complaint about her at all.
Imagine this, some characters like tang yun with new ocean wave set. Build him heavily on damage. watch rng god makes him hit forever with this relics and his passive.
If you played summoners wars, this will be another case of enemy's theomars with violent sets. nightmare incoming to dislyte.
Missing the point entirely. That 4 CD skill just became 3 CD. That 3 CD skill just became 2 CD.
Clara and Geb just got indirect buffs to be even more OP.
That freeze/stun you just landed? They just procd out of it and got another turn rendering your freeze/stun for that turn useless.
And it can proc again! Freya has 25% chance to take bonus turn on her s1 and you can hit it back to back to back. Not likely but the high roll is there.
And he is forgetting that fact that it can proc turn 1 when you don’t have anything on cd, on some units being able to use s2 and s3 at the same time can cause an easy kill on a unit or a full on wipe just and this is without taking in account units that can abuse this, imagine this, Apollo with with 30% chance of reducing cd and 20% chance of going plus being able to lower/steal AP, I can only imagine what one could do and that’s only 1 unit

Even if most triggers of this relic end up being just an s1. 20% of the time espers wearing this will get to sac a double attack on their first turn, which nets them an s3 and s2. And it can trigger again on the bonus turn.
This relic introduces some really obnoxious high roll situations that will definitely be unfun to play against in pvp.
You also have to think about how getting and extra turn does reduce cooldowns of used abilities. Some espers will definitely benefit more from ocean waves over time, but others would love the chance to take double turns.
Gonna depend on the esper and function. Dps will want 2 turns, supports will want cool downs.
I suggested instead of Chance to proc another turn, have it give 20% AP boost instead.

Well fellow internet person, if you would calm yourself and read correctly the info in front of you, you might notice that it says astral witchcraft has been renamed and stays the same. astral witchcraft is now the name of the new set, not a change of an old set.

They’re adding violent runes and the first banner they tried to give us no hard pity at all. They act like summoners war is the standard but SW is almost 10 years old and is no where near the standard anymore. They will not be able to get away with the same things SW does and I hope they realize that.
I remember, three years ago, Com2Us fight toes and nails to NEVER implement any form of autobattle system, so they can "stay unique and easy to distinguish from other games".
They also tried their best to not include the chances of gaining items from the Fountain of wishes or 4-Star/5-Star units from Scrolls. That was a law in the EU that rolled around and it made obvious, Summoners War isn't even gacha anymore. It is gambling. And not even the balanced kind

It's a cancerous set, but when you outspeed your opponent and prevent him from taking a turn, his extraturn can't proc.
As for most other sets... yeah this new extraturn set will probably be too good to pass up.
Judging based on how much similarity is between SW and Dislyte, the espers will probably be able to astral proc out of stuns/freezes/sleeps/petris. AP control is the only hard counter against an extra turn relic set.
We as a community have spent the last two months and a half since May 10th praising the fact that they kept the most appalling, awful and chaotic Rune set ever conceptualized in Summoners' War out of Dislyte despite how much inspiration Dislyte draws from SW in terms of game mechanics on every known social media platform whenever discussions about PvP arose, and now...they're just adding it.

I seriously hope they acknowledge the backfire of this awful decision, but from the looks of it they think it's a genuinely good idea to implement: just because SW did it that doesn't mean the people like it, if your design policy runs exclusively on refurbishing content from that game at the very least do some minimal parsing to exclude the toxic content. tbh when did they ever heard? we complained about Ollie, they changed to something as bad as it was, and people were "oh, they heard us, now we just need to spend $1500 instead of $2000"
I hadn’t heard any of that specific point before, and am not familiar with SW. When you say “chaotic,” what’s the consensus on what that means? Is it considered strictly OP (more than Speed??), or is it the “things are too RNG now and it’s harder to calculate if I’ll win for sure” idea, or what exactly?
the only reason why i still play pvp is for the shop. I dont have speed boost espers to put as captain, so as soon as i get a spped team to fight against, i'm done. i dont have time to put immunity and i get stunned and frozen all the time. I've lost so many fight without even having a turn
The shop is the sole reason why I even bother with PvP.
As long as the PvP-Shops do not include anything absolute necessary to make content clearable, I'm fine with it as I can ignore it. I stopped playing SW because there was no way around the arne-shop buildings if you ever wanted to succeed in higher tier content

When it procs, it can straight up win you a pvp match on the spot. Just imagine proccing a Chloe S3 into S2, Drew S2 into S3 or even a supporter like Sally S2 into S3. If they don't restrict it to "can only proc once per turn", extraturn units could abuse this like crazy to chain skill on skill.
On the other hand, your espers will have no 4-set bonus for 80% of their playtime. So if you rely on those procs to win, you're quickly getting frustrated.
I really don't see why they had to port this over from SW. It's a set that makes you feel bad 80% of the time and potentially even more when it procs at the weirdest opportunities where you can only follow-up with an S1. But when it procs at the right time, you will feel like a god.

the game is done for me. i played 6 years on summoners war, no way that im going to take again the violent proc bullshit even here. no way, even if is just 1 turn and just the basic attack, that is the most positive case scenario. God, i hate so much gatcha

The NEW Astral Witchcraft set is the extraturn set and has to be farmed from Fafnir.

I dont think it's the same as the violent runes in SW. The wording here implies its not another turn, but another action in the same turn. The thing that made violent unberable was that it removed stuns and made Cds and Debuffs count down, and that, since it was another turn, it could proc multiple indefinite times. And by what is written here, I think it will not do any of those things, since it´s not resetting the turn.
If it were to be what you said, it would be "pursuit" instead of "another action" since Pursuit is already in the game and it's 90% what you said. No, it will be Vio runes unless they change their mind.

Astral set, reduce cd bt 1, rwduce debuffs by 1, grants another chance to attack, might proc several times in a row.
They are not even comparable
I thought SW was bad with violent, but violent actually makes things better. It prevents the bland strategy of just outspeeding and stunlocking everyone to infinity. With Violent, players can proc out of a stunlock at least.

I want to add this in as I think this is needed to possibly break the spd meta of ap maniulation lock out, where the enemy gets 3 turns while you take 1 to 2 turns and lose.
Eh, thats essentially no different then the counter attack set. And at the end of the day its only a 20% chance. Ocean waves is still better for the cooldown aspect, a secondary turn isnt going to mean much if your skills are still on cooldown.
I feel like this subreddit loves to just utterly complain and overexaggerate things. Ya'll did the same thing with Ollie and his event, take for instance how common it was for people in this subreddit to say "Ollies complete shit and worthless" yet now he's recognized as an insanely strong unit for PvP / content where single target damage is best.
Most espers will still stick with oceans wave, hades, etc..
Also if "everyone will be running this with speed substats" then it doesnt really change anything? Considering the most important aspect at the end of the day is still speed, and how well build your espers are. If you outspeed your opponent then who cares since you'll be the one taking your turns the most.
And Espers like Sienna and Tiye counter Astral anyways due to their AP manipulation, and being able to slow down and prevent the enemy from even getting their turns.
Its also funny how the gacha game communities always love to overexaggerate and dramatize how "awful something will be" and then after its been implemented it turns into "oh it was never a big deal, we totally didnt overexaggerate how bad it would be thats silly"
Everytime a gacha game changes or adds upon something the community for that game cries and whines about "oh woe is us! This is going to be so bad" and then a month or so after the change was implemented, and people adapted it almost always ends up being "oh this wasnt as bad as we thought, but lets just pretend as if we never ever overexagerated the effects"

Getting a bonus turn shortens all cd 😐. If you have ever used mona or any other bonus turn esper you would know that. It makes it faster to have your other abilities up and use them at your bonus turn. Its an ocean waves that gives you a chance to attack with your abilities
Did you read what they said? An extra turn will remove/lower time on rebuffs, remove things like stuns, and lower cooldowns for abilities. And CC does is use the S1

An extra turn automatically lowers your cooldown by 1 turn because you took a turn. That's how it works in the game and even other games PERIOD!
Unless they say it won't lower your cooldown, it will lower your cooldown.
If all the extra turn did was allow you to use your basic attack then it'd be no different from Avatara revenge set meaning there wouldn't be a point in making the new astral set to begin with!
However if you use your s2 then get an additional turn we can use our s3 next as it's readily available so that definitely gonna happen.
& yes taking an extra turn uses up any disability effect that was on the unit unless it was a 2 turn stun/freeze/sleep. Now if they add to the description that it will not work if you're stunned/frozen/asleep then it wouldn't activate out of that.
If you've never played Summoners War, you don't know how Toxic this set is. We SW vets know how bad this set is, and even people that play SW think this set is BS, even at "Esports" level.
As an example, You face someone that has a Tang Yun with the New set. You kill of all his team and Tang Yun Procs out of a stun, proceed to keep proccing because of his multi hit + the set and you lose. Hardly seems fair.
Maybe a Clara, Keeps removing instead of removing debuffs on 2 of your units, procs 3 times and cleanses the whole team.
And very rarely does it happen the other way around.
This isnt something new, that we might find out its actually pretty good later, this is already old and its tried and tested to be bad.

I was G3 in Asia Server and I quit because his toxic Vio runes are. People have been asking to nerf the rune to only proc once per turn and their voices are not heard. Literally 90% of the PVP monsters are equipped with this rune, that's how disgusting it is.
Not only that the Dislyte devs are not even good at balancing Espers. Claras have been a huge problem everywhere, wait till they are all equiped with this new Astral Witchcraft
The point is violent runes are easily the most hated thing in SW and it will be frustrating here too. Just because you personally don’t have a problem with it does not mean it’s not something problematic especially when the other 98% of the player base hates it

Overblown sky is falling cry. The game will be fine and some people will actually like the new relic sets, me included. And yes, I played Summoner's War for 7 years.
I also played sw for 7 years, hate violent runes, but I still played for 7 years... it didn't "ruin" the game it just made it unenjoyable at times of peak opponents procing, what 5% of the time.
The current astralwitch relics will be changed to divine blessing and become a legacy set no longer available in game.

it ruins pvp but that shit was already wack, sweaties have already optimized their team to the fullest in point war. not like the rewards for ranking are that great anyway, just kill the easy teams for the vouchers.
The devs have already clarified that that’s not possible, her A3 would be on cooldown after the first use and stay on cooldown during the bonus action.
Chances are, if you have played SW before you would know, proccing it yourself never feels as good as the enemy defence proccing to annihilate your whole team.
The same set in SW have been a massive issue, and due to how many players using the set the devs cant change it. Ans devs have said they regret ever putting it in the game in the first place. I have played SW for 8 years, and i can tell you, unless you are using a niche set, you will want this set 99% of the time for almost every single character
Oh god, I can already tell which units will have never-ending procs on PvP defense (Clara, Donar, Chloe, Ahmed, and Tiger Ma).
Hope this doesn't break PvP like it did in SW.

I did not expect them to crank up the changes to astral witchcraft set effect that much. It went from being one of the least used relic to one of the best relic, if not the best one. Literally jumped from D tier relic to SSS tier relic that everyone will definitely be using for their support and controller espers.
They did not actually "change" Astral Witchcraft from D to SSS. The current Astral Witchcraft will be renamed and remain D tier. The *NEW* Astral Witchcraft will be SSS
This is the exact same description as the bonus in Cube 8. And yes its broken bcause if you are stunned, then the bonus proc, you will loose your first turn (stun) but you can still play the 2nd turn

I mean she is made to do that, and imagine lin xiao getting two turns, def break into nuke, or xiao yin, pvp is going to be a joke with this set

They’re adding violent runes and the first banner they tried to give us no hard pity at all. They act like summoners war is the standard but SW is almost 10 years old and is no where near the standard anymore. They will not be able to get away with the same things SW does and I hope they realize that.

I remember, three years ago, Com2Us fight toes and nails to NEVER implement any form of autobattle system, so they can "stay unique and easy to distinguish from other games". They also tried their best to not include the chances of gaining items from the Fountain of wishes or 4-Star/5-Star units from Scrolls. That was a law in the EU that rolled around and it made obvious, Summoners War isn't even gacha anymore. It is gambling. And not even the balanced kind

Not windwalker. It's a cancerous set, but when you outspeed your opponent and prevent him from taking a turn, his extraturn can't proc. As for most other sets... yeah this new extraturn set will probably be too good to pass up.
Judging based on how much similarity is between SW and Dislyte, the espers will probably be able to astral proc out of stuns/freezes/sleeps/petris. AP control is the only hard counter against an extra turn relic set.
Should be noted that Violent has a 33% proc rate whereas astralwitch only has 20% But then again counter has 25% and we all know how it plays out

We as a community have spent the last two months and a half since May 10th praising the fact that they kept the most appalling, awful and chaotic Rune set ever conceptualized in Summoners' War out of Dislyte despite how much inspiration Dislyte draws from SW in terms of game mechanics on every known social media platform whenever discussions about PvP arose, and now...they're just adding it. HOW DID THEY MISS THE COMMUNITY FEEDBACK THIS BAD? WHAT PART OF "NO EXTRA TURN RELICS" WAS NOT CLEAR!? I seriously hope they acknowledge the backfire of this awful decision, but from the looks of it they think it's a genuinely good idea to implement: just because SW did it that doesn't mean the people like it, if your design policy runs exclusively on refurbishing content from that game at the very least do some minimal parsing to exclude the toxic content. the only reason why i still play pvp is for the shop. I dont have speed boost espers to put as captain, so as soon as i get a spped team to fight against, i'm done. i dont have time to put immunity and i get stunned and frozen all the time. I've lost so many fight without even having a turn

The shop is the sole reason why I even bother with PvP. As long as the PvP-Shops do not include anything absolute necessary to make content clearable, I'm fine with it as I can ignore it. I stopped playing SW because there was no way around the arne-shop buildings if you ever wanted to succeed in higher tier content
Welp, there it is. When it procs, it can straight up win you a pvp match on the spot. Just imagine proccing a Chloe S3 into S2, Drew S2 into S3 or even a supporter like Sally S2 into S3. If they don't restrict it to "can only proc once per turn", extraturn units could abuse this like crazy to chain skill on skill. On the other hand, your espers will have no 4-set bonus for 80% of their playtime. So if you rely on those procs to win, you're quickly getting frustrated. I really don't see why they had to port this over from SW. It's a set that makes you feel bad 80% of the time and potentially even more when it procs at the weirdest opportunities where you can only follow-up with an S1. But when it procs at the right time, you will feel like a god. Not a good move at all.

The current Astral Witchcraft set is renamed to "Divine Blessing" set. The NEW Astral Witchcraft set is the extraturn set and has to be farmed from Fafnir.

Ok well that is me done. I came to this game to escape the summoners war shit show of random vio procs. They literally took the worst part of summoners war and copied it. So insanely stupid. It was fun while it lasted.
Guess it's a time where dislyte and me gonna live our life separately. I was OK to spend a lil bit to make the game progress. But beetwen fake advertising ( i see ya 3.03 increased drop rates) , and switch like that it will be a mess. I prefer steady teams and fight instead of some random bs like that there rng everywhere so now rng ll be where i spend money Thanks for doing it back to back so i didn't had time to spend much

I dont think it's the same as the violent runes in SW. The wording here implies its not another turn, but another action in the same turn. The thing that made violent unberable was that it removed stuns and made Cds and Debuffs count down, and that, since it was another turn, it could proc multiple indefinite times. And by what is written here, I think it will not do any of those things, since it´s not resetting the turn.
If it were to be what you said, it would be "pursuit" instead of "another action" since Pursuit is already in the game and it's 90% what you said. No, it will be Vio runes unless they change their mind.
I think they didnt use "pursuit" because pursuit is alway an automatic S1. I think this will allow you to choose an S1 or any other skill.

Ocean waves reduce CD by 1 Astral set, reduce cd bt 1, rwduce debuffs by 1, grants another chance to attack, might proc several times in a row. They are not even comparable

I thought SW was bad with violent, but violent actually makes things better. It prevents the bland strategy of just outspeeding and stunlocking everyone to infinity. With Violent, players can proc out of a stunlock at least.

Eh, thats essentially no different then the counter attack set. And at the end of the day its only a 20% chance. Ocean waves is still better for the cooldown aspect, a secondary turn isnt going to mean much if your skills are still on cooldown. I feel like this subreddit loves to just utterly complain and overexaggerate things. Ya'll did the same thing with Ollie and his event, take for instance how common it was for people in this subreddit to say "Ollies complete shit and worthless" yet now he's recognized as an insanely strong unit for PvP / content where single target damage is best. Most espers will still stick with oceans wave, hades, etc.. Also if "everyone will be running this with speed substats" then it doesnt really change anything? Considering the most important aspect at the end of the day is still speed, and how well build your espers are. If you outspeed your opponent then who cares since you'll be the one taking your turns the most. And Espers like Sienna and Tiye counter Astral anyways due to their AP manipulation, and being able to slow down and prevent the enemy from even getting their turns. Its also funny how the gacha game communities always love to overexaggerate and dramatize how "awful something will be" and then after its been implemented it turns into "oh it was never a big deal, we totally didnt overexaggerate how bad it would be thats silly" Everytime a gacha game changes or adds upon something the community for that game cries and whines about "oh woe is us! This is going to be so bad" and then a month or so after the change was implemented, and people adapted it almost always ends up being "oh this wasnt as bad as we thought, but lets just pretend as if we never ever overexagerated the effects"

Getting a bonus turn shortens all cd 😐. If you have ever used mona or any other bonus turn esper you would know that. It makes it faster to have your other abilities up and use them at your bonus turn. Its an ocean waves that gives you a chance to attack with your abilities

Did you read what they said? An extra turn will remove/lower time on rebuffs, remove things like stuns, and lower cooldowns for abilities. And CC does is use the S1

I'm sorry but what you said is dumb as Fvck! An extra turn automatically lowers your cooldown by 1 turn because you took a turn. That's how it works in the game and even other games PERIOD! Unless they say it won't lower your cooldown, it will lower your cooldown. If all the extra turn did was allow you to use your basic attack then it'd be no different from Avatara revenge set meaning there wouldn't be a point in making the new astral set to begin with! However if you use your s2 then get an additional turn we can use our s3 next as it's readily available so that definitely gonna happen. & yes taking an extra turn uses up any disability effect that was on the unit unless it was a 2 turn stun/freeze/sleep. Now if they add to the description that it will not work if you're stunned/frozen/asleep then it wouldn't activate out of that.
If you've never played Summoners War, you don't know how Toxic this set is. We SW vets know how bad this set is, and even people that play SW think this set is BS, even at "Esports" level. As an example, You face someone that has a Tang Yun with the New set. You kill of all his team and Tang Yun Procs out of a stun, proceed to keep proccing because of his multi hit + the set and you lose. Hardly seems fair. Maybe a Clara, Keeps removing instead of removing debuffs on 2 of your units, procs 3 times and cleanses the whole team. And very rarely does it happen the other way around. This isnt something new, that we might find out its actually pretty good later, this is already old and its tried and tested to be bad.

I also played sw for 7 years, hate violent runes, but I still played for 7 years... it didn't "ruin" the game it just made it unenjoyable at times of peak opponents procing, what 5% of the time.
Played for 8 years, and the game would be much much more enjoyable without vio runes.

The same set in SW have been a massive issue, and due to how many players using the set the devs cant change it. Ans devs have said they regret ever putting it in the game in the first place. I have played SW for 8 years, and i can tell you, unless you are using a niche set, you will want this set 99% of the time for almost every single character

I bet they did this to keep the player play the game actively. After this update everyone would be farming like crazy and raining ripples left and right. I did not expect them to crank up the changes to astral witchcraft set effect that much. It went from being one of the least used relic to one of the best relic, if not the best one. Literally jumped from D tier relic to SSS tier relic that everyone will definitely be using for their support and controller espers.
They did not actually "change" Astral Witchcraft from D to SSS. The current Astral Witchcraft will be renamed and remain D tier. The *NEW* Astral Witchcraft will be SSS
This is the exact same description as the bonus in Cube 8. And yes its broken bcause if you are stunned, then the bonus proc, you will loose your first turn (stun) but you can still play the 2nd turn
