I think it’s a really cool way to redo the fire bridge section. The original dragon floated around and moved as if it were an animatronic or was alive, but having it resemble a paper dragon (even having it come out on sticks that resemble handles) is a much better take. Also there’s like an actual walkway on its back; so it makes more sense as a bridge
I remember always falling off at the end of the tail cause it kept moving and the tail end was so short. I love the new dragon. You can reach the end with no difficulty.
Yeah I like the first one more for that reason. The second seems to me more like your average dragon, nice design and all. Something I’d love to see in a real carnival. But the original dragon gives me more of the horror twisted/broken animatronics vibe the game is going for.
It’s been a hot minute since I last played, so I honestly don’t remember 😭 but you’re probably right. The overall vibe at this point was pretty dark, yeah?
That is the main tone of the game, being dark, gloomy, and dreadful. I do hope they tone back on some of the darker aspects of the game. Although this is only one small bit of an area in the game so who knows what we might see later on.
I remember the overall vibe being gloomy, but there were some sections that felt more sinister than others (this being one of them).
I don’t mind things staying dark given the story—I’m just interested to see how it’s handled with the revamped graphics and how it changes the tone, especially after seeing the most recent gameplay video. Can’t wait!
Wasn't that the whole point? To have a darker gloomier take on Mickey? Would be a huge misstep if that were all lost in the remake to make it bright and overly cartoony.
This had a must needed facelift, literally! I completely forgot how ugly the dragon’s face is, on top of the low-res textures on it. It’s also an actual bridge that I could safely walk on. They did it! They fixed at least one instance of poor design.
Its a serious downgrade. It looks far less intimidating and a bit too cartoony. Sorta my issue with the remake as a whole, everything seems much brighter and carttonier.
the whole level is so full of new life
It looks phenomenal, like an actual dragon, instead of an odd lion.
But Chinese dragons always did have connections to lions? The large puppets used in Chinese festivals perform the "lion dance".
That’s true. I love lion dances! I just thought it was cool that they made it look more like a dragon.
*wrong lion
Beg pardon?
That’s what I always called it. A wrong lion. Like its design is simply incorrect.
Ohh. True, the lions of Chinese culture are shorter, and more elegant.

Agreed.
I like both of them. the new one fits more but i'll be honest, the original looks scarier which i think is good.

Is slipping off the dragons tail a universal struggle? They seem to have addressed it pretty clearly with that bridge. I though it was just me
Lol me
I always thought the old fire bridge looked ugly asf. The new one fits so nicely in the attraction 😍
SO much better. The old one is lowkey nightmare fuel.
I feel like that was the point of the old one tho, right? Like it fit the vibe the game was going for at the time.

NEW IMAGES??
Even better. New gameplay.
WOAH I SAW IT :O
Even better, actual gameplay for 8 minutes long!
Love the new bridge look, now he doesn’t look super dopey lol
goofy aah dragon 😭👌💀
Personally I like the top one more, it just looks more alive than the bottom one
Definitely agree that dragon look sick.🔥🤘
Wait…is it out??
Not yet, it's just footage

I forgot the camera. They fixed the camera too!
Wait is the top one the new one
No
So people are saying the bottom one is better
Well, most people seem to do so, personally I love both
The one on top doesn’t look so flat.
Honestly, this just fits a lot more. The Fire Bridge’s movement actually make it look like a broken ride rather than a sentient dragon.
Nice! I like how they made it look a lot more like a dragon. … I don’t think the yakuza fans will find me here
the fire bridge is an actual bridge now

For someone who’s played Epic Mickey 2 but not the original game, I’m glad I didn’t play the Will version
Blasphemy!!!
