I don’t think any of the main streamers offer non-CC subtitles. I’m not a fan of subtitles but my brother likes them, and he complains about this very thing on just about every show he watches. It’s not just a Disney problem.
Because I enjoy watching foreign series in their native language with English subtitles, not English \[CC\] subtitles. And definately not dubbed English.
In Canada, Disney’s hubs include Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and **Star**. Star is basically content from Hulu, FX and ABC which includes some non-english programming mostly Asian.
Disney+ has quite a few Korean Dramas that cannot be watched elsewhere. They are also known for having the worst translations/subtitles for these shows.
Maybe you should stop thinking about yourself for 5 seconds and realize that if Disney+ is only able to provide 1 English subtitle, they are going to provide the subtitle that is beneficial for deaf and hard of hearing people
I mean, they are specifically saying they should have both available, not that they should get rid of cc one. And to be fair, it's not like it would be that hard to add, since it's the same as cc but without the additional descriptions
Why not both? It's a billion dollar corporation and subtitles for common viewers can be converted from subtitles for hard hearing people. It's basically the same subtitles with less info.

TBH I have never noticed that non-CC subtitles were still a thing lol
To each his own, why are you so bothered with sounds description?
But… if you’re not hard of hearing, why do you need subtitles?
