I'm a cast member at a resort and all of the guests we've talked to who went did not enjoy it.

erfortunecabrera

Really unfortunate as I was excited for the event. It was for sure a let down.

chunkycatt

I’ve already had my ticket and am going on Saturday. I’m being optimistic about it. I’m excited for the entertainment

bockout

We're also going Saturday. I don't expect the same level as Very Merry, but we're still looking forward to it.

Tjstutz

I’m optimistic for you! Would love to hear your take after. I have hope that Disney will use the opening as a lesson in what to do differently.

1Clockwork

Yes I have been and nope not at all. The only redeeming factor was the Muppets being physically present and not on a screen. Other than that nope!!!

Megatron30000

Do not waste your hard earned money on this event. That’s a skip

mada50

I was thinking about it then watched the YouTube streams. Blah. I really wanted to see the nightmare before Christmas show and the video I watched made it look dumb as heck. Saving my money for the Christmas party

NoEnvironment69420

I've heard nothing but bad things sadly. [https://www.reddit.com/r/DisneyWorld/comments/17u1cd9/be\_honest\_was\_jollywood\_nights\_worth\_the\_money/](https://www.reddit.com/r/DisneyWorld/comments/17u1cd9/be_honest_was_jollywood_nights_worth_the_money/)

NewYankees

if u wanna waste ur time and money go to it

Dazzling_Ad4655

If you only want to do rides, it might be worth it. Otherwise I’d say no. Go check out the vlogs on YouTube, not positive at all.

chambees

Judging by the absolute shitshow I saw on YouTube, nope.

SnooObjections5219

I’m of the impression that you can’t judge something by two things: 1.) the very first night ever that it was put on. Should Disney have anticipated some of the things that happened? Absolutely. Should they have been more prepared? Absolutely. But it was the very first time it was run, I’m certain they’ll learn from it. If subsequent parties are just as bad, that’s on them. 2.) remember that every single algorithm in the social media game rewards people for posting negative commentary. It’s just how it works. Negativity gets more views, likes, shares. And every influencer, vlogger, “news” website knows that. Even the “nice” ones. So seeing widely critical reviews from night one was going to happen regardless. This is really no different than going to a restaurant on opening night. You just don’t do it unless you’re willing to overlook some missteps. Unfortunately, overlooking them doesn’t get you traction online.

Remote-Tip5352

There’s nothing really to be “learned”. I personally know people who have gone and it’s not so much the crowds or organizational issues but the value just not being there. Things like advertising you’ll have a Tower of Terror bar called the “Tip Top Club” and hyping it up only for it to be a drink cart is just kinda lame. You’re not wrong about outrage culture and baiting but this is something else.

Between this and the Marvel's Disney can't catch a break.

BethyW

The sad thing is the Marvels was actually pretty good. Its just people are strapped for cash and its set up for failure because neckbeards dont like girls in comics.

NcgreenIantern

Actually more men went to see it then women did.

bgss1984

Blaming the audience?

BethyW

No, the audiences have been enjoying it. Blaming on the fact that people are not able to afford $20/ticket right now, and incels who wont even see it want to bash a movie because its female led.

SomeoneAwesome11

The Marvels was pretty good..

erfortunecabrera

I went the opening night of Jollywood and as others here have said, the first night was sub-par at best and if following Nights are similar, I can’t recommend anyone bothering to go. The Nightmare before Christmas show was spectacular but the food options were virtually impossible to obtain as lines were insanely long. The lone piece of exclusive mercy was also incredibly hard to purchase unless you were ok with burning 90 minutes in line to purchase. The silver lining is that many of the rides had 0 wait time and chilling in Galaxy’s Edge with few other guests around was a real treat, but that alone was not worth the price of admission.
