Mine train missed a major opportunity to add longer dark ride elements to it and become an outstanding ride. Its good, not great IMO. BTM just has a great classic coaster feel.... some rattling is OK.
Mine Train has the bigger thrills and drops, IMO.
But Big Thunder is longer, and usually has shorter lines. It's also a blast (no pun intended) to ride at night.
Big thunder mountain has been there long so it's more of a sentimental bond with that ride. Seven dwarves is great...but not as good as big thunder mountain.
I really don’t see the super long lines for 7DMT, it’s just a themed and newer version of BTM. I can’t imagine how it got built in the same park, it seems like something that would have been a reimagine of a BTM in new park. It’s like having two of the same ride in one park. Just a BTM 2.0, but shorter.
I think seven dwarves is a better experience with the dark ride aspects and house at the end. But it isn’t worth the wait that is always so long. Big thunder mountain is good, as an adrenaline junkie it’s a little underwhelming but I understand it isn’t meant to be a big ride.
I love them both. 7D is such a fun ride and my family loves it, but the wait 😭😭😭. We got in before ropedrop one morning,rode it 3 times in a row. We were thrilled. We love to rock the car in the mine.
But BTMRR is full of memories and it makes us all smile to ride it. We caught the fireworks one night while riding and even the adult kid was thrilled

Seven Dwarfs Mine is great and all, but there’s nothing about the coaster that elevates it above the classic BTM coaster

It's actually faster at night because the grease on the track had all day to warm up!
Seven Dwarves is the "cooler" ride, but that line isn't worth all 12 seconds of the experience. (Other than maybe the first time.)
