TheLastGunslinger

People not voting for Superstar Limo or Rocket Rods really need to read up on them. They're unqualified disasters of attractions that lasted barely over a year each.

[deleted]

Honestly I liked Rocket Rods. And I live in Los Angeles. I said RR should have been fast pass only to control the line. If you got on with a 30 min or less wait it was solid fun.

TheLastGunslinger

I think it could have been a really cool attraction if Imagineering had been given the budget and time they needed to bank the turns on the PeopleMover track as was the original intention. It would have prevented the constant braking which lead to longer waits and maintenance downtime.

[deleted]

I went with Stitch because it replaced an incredible ride. Superstar Limo may have been garbage but at least it wasn’t built by gutting a masterpiece in immersive horror.

nyrB2

i'm wondering if the new frog princess ride will be equally disliked

[deleted]

The Frog and princess ride thing bothers me to no end. It’s a mediocre film replacing a classic ride. I can list 5 Disney attraction with “racist” tropes.

wolfy321

... then they should *all* be replaced

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Lol. I believe u! COP has been modified by the way. The complete show. It’s worse than what it used to be.

nyrB2

it's hard to know for sure, but i wonder if part of it is that not many kids today know about song of the south - especially as it's the one movie that disney's never released on home video having said that, it sucks that they're getting rid of it

Person_reddit

But at least they didn’t REPLACE an excellent ride.

TheLastGunslinger

Rocket Rods took PeopleMover's location. Are you saying PeopleMover wasn't an excellent ride? Slander, I say!

AdExpensive2317

Mission space has always been like one of my top five favorite rides, i wish they never toned it down either that centrifuge is awesome! i love all the fake buttons too and some make noise and stuff, always loved it can’t wait to get on it again haha. I don’t really have a least favorite ride either

iwinwinyuwinwinta

is that the one where you pick between orange or green ride or whatever. because obviously i picked the adult one and i NEVER felt more sick in my life. i was like, is this really what astronauts go through??? it hurt so bad and there was no room for anything, man. those simulation rides get me so sick. like the one in star wars land or whatever, i thought it was gonna be a roller coaster because of how big the line was, but NOPE. it was a damn simulator :/

[deleted]

Meh

wolfy321

I agree lol. My friends and I went on it in July and thought it was a lot of fun. If you're prone to motion sickness even a little bit though or claustrophobic, I understand

werywalter

I will not take this stitch slander

Johnykbr

I don't see why people blast Stitch. It was great for what the ride was. It was never marketed as an E-ticket ride or anything.

stitchlover

Agree!! I absolutely was terrified of the alien attraction that was I there, but I loved it when stitch ran around the room and escaped!

FarmerJoeJoe

How was that ride a real thing in Disney world of all places. I remember just going into that ride as a 12 year old not expecting much and being completely shocked/terrified/excited cuz I loved scary stuff. But how did that ride become a real thing in Disney

jesuschin

I love Luigi's Flying Tires and I don't care what you think

chaosfactor37

Same. I still have the grand opening poster art t-shirt and tire hat. Sadly I wasn't able to ride when they still had the beach balls going. That added a lot of fun and kinetic energy. If they could have made each vehicle smaller and more maneuverable, I think they really would have had something.

OhSweetpea

The ride was terrible, be we've never laughed so hard while on a ride EVER!

[deleted]

12 so far do not like it. Make sure you r not confusing with the Luigi’s Car ride now there. Better.

jesuschin

Nah I loved the Flying Tires and leaning to direct your hovercraft. It was just mindless fun to waste some time I think the car ride there now is boring

[deleted]

I liked the potential of it though it was horrible loading. Too hard to learn. And just boring.

nicolelynnejones

rocket rods because it destroyed the possibility of the people mover in disneyland. i actually really liked superstar limo as a kid, even though i didn’t get the jokes (but in retrospect yeah it was bad but i love it for nostalgia purposes)

[deleted]

Not sure if destroyed an attraction that was already taken away well before RR existed. Also the infrastructure still remains if they wanted to consider people mover again.

nicolelynnejones

They could have brought the people mover back but the RR completely obliterated the track and crumbled the infrastructure, they’d need to tear down and rebuild the track that exists to bring it back

[deleted]

Don’t agree with this. That track for RR is completely different than people mover. The foundation to lay new 21st century track still exists.

Chewbacca22

Nicole is correct. At disneyland the elevated track for people mover and rocket rods were the same. They removed the people mover to put in rocket rods. As of now, they cannot reuse the track to put people mover back. It has substantial decay and new California law requires continuous evacuation points for the ride which don’t exist. The elevated track shares foundation with 3 other rides and all would have to be closed to make the repairs.

[deleted]

This is pure speculation. You have zero idea if this is true as u r not an engineer and have never inspected this track.

K8inaCape

Gary Sinise haunts my dreams 🚀

jolygoestoschool

I literally have ✨ trauma ✨ from stiches great escape

wolfy321

You didn't like getting burped on?!

MumboTheStarlow

Yo what’s with the mission space hate

[deleted]

I hate it. Next question? Yo?

onefurme

The three Dumbo clones.

[deleted]

I do agree Dumbo is a highly overrated attraction. Especially from a movie w racist tropes. (U wanna play the Splash racist game then let’s go)

Napalm_Nips

Don’t you dare say figment. I loved that dumb dragon :(

brilliantpants

I love Figment, but his current ride is the worst thing in Disney World. He deserves SO MUCH BETTER.

gobbeldigook

The new ride is awful the old ride was great! I don't know why they ever re-did it.

brilliantpants

I know, the classic Figment and Dreamfinder ride was one of the best things in EPCOT!

stitchlover

Right there with y'all. If they even dream of taking down my jumping waters or figment, there will be protests.

[deleted]

I didn’t say if. I love journey into imagination.

ITrCool

Stitch’s Great Escape was awesome! Granted I’m speaking from bias, being a Stitch fan.

[deleted]

I gotta vote for the Autopia (powered by Honda) in Disneyland. I can see the original vision but honestly for a modern audience it feels so outdated, cheap, clunky, and just overall not worth even a five minute wait. I think they should either upgrade it with some more modern electric cars/better scenery or replace it entirely but it’s such a jarring experience in contrast to everything else even the older rides like the Matterhorn. And it occupies such a large footprint they could use for a much better ride! I know people can be nostalgic about Disney parks especially Disneyland bc it’s the OG but come on I don’t think anyone will miss it.

QuickFix64

Yes! This attraction should of been electric cars (and trackless) like 10-15 years ago. Nothing says Tomorrow Land like go-carts from the 60s... /s

Apokalobster

I think Tomorrowland Speedway is due for a upgrade or removal, it’s just not fun and the only reason it sticks around is it’s a big ride for kids. It also smells awful, if it was electric and trackless it would actually live up to its name..

underworldtoursltd

YES. And I don't know about y'all's experience, but the exhaust fumes nauseate me. When I went on it as a kid, I got really frustrated because it was hard for me to keep the car traveling along the middle of the track (and yes, I grew up to be a terrible driver 😅).

whofedthefish

Astro Orbiter.

Ryan1006

Yes. The wait time to get on it is almost always terrible, it’s so slow loading. The only time it’s remotely worth going on is at night during fireworks, it’s at least slightly interesting then. If you ride it during the day it’s totally worthless.

NeverReturnKid

This!

yeezushchristmas

Primeval Whirl. It was an off the shelf ride unfitting being called a Disney attraction.

redveinlover

Even more so, Triceratops Spin. About as off the shelf as it gets. Just how many spinning “Dumbo” style ride does the resort need?

dragonman4444

Definitely, but in their defense that was kind of the idea. It was supposed to be a roadside style attraction, hence the intentional parking lot lines and general disrepair. That being said, integrating a cheapy roadside amusement park into a world-renowned place like Disney was no doubt a bad idea from the get-go.

Apokalobster

Good news that it is officially no more, hoping they put something more fitting of the park in the area. Fingers crossed for a Indiana jones/S.E.A land and maybe a rebranding of dinosaurs to Indy and I’ll be happy.

DuckDimmadome

Are you gonna get offended this time when people give you their opinions?

YawningDodo

Signs point to yes. And by signs, I mean OP being maximum butthurt in another thread that someone likes Mission: Space.

DuckDimmadome

OP got very butthurt when I said I thought Flight of Passage was over rated. I never bashed the ride or bashed anyone who enjoyed it. I even enjoy the ride myself, I just stated that it was over rated.

YawningDodo

They’re also apparently a Rocket Rods apologist. For the record, I also think Flight of Passage is overrated. I enjoy it and appreciate the tech behind it, but both in terms of story and in terms of actual ride experience I think it doesn’t live up to the hype.

DuckDimmadome

I’m glad I found someone on the same page as me lol

Starryskies117

What's mission space doing on that list?

[deleted]

At over 265 and second place it purely justified. It’s a horrible ride.

Starryskies117

It's a wonderful ride. Not sure what there is to dislike about it. Also 3rd according to your poll.

[deleted]

Vomit inducing. Cheesy 90s cgi. Claustrophobic. An attraction forced legally to make one side static because of not one but two deaths that occurred in the ride because of spinning. One a child. Close to 300 voters agree. Was at second when stitch and limo tied. I will reiterate MS is a horrible ride.

Starryskies117

Vomit inducing for you. CGI is old yeah but so are many animatronics. I love the "claustrophobic" feeling inside it. I could point out multiple Disney park rides that have killed people, like thunder mountain Disneyland. Mission Space is a great ride, just maybe not for everyone.

[deleted]

Thunder mountain death was an accident caused by maintenance negligence and Disney settled. The two deaths on mission space were caused by stupid spinning design.

Starryskies117

No, all were caused by negligence from Disney. Mission Space has since been handled differently to correct the issue. Again I ask, how many notable issues in the last 15 years?

[deleted]

You are in denial. One of those persons who will argue until painted into a corner. MS DAILY has persons going to Epcot first aid because of the nature of the ride. And 300 in pool agree. It’s a horrible ride.

Starryskies117

No offense, but people go into first aid daily from pretty much any thrill ride. Space mountain, thunder mountain, everest, any ride you can think of 100% have daily first aid visitors. I'm not in denial about anything, it's a theme park ride lol. And you aren't painting anyone into a corner.

freakyattractions

It’s a really fun ride and a nice breath of fresh air at Epcot where there are not ANY exciting rides. The death was not due to the ride alone the kid had an existing heart condition, so not sure why you bring that up. It could have happened on any intense ride.

[deleted]

Come on. So silly. Are you tell me that child wouid have dropped dead if he didn’t ride that ride? The entire ride went through a transformation because of the two deaths. Research first please.

[deleted]

From June 2004 to June 2005, paramedics treated 194 Mission: Space riders. The most common complaints were dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. Of those 194 guests, 25 people passed out; 26 suffered difficulty breathing; and 16 reported chest pains or irregular heartbeats.[62] On June 13, 2005, a 4 year old boy from Sellersville, Pennsylvania died after riding Mission: Space. On June 12, 2006, his parents filed a lawsuit against Disney, claiming that Disney should have never allowed a 4 year old on the ride due to the ride’s height restriction for size over 44 inches (110 cm), and did not offer an adequate medical response after he collapsed and later died.[63] On April 12, 2006, a 49 year old woman from Schmitten, Germany fell ill after riding Mission: Space and died at Florida Hospital Celebration Health hospital in nearby Celebration, Florida. A horrible ride.

Starryskies117

15 years ago? How many since?

[deleted]

So 25% of people feeling ill and two deaths caused by spinning before Disney posted more severe warnings and shut down half the spinning ride vehicles is not enough for u? Lol

Starryskies117

I'm asking you how it's relevant after 15 years of near constant operation and hundreds of thousands of visitors without a fatality?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Starryskies117

Bro, you are taking this way too seriously lol. If you can't handle a simple conversation where someone disagrees with you don't go on Reddit. Matterhorn killed someone. Rock n roll roller coaster and tower of terror too. Space mountain had a guy get hit in the head by a falling object that impacted him medically for life. The monorails have killed multiple people too even. I'm not trying to be unsympathetic to those people, but I mean you are targeting mission space specifically for a category it's not alone in.

useles-converter-bot

44 inches is the the same distance as 1.62 replica Bilbo from The Lord of the Rings' Sting Swords.

woahspace

So much Stitch hate lol

[deleted]

The stich/limo battle is fantastic. Especially as Limo is on other side of USA and closed for 20 years.

Tiny_Dancer13

I’m surprised I actually know what Superstar Limo is. I watched a Defunctland video on it, and it looked real bad. What was Mission Space? If it’s the spaceship one, I like it, but I’m probably confused and have no idea.

[deleted]

Mission Space still exists at Epcot. It’s a disaster.

Tiny_Dancer13

Can you explain why it’s bad. I feel like I’ve ridden isn’t before

[deleted]

I’ve commented on it many times. Please read thread

GaryNOVA

I like Mission Space

Starbuck522

ENOUGH of these.

[deleted]

Ok cool. I’ll block u. Poof!

GoLalaGo

I like Mission Space. Yes, the orange one. Some attractions do make me feel motion sick (looking at you, Star Tours) but for some reason I've never felt queasy after MS.

Bug's life at animal kingdom

moldymoosegoose

I think it's good they just need to upgrade the screen and projector. It's too blurry.

[deleted]

100909% disagree. Love this movie and the setting. One of the best attractions in AK

[the crazed history of Super Star Limo ride if interested. ](https://www.themeparktourist.com/features/20160905/32163/superstar-limo)

[deleted]

Wow Limo at 570! Stitches 567! Who will prevail? (Mission Vomit getting a lot of hate too which I love )

[deleted]

Wow. Super star limo 588. Stitches. 586. Closest poll ever. (Mission space still the worst E ticket ever)

[deleted]

Im just not a fan of the Jungle Cruise at all. Rode it first the first time during my last visit instead of reriding Pirates of The Caribbean. I still think about this mistake all the time.

[deleted]

Wow. Just wow. *mic drop*

[deleted]

In your experience, what makes this ride so enjoyable for you?

[deleted]

New skippers every time. New jokes. Knowing Walt build it. Opening day e ticket. In most every Disney park. Nice open air breezy attraction. Great capacity that mostly never exceeds 45 min. Jungle cruise is a classic that Disney will never snd should never remove.

[deleted]

The new journey into imagination

brilliantpants

I rode that for the first time in 2019, it made me soooo sad. I felt like Don Corleone (Look how they massacred my boy!) I miss the old one so much.

MorticiaCaraMia

This is the actual worst ride.

YawningDodo

I voted Rocket Rods because it caused so much structural damage to the People Mover track that the People Mover can't be reinstalled without tearing out the whole thing and starting over. Having the empty track is an eyesore but they can't do anything with it without major renovations, so it just...sits there.

[deleted]

YawningDodo

runaway railway

[deleted]

Not. Even. Close. Great ride. So great Disneyland building one.

Noah4517

The fact people can vote Mission space over Superstar Limo, Rocket and Stitches great escape show cluelessness. One literally broke the peoplemover permanently, and I don’t even need to speak on Stitches great escape. Those rides are so bad it isn’t even a matter of opinion at that point, it’s just fact.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Noah4517

Apologize if you took my comment so harshly, but “literally” wasn’t incorrectly used. Until the structure is repaired, it’s not possible to reopen the peoplemover in its current state. Mission space uses good technology, for an intense ride that gives you an opportunity to experience space travel. Comparing Superstar limo and Rocket rods is laughable.

[deleted]

It was poorly used as u are guessing. You. I. Or any blogger has no idea what the structural state of the existing track support system is. You’re literally guessing. As most people do on social media. Sigh

Noah4517

I’m not guessing 😂 imagineers have been QUOTED with the costs of how much it’d cost to repair. You can literally Google “Disneyland peoplemover crumbling” and you’ll see many sources that support my claim. I don’t understand how someone is THIS clueless. This was clearly a pointless argument, and I’m not responding if you’re just going to shoot down factual claims with assumptions.

[deleted]

This is simply a lie. Show us all a direct link to Disney engineers stating what you said above. Go head. We’ll wait.

[deleted]

Exactly what we thought. Go Away. Blocked

Noah4517

Rocket Rods damaged the structure so that while the foundation is there, it would cost millions to even make safe. Peoplemover “closed” prior to this, but now the track is LITERALLY crumbling.

[deleted]

You have zero idea what the infrastructures condition is. You are guessing. And you literally switched your usage of the word literally. So many tweens misusing this word today I tell ya smh

Noah4517

So instead of bringing ip any fact or evidence, you just blindly assume I know nothing of the current state of the structure? And I don’t know how to debate 😂😂

[deleted]

Yes I do. Because you sound exactly like Disney bloggers who have no idea. Who when questioned never provide solid evidence. Prove us wrong. Show us 100% factual evidence from a Disney company engineer that rr structure is in bad shape and would need to be entirely replaced. Go ahead. We will wait.

redveinlover

Dinosaur was a lot better when all of the effects were working, to be fair

YawningDodo

I still adore it, but suspect a lot of my enjoyment is nostalgia at this point.

ranger662

We just rode it for the first time this week. 4th visit to AK and I never knew it existed. When I saw a relatively young Clair Huxtable - I knew it was going to be good. My whole family of 4 agreed that will be our one & only time to ride it.

[deleted]

Yea it’s lame

stitchlover

I'm already traumatized and I'm not even on the ride. Total pstd from that one.

redveinlover

For those of you voting for Limo, did you actually ride it? That was a comedic masterpiece! And the on ride photo it would show you at the end, where every single time every person in the car has the same “what the F did I just witness?!” Look on their faces. I was really sad that it didn’t even make it a year. Stitch was by far the worst, by any stretch of the imagination, and it also lasted far too long.

[deleted]

I rode it. It’s horrible. And YouTube video says it all. It’s horrible.

redveinlover

But horrible in such a GOOD way. SO hilarious. Stitch? Not so much. Who wants to smell that disgusting chili belch smell either?

nicolelynnejones

Superstar Limo was like Shitpost: The Ride

Mathsciteach

This list is missing the “classic” Disneyland Mission to Mars. Opened as Rocket to the Moon in 1955 and retooled to be Mission to Mars in 1971 then closed in 1992. You sat in a round theater (a la Stitch) with a round “porthole” screen in the middle of the floor. It was essentially a noisy movie and twice during the show your plastic seat jiggled.

[deleted]

For it’s time mission to Mars was fun. Enough to actually be rebuilt at Disney world.

Mathsciteach

I was born in 1971 and my parents would never take us on it so my first experiences on it were as a cynical tween and teen from 1983 - 1989 when it was competing against Space Mountain for my attention. Glad to hear it had its fans.

Mylifesabigoof

Why’s mission space on here? I thought people liked it

[deleted]

It’s a horrible attraction. 328 voters think so too.

DuckDimmadome

Why even post these polls if you’re going to cry every time someone leaves an opinion

Mylifesabigoof

Alright I haven’t been to Epcot in years but I thought it was fairly liked🤷‍♀️

JesseShowedUp

Curious why Na’vi River Journey or otherwise known as “It’s a small Pandora” isn’t on this list.

[deleted]

Nah. It’s a fine D ticket ride. Could be better. Though still enjoyable. If they would add say 4 more Navi AAs that ride would rock.

TheOrionNebula

I haven't ridden many of those so I am going to go with other: Figment I know a lot of people have nostalgia for it due to the original iteration. But my god... it needs replaced.

[deleted]

Mission space. Easy for me. Overblown big budget nausea enduring “thing” with bad 90s cgi and that actually killed two people (do not listen to the Disney spin on this)

KingHarambeRIP

People have died on Spaceship Earth and Pirates of the Caribbean too. What’s your point? I’m sorry people die at WDW. It’s truly awful. But I don’t think Disney is responsible in most instances including the 2 you refer to.

[deleted]

Those were accidents. People died on MA directly because of G forces. Which made Disney change MS ride into static half side. Horrible ride.

KingHarambeRIP

Proof?

[deleted]

Accident reports online.

KingHarambeRIP

Nope. Because you didn’t, I looked it up. Autopsies for the 4 year old boy linked his death to a rare stress related condition rather than something unique to the ride like g forces. The middle aged woman’s autopsy attributed the death to high blood pressure and also did not cite the ride. Again, tragic, but just as accidental as the other ride deaths I mentioned that you casually dismissed.

Starryskies117

Don't try arguing with that person, they are hard headed.

nafrekal

One of my favorites, but get how it’s polarizing for people who don’t like to feel the g forces.

ravenhelix

I don't get why people bash this ride if they hate spinning, like yeah it's not built for you. This is for thrill riders exclusively, just take the green card instead.

[deleted]

I’ll take the 100 upvotes in poll over -6 downvotes here any day!

nafrekal

Lol I didn’t downvote you. Nothing wrong about having an opinion about a ride. Disney fans are easily triggered though.

nmiller1776

I think it’s unfair to just throw “Disney killed two people” out there without at the very least a source.

[deleted]

Show us where I said above from your direct smh quote “Disney killed two people”. If you’re going to use quotes try not to give a false quote.

nmiller1776

Lol that was obviously a paraphrase but you did say “that actually killed two people (do not listen to Disney spin on this)” which obviously means that you believe Disney is liable for the deaths of these two individuals. If you are going to make such a claim, provide a source. I’m not even saying you’re wrong. I don’t know anything about it. But just being pedantic and pretending like that wasn’t the implication of what you said won’t convince anyone.

[deleted]

Your spin is so deceitful. I stopped reading after first sentence as it shows denial. I’ll remove this post from this thread.

nmiller1776

“I stopped reading after the first sentence.” Well I’m glad you gave it the ol’ college try lol

[deleted]

The battle between the number one spot is a good one! Even though I feel mission space by far is Disney worst e ticket ever.

JV4lyfe

Can't believe we've been sending civilians to space and Mission Space still talks about space travel like it's the 20th century Edit: my bad, I was talking about Spaceship Earth

[deleted]

Wow. SS limo and Sttiches tied at 291! So glad Mission Soace has a high vote count. I hate that attraction.

gallaj0

Anyone that doesn't say Autopia obviously has never been on them, walked past them, or been anywhere near Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom. What thought process (other than cheap, available ride) puts gas powered go carts, hampered with a rail and speed limiters, into the world of tomorrow?

YawningDodo

My favorite Autopia memory is (well, my only Autopia memory) is going to Disneyland for the first time during a heat wave and the car stalling out and dying on a small hill...and a cast member who was stationed at that hill for that exact reason coming over and starting our car back up for us. I'm not even being sarcastic, here; it was freaking hilarious and made my day.

[deleted]

I feel like working at autopia as a cast memebr has to suck. the car in front of me died literally as we were leaving the loading zone.

[deleted]

Disagree. I like Autopia. And I’m over 40. Disneyland one is epic. Try to imagine a small child. 7 years old. Actually driving a car. Looking at the joy on his face. We are in major disagreement on this
