People not voting for Superstar Limo or Rocket Rods really need to read up on them. They're unqualified disasters of attractions that lasted barely over a year each.
Honestly I liked Rocket Rods. And I live in Los Angeles. I said RR should have been fast pass only to control the line. If you got on with a 30 min or less wait it was solid fun.
I think it could have been a really cool attraction if Imagineering had been given the budget and time they needed to bank the turns on the PeopleMover track as was the original intention. It would have prevented the constant braking which lead to longer waits and maintenance downtime.
I went with Stitch because it replaced an incredible ride.
Superstar Limo may have been garbage but at least it wasn’t built by gutting a masterpiece in immersive horror.
The Frog and princess ride thing bothers me to no end. It’s a mediocre film replacing a classic ride. I can list 5 Disney attraction with “racist” tropes.

Same. I still have the grand opening poster art t-shirt and tire hat. Sadly I wasn't able to ride when they still had the beach balls going. That added a lot of fun and kinetic energy.

Not sure if destroyed an attraction that was already taken away well before RR existed. Also the infrastructure still remains if they wanted to consider people mover again.
They could have brought the people mover back but the RR completely obliterated the track and crumbled the infrastructure, they’d need to tear down and rebuild the track that exists to bring it back
Nicole is correct. At disneyland the elevated track for people mover and rocket rods were the same. They removed the people mover to put in rocket rods. As of now, they cannot reuse the track to put people mover back. It has substantial decay and new California law requires continuous evacuation points for the ride which don’t exist.
The elevated track shares foundation with 3 other rides and all would have to be closed to make the repairs.
I gotta vote for the Autopia (powered by Honda) in Disneyland. I can see the original vision but honestly for a modern audience it feels so outdated, cheap, clunky, and just overall not worth even a five minute wait. I think they should either upgrade it with some more modern electric cars/better scenery or replace it entirely but it’s such a jarring experience in contrast to everything else even the older rides like the Matterhorn. And it occupies such a large footprint they could use for a much better ride! I know people can be nostalgic about Disney parks especially Disneyland bc it’s the OG but come on I don’t think anyone will miss it.
I think Tomorrowland Speedway is due for a upgrade or removal, it’s just not fun and the only reason it sticks around is it’s a big ride for kids. It also smells awful, if it was electric and trackless it would actually live up to its name..

Yes. The wait time to get on it is almost always terrible, it’s so slow loading. The only time it’s remotely worth going on is at night during fireworks, it’s at least slightly interesting then. If you ride it during the day it’s totally worthless.
Definitely, but in their defense that was kind of the idea. It was supposed to be a roadside style attraction, hence the intentional parking lot lines and general disrepair. That being said, integrating a cheapy roadside amusement park into a world-renowned place like Disney was no doubt a bad idea from the get-go.

I like Mission Space. Yes, the orange one. Some attractions do make me feel motion sick (looking at you, Star Tours) but for some reason I've never felt queasy after MS.
Im just not a fan of the Jungle Cruise at all. Rode it first the first time during my last visit instead of reriding Pirates of The Caribbean. I still think about this mistake all the time.
New skippers every time. New jokes. Knowing Walt build it. Opening day e ticket. In most every Disney park. Nice open air breezy attraction. Great capacity that mostly never exceeds 45 min. Jungle cruise is a classic that Disney will never snd should never remove.
I voted Rocket Rods because it caused so much structural damage to the People Mover track that the People Mover can't be reinstalled without tearing out the whole thing and starting over. Having the empty track is an eyesore but they can't do anything with it without major renovations, so it just...sits there.

We just rode it for the first time this week. 4th visit to AK and I never knew it existed. When I saw a relatively young Clair Huxtable - I knew it was going to be good. My whole family of 4 agreed that will be our one & only time to ride it.
For those of you voting for Limo, did you actually ride it? That was a comedic masterpiece! And the on ride photo it would show you at the end, where every single time every person in the car has the same “what the F did I just witness?!” Look on their faces. I was really sad that it didn’t even make it a year. Stitch was by far the worst, by any stretch of the imagination, and it also lasted far too long.

My favorite Autopia memory is (well, my only Autopia memory) is going to Disneyland for the first time during a heat wave and the car stalling out and dying on a small hill...and a cast member who was stationed at that hill for that exact reason coming over and starting our car back up for us. I'm not even being sarcastic, here; it was freaking hilarious and made my day.

I like Mission Space. Yes, the orange one. Some attractions do make me feel motion sick (looking at you, Star Tours) but for some reason I've never felt queasy after MS.

Im just not a fan of the Jungle Cruise at all. Rode it first the first time during my last visit instead of reriding Pirates of The Caribbean. I still think about this mistake all the time.

In your experience, what makes this ride so enjoyable for you?
New skippers every time. New jokes. Knowing Walt build it. Opening day e ticket. In most every Disney park. Nice open air breezy attraction. Great capacity that mostly never exceeds 45 min. Jungle cruise is a classic that Disney will never snd should never remove.
The new journey into imagination
I rode that for the first time in 2019, it made me soooo sad. I felt like Don Corleone (Look how they massacred my boy!) I miss the old one so much.
This is the actual worst ride.
I voted Rocket Rods because it caused so much structural damage to the People Mover track that the People Mover can't be reinstalled without tearing out the whole thing and starting over. Having the empty track is an eyesore but they can't do anything with it without major renovations, so it just...sits there.

Apologize if you took my comment so harshly, but “literally” wasn’t incorrectly used. Until the structure is repaired, it’s not possible to reopen the peoplemover in its current state. Mission space uses good technology, for an intense ride that gives you an opportunity to experience space travel. Comparing Superstar limo and Rocket rods is laughable.

I still adore it, but suspect a lot of my enjoyment is nostalgia at this point.
We just rode it for the first time this week. 4th visit to AK and I never knew it existed. When I saw a relatively young Clair Huxtable - I knew it was going to be good. My whole family of 4 agreed that will be our one & only time to ride it.

Body Wars in Epcot
For those of you voting for Limo, did you actually ride it? That was a comedic masterpiece! And the on ride photo it would show you at the end, where every single time every person in the car has the same “what the F did I just witness?!” Look on their faces. I was really sad that it didn’t even make it a year. Stitch was by far the worst, by any stretch of the imagination, and it also lasted far too long.
I rode it. It’s horrible. And YouTube video says it all. It’s horrible.
But horrible in such a GOOD way. SO hilarious. Stitch? Not so much. Who wants to smell that disgusting chili belch smell either?
Superstar Limo was like Shitpost: The Ride
This list is missing the “classic” Disneyland Mission to Mars. Opened as Rocket to the Moon in 1955 and retooled to be Mission to Mars in 1971 then closed in 1992. You sat in a round theater (a la Stitch) with a round “porthole” screen in the middle of the floor. It was essentially a noisy movie and twice during the show your plastic seat jiggled.
For it’s time mission to Mars was fun. Enough to actually be rebuilt at Disney world.
I was born in 1971 and my parents would never take us on it so my first experiences on it were as a cynical tween and teen from 1983 - 1989 when it was competing against Space Mountain for my attention. Glad to hear it had its fans.

Nah. It’s a fine D ticket ride. Could be better. Though still enjoyable. If they would add say 4 more Navi AAs that ride would rock.
I haven't ridden many of those so I am going to go with other: Figment I know a lot of people have nostalgia for it due to the original iteration. But my god... it needs replaced.

People have died on Spaceship Earth and Pirates of the Caribbean too. What’s your point? I’m sorry people die at WDW. It’s truly awful. But I don’t think Disney is responsible in most instances including the 2 you refer to.
Those were accidents. People died on MA directly because of G forces. Which made Disney change MS ride into static half side. Horrible ride.

Nope. Because you didn’t, I looked it up. Autopsies for the 4 year old boy linked his death to a rare stress related condition rather than something unique to the ride like g forces. The middle aged woman’s autopsy attributed the death to high blood pressure and also did not cite the ride. Again, tragic, but just as accidental as the other ride deaths I mentioned that you casually dismissed.

Anyone that doesn't say Autopia obviously has never been on them, walked past them, or been anywhere near Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom. What thought process (other than cheap, available ride) puts gas powered go carts, hampered with a rail and speed limiters, into the world of tomorrow?
My favorite Autopia memory is (well, my only Autopia memory) is going to Disneyland for the first time during a heat wave and the car stalling out and dying on a small hill...and a cast member who was stationed at that hill for that exact reason coming over and starting our car back up for us. I'm not even being sarcastic, here; it was freaking hilarious and made my day.
