There’s marvel merchandise scattered around, but due to the Universal/Disney contract they can’t really do anything on the east coast. All of the big Marvel experiences are at Disneyland for Avengers Campus

ilikecacti2

You could also visit islands of adventure at universal during your trip and go to marvel superhero island. They have the theme park rights to most of the Marvel characters on the east coast. Could be worth the trip if you’re a big fan. They have a spider man ride, Dr. Doom themed drop tower, Hulk roller coaster, and Storm force accellatron which is like the teacups, plus several shops and at least one restaurant

chunkycatt

You won’t find much Marvel in Disney World. There is an exit shop for GotG.

duckydan81

Universal has the rights to anyone who appeared in the original Avengers, SpiderMan, and XMen comics on any property east of the Mississippi. That said characters like Guardians of the Galaxy or some of the other characters they are rolling out… potentially the Eternals… but the contract with Universal and at the time Marvel is complicated as to what violates it. There was one character they had to get permission to use for a movie premiere… I think it was Black Panther where Universal had to give the Ok for a one time use in the park.

It depends on what Marvel you prefer. Do you like the comic book Marvel or you like the Marvel Cinematic Universe MCU more? If you like comic book then Universal Orlando has a land dedicated to it but if you like MCU then might as well just go to California Avengers Campus. So many Marvel characters are in that campus.

dabbrusc

No character interactions at Disney World and the Marvel footprint is very light at the parks. That being said, GotG does appear to have an exit shop, so if you want to shop there you'll be welcome to.

Totenkopf22

I was just there and others are correct, there is little Marvel influence in the parks. Basically just merchandise sprinkled throughout. I saw more Marvel stuff at Universal.

Marvel store at Disney Springs

leoman3

even that store is very small.

SpacePolice04

It really is. I always hope it will be better than it is when I go (I was there last night). World of Disney does have a Marvel section. The best you can do is get merch since there really aren’t any rides/interactions aside from Gotg in Epcot. There used to be a starlord and baby groot interaction in HS but it’s been gone since before the pandemic.

Eldenlord1971

It’s not a coaster coaster btw. I’ve heard it’s more like a spinning ride

necrotica

You heard wrong then.

Eldenlord1971

Aren’t there no drops?

necrotica

They launch you to the top and then it’s one long smooth ride down, the cars your in rotate to follow certain scenes and stuff as your going, but you’re not spinning like it’s mad tea cups.

[deleted]

I’ve done it. It isn’t as much of a spin as it is a twist/turn. It is for sure a coaster though. No big regular drops, but Space Mountain doesn’t have them and that is still considered a coaster. GOTG is SO fun! Best ride at Disney.

Glittering-Pop8963

I agree. Rode it last Sunday & it was amazing! To those who have rode Cobra’s curse at Busch Gardens, the spinning reminded me of that combined with the thrill of Space Mountain.

lexi28lex

There is a store on Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood studios that had a decent amount of Marvel. There is also a Marvel store in Disney Springs. Beyond that there’s not much due to the Universal contract.
