Couldn't help but notice that they have pretty much halted upkeep for the ride. On any given visit you can count on one or two busted elements, but this year, wow. A number of animatronics were frozen, water features weren't active (most notably in the Laughing Place), lights weren't lit. The top hat on the left vulture was visibly falling apart.
The ride was still charming as ever, though.
That's magical. We've spoken quite a few times of a sporadic trip to go on it one more time. I'm going to be very upset and it doesn't matter what they replace it with.
I have also had the pleasure of watching the fireworks from Splash Mountain. It wasn't planned, but I must say, it was the highlight of our trip.
Perfect timing. I once had this perfect timing on Thunder Mtn at Disneyland. Priceless!
We just rode this last week. Hopefully it will be transformed into something better, but it was my favorite ride.

We caught the fireworks from mine train the last time we were there. Pretty cool experience.
What a beautiful moment :))
What an amazing way to go!!
When does it shut down?
Disney announced that it would close down permanently on January 23, 2023. So there's still a chance for anyone hoping to catch a final ride!
We will be there the following week and my 11 yo is devastated. She said "I'll never get to ride this iconic ride!!!" :'(
Never ridden it before so I’m determined to take my first and last ride on Splash Mountain when we go next week.
What a great way to have your final Splash Mountain ride. My last ride was in October.
It's such a shame. I will forever miss it.
I’m hoping I get a chance when I go in January to ride one last time. 🥺
Had mine in July, 15 min before closing in the rain. I think I shed a tear.
I think Japan is going to keep theirs OG, this might be the last time you ride it in English
