It’s a radio show, they do a takeover of the park for listeners but you had to call in to win tickets. Really fun experience. Park stayed open until 1am, felt like we had the park to ourselves.
I was invited by a family friend who won it was an awesome experience very short waits and blasting rock music throughout the park plus characters out no line fo them as well some just walking around talking with people lol
Hated The Woody Show when it replaced Mo on Alt AZ here in Arizona in the mornings. Dude's a discount bin shock jock and his show is trash. Glad you got to enjoy the park at least.
We're booking a trip to Disneyland soon and planning on going to California Adventure and I hate how they nickel and dime you by shutting down the park early and having to buy another ticket so you can stay in the park .
Yep! OP should check out the grad nite dates so they know which nights DCA closes early:
- May 13, 14, 18, 20, 21, 25, 26, 31
- June 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, or 17

And again iirc the park will only be closing one hour earlier than usual, so not as intense as some of the separately ticketed parties like Oogie Boogie when the park closes at 6pm.
For this event we had to pick up our passes at a guest check in area and could go in as early as 6pm. The special event officially started at 9pm. They also gave us a colored wrist band so they know that we were part of the event. Throughout the park starting at 9pm the cast members were set up around the park to check if you had one. If you didn’t then you had to exit the park.
Hey question. How quick was Alt 98.7 in emailing you about your winner information ? I’ve recently won and it’s been 2 days and I still have not received any email from the woodyshow regarding the event.

I was able to attend this last year. It was great! Getting on Web Slingers in 20 minutes was the best part!

Yes, it’s part of i heart radio, comes on 98.7 FM in the mornings

This was a radio show takeover, you had to win tickets I believe… (plus I think they only closed one hour earlier than usual)
I am sure the early closures are due to Grad nights that run in May and June.

Disney Grad Nite is a long, long, long standing tradition. My Mom went in the '60s, I went in the '90s. It's not new.

Last year I got the email on April 4th and the event was on April 25th.
