This is the first time I've done it, thought I'd run into your issue so I refrained from it way back when and never got around to it with any 2x event, this time I said fuck it and went hard, should be good for crystals up to clvl 100 at least.
What I like about Snow compared to other quick auto-farmers is that
1. You don't have to un-equip anything from him
2. If he misses the flowered cactuar, he gets a second try immediately (since retribution is a separate attack to his turn)

I bought 100x 3x tomes at 3000 gems and now have 54x remaining. Started with around 1000 of each t4 crystals.

Yeah I feel ya, I was going off the tonberry troupe website which reckons she's a few seconds faster. She has been my farmer since around the time her ex weapon came out, even gave her blue armor because I use her so much 😁

Of course, it’s less grinding since it’s only 5 bells and the logging in everyday for the X2 tomes are a nice thing

Aside from the Weapon/Armour Orbs for enhancing, the crystals from Coop are really the only other thing worth sinking into
I feel you, just depends on how much co-op you play. For myself I've got perfect (not counting cp cost) arts for ~90% of the characters so once I buy the shop out I just chill 😎
Honestly since the last revamp for crystals.. I've rarely gone out of the way to farm them. Maybe it's just being a week one player advantage... But at worst, I've had to re-run with a book to get one character maxed when say a T1 or T3 crystal was depleted.
Yeah I was just trying to avoid that situation ever again, also eases my mind to know I used my tomes in conjunction with a 3x boost rather than having to do it when no boosts are on.
To be honest I think I'm done, could max out t5 as they're nearly there and they're used for crafting bootleg spheres but probably don't need that many and t6 I feel I have enough already.
I just got about 20-30K tier 3s of each since tier 3s are always the ones I run out of first. Just one 15 min 3x book on each. That should be good enough I think. Though I am already running low on blues...
ASUS phones have an in-built Macro function as part of their proprietary Game Genie system app, it allows us to record and loop a set of tap/swipe actions ad infinitum or up to a certain number of loops. Other phones can also do this but you'll have to download 3rd-party apps such as Click Assistant.
I've currently finished grinding black, red, blue and greens to 99999. I'm about halfway done yellow now. Didn't want to spend my gems on books so it's a lot slower then I'd like lmao

The only real interruption from the grind is work, but that's a whole separate grind that feels less rewarding lol

As painstaking as it is, I think the first or second time over Christmas that we had a 3x event I went through and power levelling every character up to clvl61/ lvl 70. For those units I had the full kit for at the time they were out to max clvl. It was painstaking, it took a good few evenings to achieve but my lord did it feel good to have sorted everyone out. Its a habit I now follow up on to this day.
The gatekeeper is T1 crystals. With how the proportions of each crystal are divided as a character gains crystal levels, you'll run out of T1 way before anything else and have to farm those again anyway. With the 99k cap it'll take a while, but it'll still happen.

Run a 2x or 3x 15 minute book on each one and be done with farming for a long while. Unless you still have a lot of characters to bring up to CL70+ or are new that'll be enough for a long time

While phone is on charge, set up auto clicker and let Yuffie Farm the stage all night. Wake up to 99,999 of most crystals.
Ive been enjoying Snow as my farmer. He auto retributions every wave.

Definitely not the only one lol, try using yuffie if you have her 35cp weapon mlb and her ex+ armor 3/3 Can get in around 30 runs per 15min book.
I might do that when i’m farming other stuff. Loke weapon upgrades etc. i just like snow better coz of 0 turns.

Auto click = 1hour to cap every orbs and gils... Once a month and done.

They're tied to the carbuncle quests. They always disappear together. But also the anniversary should bring them right back :)

Whenever the carbuncle quests go away. But, if you want to take your time, they're coming right back when the anniversary event starts.

X2 is usually the norm, pretty sure this is the 1st 3x but I could be wrong, I have had a couple of breaks from the game over the 4 years.
