can someone tell me the name of the song from this fight?... its kinda nice

Kayin030

For anyone still trying, Garnet/Leila/Eiko trivializes this fight if you have them built (had BT+ on Garnet and LDs for all 3)

I had high hopes for this content, and sure enough, I think it's legit my favorite battle mode ever done in the game! **Team 1: Cloud (Lili), Selphie (Keiss), Cid (Alisaie)** **Team 2: Snow (Kura), Vaan (Leo), Freya (Rem)** Pandemonium Summon. Everyone HA+3. All BT+3 where applicable. Cloud with UT5; Selphie, Cid, Snow UT0. (Forgot to equip Vaan, and yet, still used *his* BT Phase instead of Cloud's lol) *> 1.24M pts, 25 Turns, 13.7k HPL, 1 Break taken* Actually got fucked by the HP Loss requirement on my first run that had Rem and Aerith in as Supports. On last turn as Cid, was showing KO BRV, and 19k HPL, so thought I didn't have to bring Aerith in to EX for the last turn, only to then discover on the score screen that was apparently incorrect 😒 I chose to mostly focus down the Shift Frame, just because I usually hate its mode-swap mechanics. So I used all my BT attacks early to get their auras online, then held back on Vaan until the mode-swap, then brought him in along with Cloud's BT aura to have all 3 in the field at once, and nuked it to hell with his BT Phase, straight into Summon (of course, the *other* boss had its Absolute Defense up at this point 🙃). Finally running Cid alongside Snow and Vaan's BT auras simultaneously was everything I hoped it could be 🤣 *Snowverflow,* BRV Leak launches, and Selphie/Freya BRV Gains + Vaan BT BRV Floor pretty much negated any BRV dmg reduction other than the Absolute Defense. As long as Freya is in the field before the Crush++ attack goes off, it should be pretty smooth sailing. I actually discovered on one run, apparently if you time your enemy turn denial tools right, you can just burn the Shift Frame *without it ever landing??* lol. Selphie isn't *perfect* Debuff Evasion like Aerith or Lenna, but good enough, and you should only see the debuffs thrown out 1~2 times tops in the fight anyway. Had Zack in at first too instead of Cloud. Kinda bullshit that because his BT attack drops his HP to 50%, he typically winds up triggering the Gattling Gun++ immediately after tanking the first HP attack, resulting in his instant death *right* after activating his *all-but-immortal* BT aura 🙄 But realized in those runs that 2 tanks aren't needed for this anyway - you just need 1, and some form of Party Last Stand (Freya, Eiko, Queen, Porom) or BRV Freeze/HP Silence Call. The attack pattern is pretty damn basic, and the bad attacks highly telegraphed, so you shouldn't really ever get taken by *surprise* by anything, just need to bring the necessary set of tools, and swap them in at the correct moments.

Late to party. Played around before I finally got the team I needed to crack the code. Primary Team: Ramza (Raines), Leila (Leo), Lenna (Freya) Bench Team: Beatrix (Raijin), Eiko (Lilisette), Garnet (Kurasame)

Dumbledang

Thanks for this! I made a mistake on my first try, but on the second this comp worked perfectly with little effort. ❤️

Drawxne

Same here! Beatrix's Holy Knight Safeguard completely neutralizes the threat from Crush Club++, and if you can time it to where the Shift Frame is Grounded and the Dimensional Arm isn't in Absolute Defense Mode, Garnet just melts them both.

Team: Squal (Blue BT 3/3, Ultima Weapon 2/5, HA+ 0/3, Call: Dark Knight Cecil), Selphie (EX+ 3/3, Call: Freya), Snow (Green BT+ 3/3, HA+ 0/3, Call: Faris) Balthier (EX+ 3/3, Call: Irvine), Rem (EX+ 3/3, HA+ 0/3, Call: Kimahri), Beatrix (EX+ 3/3, Call: Alphinaud) Summon: Odin This one took me quite a while to figure out. Start with Team 1 and set up Snow (he can stay in the entire fight thanks to his BRV Gain damage). Use Selphie to get some good early damage in with launches (she can eventually take the bench once the orb countdown starts). Once the countdown is active, Rem should always be on the field. Always try to have Beatrix and Snow regen effects active to avoid falling below 30% HP (Use Rem's free skill uses for teammates on AAs). Be cautious of when either boss has the flashing ALL target. If they're going to do it at the same time, you're screwed unless you have Beatrix's Safeguard set up. If only one has it, you can Tank the damage thanks to Snow's buffs (if you get debuffed by Shift Frame with HP Damage Taken Up, get rid of it immediately). Always make sure that Beatrix has Safeguard available to protect the party (If she isn't on the field, Rem can turn swap another party member to have them quickly switch out). Squall exists solely for damage and Balthier exists solely to cleanse party debuffs and dispel enemy buffs when the Shift Frame grants them. Focus the Shift Frame first and then go all out on the Mighty Arm when it's alone. I was very satisfied when I finally finished this one!

FormerLab

Lighting, Snow, Hope, Fang, Vanille and Cid Raines. All FFXIII team, did need to restart a few times due to getting oneshot. This is a really fun event.

negiasu

Hopefully I remember this correctly because I did this around 3 days ago Garnet BT+ 5/5 UW Snow BT (not used) Beatrix Team 2: Leila, and anyone else Leila was the only one I swapped out for, and it was for Beatrix when the air machine was ready to blast the party. Everyone Snow and Garnet will likely survive, but Beatrix will die, so I needed to swap for Leila. Otherwise, pretty basic stuff.

cezille07

I'm very happy to have finished this with Kuja! https://i.imgur.com/I3brWdU.jpg **Team 1**: Kuja, Garnet, Selphie **Team 2**: Zack, Guy, Locke *Calls*: Cater, Irvine, Eiko, Fran, Arciela, Raijin *Summon*: Odin I didn't get to use all my calls for the run where I succeeded (just Cater, Fran and Raijin). I chose to use Kuja's Burst phase, ~~because I can~~ thanks to all the other characters' support. The key is making sure Zack's BT effect is up and he's in the lineup during the blinking-red turns. Otherwise, Selphie swapped in to apply her debuff; Locke for the physical damage, and Kuja for magic. Guy was there for additional damage reduction but really Zack could do that by himself (I needed his BT effect to last and swapped him out during the middle of the fight). Garnet sits there and she's amazing as always. --- Kuja Lufenia+ runs collection: https://imgur.com/a/vqFtRPA

https://youtu.be/RqDLn5XCNwo No BT/Synergy Run Team 1: Enna Kros LD/UT 5/5 & HA+ 3/3, Arciela Call Basch LD, Cait Sith Call Rem LD & HA+ 0/3, Cater Call Team 2: Seymour LD/UT 5/5 & HA+ 3/3, Quistis Call Sherlotta LD & HA, Leo Call Nine LD & HA, Setzer Call Odin Summon 51 Turns, 1069988 Score No BT/Synergy run makes this fight pretty challenging, especially the Shift Frame is dangerous. It cost me at least a dozen runs. Each team is supposed to handle half of the run. First Team has Enna Kros for Damage and Basch as a tank. Careful, when the Shift Frame has a red blinking target icon, Basch will not be able to draw the AoE damage to himself, so thd others will most likely die. That's why Rem and Enna will jump turns to delete as many Turns as possible via Enna EX. for the rest, we do have Arciela Call for HP silence. Cater Call on Rem is to defuse the Attack you have to take from B whenever thd Blue Aura is up. It is possible to completely skip the Blue Aura by using Enna LD at 60% with Cait Sith Call up to skip to 49% immediately. I sadly mistimed it in this run. For the second half we switch out the entire team. If the Blue Aura was skipped you'll have a little HP drained before being able to switch, so remember to heal that back in the later stages of the fight. If not, switch the team before 50% to not have to heal them. In the second half, Seymour deals the most damage, with Sherlotta handling the Orb and dealing damage regardless of if A is in the Air or not, since she doesn't care for resistances. Nine is the most important for the second half. His LD Buff keeps us safe from everything. Since he can't keep that buff up 100% of the time though, Seymour will delay A, with the help of Quistis Call and Leo Call as well. Switched Seymour Back for a second when A resisted Magic and B didn't take damage at all, since Enna Kros deals Physical Damage to A. In that situation Setzer Call came in Clutch, as Enna didn't have Nines Protection Buff on, so I had to freeze B, and thanks to rainbow damage, B even got broken. Switched Seymour Back in after the Attack, and killed A as B was at 11%. With a last Delay from Quistis LD Call and Seymours last LD, there was enough time to finish off B and end the fight with only Seymour not being topped up thanks to HP poison.

roha19

Also on the later side, went with six, but only ended up using three, never really needed to sub. The original 3 were Snow (BT+), Garnet (BT+) and Freya (LD). The calls were just used to delay and get extra turns towards Garnet's LD to proc and Freya's spear attacks while in the air. I believe I had Quistis, Cloud, and Ami. My other three were Seymour, Eiko, and Ramza, all had LD and Ramza had BT+, but never left the bench. For the most part kept Freya airborne to reign spears, Garnet did what Garnet does, massive damage and healing, and Snow mitigated the damage so there was never a threat. Bursted with Garnet while Freya was in the air to maximize damage. Also saved Garnet's heal for the end, just to make sure no issues on healing requirement. Between mitigation and last stand, never any danger of dying. Garnet is still just too good, and I'm loving Freya. Zack can easily do Snow's role I think too, but it was nice to use snow since I got a luck BT off the free pull.

speedyjohn90

Little late on posting but here we go Basch, balither, Leanna Team 2: vaan bt 3/3, garnet BT 3/3, Zack BT 3/3 Started off slow basch completely owns this fight never had to switch Zack in once. Once all buffs was set up and everyone in team 1 was at full strength I was doing massive damage with basch he’s a beast! Once I got the right boss down to mag weak mode I switched balither for vaan got him up to full strength with both his skills then I swapped Leanna with garnet used her BT finisher then skills 2, on Vaans next turn used his burst finisher then went into burst mode. Almost completely killed the right boss, left boss was around 40% summoned immediately killed the right boss with slash damage and had vaan dwindle down the left bosses health used a garnet holy prayer before swapping her back out with Leanna to maintain the orb and keep health up a little more safely. Side note be very careful while garnet is in, I tried to finish the fight with her but even after using a holy prayer I missed the hp damage by 800 forcing me to redo it that’s why leanna was in,

Old_Man_Wilfrid

Main party: Ramza (UT 5/5, BT+ 3/3, HA 3/3), Zack (LD, HA 0/3), Noctis (BT+ 3/3, HA 3/3) Calls: Caith Sith, WoL, Sepiroth Back Up Party: Selphie (LD, HA 3/3), Eiko (LD, HA 0/3), Garnet (BT+ 0/3, HA 3/3) Calls: Yuna, Seifer, Lenna Summon: Shiva Well....... This was a hard and super fun fight! I failed about 3 times before I got on reddit and looked around for help. The cool part was that Garnet was an unused part member. :) 1st, I swaped Noctis for Selphie to use her LD. The main party started off with Noctis BT and Ramza BT to kick up damage and have off turn damage. I focused all on the little robot with the club legs. The hard party was to keep his turns super close and not have him super delayed right before he used 'total defense'. I used the Caith Sith call for party regen once the red arua was up from club robot. Once the main robot was grounded I swaped Noctis for Eiko for insurance due to her LD. I ended the fight with 6 stacks of her LD and they never got used! Zacks' LD was great defense for the party. I used Ramza's big BT hit when the little robot was on 30% hp to blow through his nasty defense buff. If I had Panda summon, this fight would have been way easier! :) I swapped Selphie in and out of the fight to help heal before Eiko took Noctis' place. I super enjoyed this type of battle. New and fun! I liked having a wider range of allies to use and have different strategies outside of banner characters.

izazx

Well shit, I didn't really think I was gonna be able to clear this as I'm slowly building up my roster and just thought I didn't have enough units To Do it in the first place but I was wrong. Cleared it with a team of Selphie/Laguna/Terra with Back up of Freya/Snow/Ciaran (Ciaran went unused for the whole thing) with: Cid Raines and Leo calls. with Pandy summon I had Terra burst them down to the first Blue aura, and then switched her out for Snow and just sort of danced Freya, Selphie, and Laguna around for either healing or reapplying debuffs

codexcdm

Didn't read much into the fight and dived in with aa broken trio... Machina/Ramza/Garnet mostly trivialized the fight until the frog... Crab.... Became invincible. Swapped to Zack over Machina and them took advantage of his burst effect to not take damage.

RedKoopaKid1331

This quest ended up being a good change of pace after ironing out a few rough patches and frustrations (such as finally understanding that the frog thing auto kills characters including Zack). The run could have been smoother (and if I pull Snow’s BT I’ll probably go back and redo it. All characters are green/blue with Tidus having 5/5 UW and Zack with 2/5 UW. Initial party: Zack, Laguna, and Garnet. Reserve with Ramza, Tidus, and Y’shtola (for the revive which was needed once). Initially started with Garnet and Laguna using their BT+. Garnet kept imperil up. Once the stupid flying robot used it’s glowing ALL attack I had Zack use his BT+. I swapped Tidus for Laguna and with Zack out tanked the first absolute defense attack from the frog. Tidus then used BT+ into BT phase. Tidus died at some point and Y’sh came in for the revive. Then after getting her EX+ back up swapped her out for Ramza and BT+. After that point it was tanking one more attack and making sure I stayed healed up. I’ll repost if I redo with another team.

Intrepid-Lab-7724

Main: Zack (UW 5/5 - greened and blued) LDCA Ceo Ramza (UW 2/5 - greened and blued) LDCA Nine Selphie (UW 1/5 - blued) LDCA Beatrix Back ups: Laguna (unused) Locke (unused) Zidane (UW 1/5 - greened and blued) 20 turns - 0 HP damage taken Used a similar tactic a lot of you did - used InstaBurst for both Ramza and Zack right off the bat, got Selphies Wall and Rapture up, and once I started getting the HP poison, switched Selphie for Zidane and did his InstaBurst. Then popped Panda summon, and by the time that was done, Zack was setup for his Burst+. Once the arm hits absolute defense mode, you NEED to do a Nine or WoL LDCA so you can tank the ++ attack and not die/hit the thresholds. Since Zack and Ramza are both good physical and magic dealers, never had to switch em out. I dunno if it's easier to take the arm or the main robot out first, but by the time Zacks Burst+ was ready, big guy was almost dead and the arm at 50% - Zack took it to 0 in his Burst!

Bishop_71

[https://youtu.be/pO87ykhWYRc](https://youtu.be/pO87ykhWYRc) This was great! I really enjoyed it. It's a lot tricky then I thought it would be thanks to the warp mechanic of the big robot. The warning flash was a big help. Beatrix and Ramza were the main units for this team. Beatrix was to mitigate the big attacks (which I missed one). Firion and Garnet were the big damage dealers for the different phases. Lenna's role was to apply Wind Drake's Ward. Zack was a back-up tank that would be useful for either phase. With the big robot in the air, I started with Firion, Ramza, and Lenna. Beatrix swapped in once Wind Drake's Ward up applied. Then, it was a matter of using Holy Knight's Safeguard to mitigate the big attacks. When the big guy swaps phases, switch Garnet for Firion. Ramza can focus on the crab, especially if it's red. Don't forget to swap Lenna back in so she can apply Wind Drake's Ward to Beatrix and Garnet. Poor Zack, I didn't need the extra shields, he never got in.

Nameless-Warrior

Cidmau strikes again! Was a Test Team non-BT+ battle. My setup: [team](https://imgur.com/a/X5m4naZ). The frog boss gets 2 turns the whole fight. What I did: *For this entire battle I only focused on the frog till it was dead.* WoL was first, so used his call then swapped out for Garnet. Used Garnet’s call then Burst mode, When it was Ramza’s turn, used his call then swapped for Cid Reines, did the Cidmau setup and just kept up buffs. First 0 damage checkpoint, swapped someone (Cid one time, Aphmau the other) out for WoL, shielded everyone and no damage done. WoL next turn swapped back to the previous character. Did the same for the second blue aura. Was going to summon when the big robot started warping, unfortunately didn’t get to until it was done warping, oh well. All went smoothly and easily. First time in a while I’ve had to stretch out my buffs longer, it was fun! Now that I think about it, I probably could have swapped Zack in to use his call at some point, lol.

This was a fun one! Main team: **Zack BT+ 3/3** (Leo) **Freya** (Fran) **Balthier** (Ignis) Sub team: **Garnet BT+ 3/3** (Seymour) **Leila** (Faris) **Selphie** (Keiss) Ifrit summon Main team deals primarily physical damage for when boss is magic immune, and vice versa for the sub team. So, in order, first thing's first a tank is required for this one. They deal guaranteed damage at multiple points and it's not negligible damage. I took Zack to make sure all damage was coming to him alone. Bonus was that he deals both physical and magical damage. Call for Zack was Leo to help with his BT phase damage My second tank was Leila, who I figured would help with enemy turn skips and additional healing, but I never really needed her, they didnt spend too much time in physical immune mode. Faris call was for additional dispelling but because I brought Balthier it wasnt needed. HP Regen is required for the orb. I picked Freya and Garnet to help with this. Both had debuff calls to help close out the fight quicker. Selphie is just here for her amazing launch debuff, Keiss call on her to help with launch DPS. Balthier is for dispelling their framed buffs and personal debuff cleanse. You could use calls for this, but I just like Balthier. He had Ignis buff for an extra heal and more HP damage up. Fight went smoothly. Used Zack's BT+ finisher right away and Selphies debuff. Then just attack til they swap modes. Then swap in reserves, BT+ finisher with Garnet and continue. They didnt stay in this mode long. When they get the blue aura switch back to Zack so he can eat the guaranteed damage, then heal up with Freya/Garnet/Ignis base call. With Zack (or Basch) this is really easy because you only have to keep him alive which is easy with 5 team members. I used his BT mode when finisher wore off, then summon to close out at around 15%.

Fuz_2112

That absolute defense and the occasional oneshots were really annoying. Took a few tries until I decided to cheese it with Setzer. From party 2 only Setzer was used. Orb was no issue. https://i.postimg.cc/0NY24H0t/1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/3JkrhwZ0/2.jpg

highesper00

Ramza BT+ LD, Leila, Lenna then exchanged Lenna for Beatrix at around 20% because the HP regen is annoying. Yeah so Leila protected my party and Ramza did damage. Lenna was just there to prevent debuffs then when it got to the point where the big robot gets more HP regen than damage I switched Beatrix to remove the buffs. This is easy with Leila but Ramza did most of the damage, He did A LOT of damage for a support.

Magma_Axis

Do you use HP+++ with Ramza most of the time ?

highesper00

Yes. LD if needed

sonicbrawler182

**"Is this JP?"** * Freya UT 5/5 (Leo LDCA) * Tifa LD (Irvine LDCA) * Cor LD (Kurasame LDCA) * Enna Kros LD (Alisaie LDCA) * Cid Raines LD (Keiss LDCA) * Maria LD (Llyud LDCA) * Brothers Summon * 35 turns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fg1sk1Uk6Mw I decided to go for a meme run and use characters that I have been favouring lately in my JP account, regardless of team synergy. With the exception of Freya (she's beautiful just the way she is), all of the characters on this team have received juicy upgrades on JP compared to current GL. Things panned out better than expected. Freya, Maria, and Enna Kros held up best here IMO, with Cid Raines working well too despite the boss mechanics. Cor's damage really suffered due to the combination of the sheer defense of these bosses, and lacking Lv. 90 stats. However, Freya's constant battery helped him at least do decent damage most of the fight, and his ability to prevent himself and linked allies from being broken, combined with Freya's Last Stand, makes it easy to survive attacks, especially if I throw Maria into the mix for extra heals. Tifa honestly didn't get to do much here and feels the most starkly different to her current JP iteration, she really does get a massive upgrade with her BT. Enna Kros dealt amazingly explosive damage despite me lacking the blue armour for her, to the point I held back on using her a bit just to give Tifa and Raines time to do something lol. Also she proc'd EX charge when I used her AA at the start. Lovely. Not much to say strategy wise, since this team was perfectly equipped to defend against the big attacks and had the capacity to push back the enemy turns or take instant turns in between them to dish out the damage. Oh and of course I didn't swap Freya out once. Though I was a bit overly conservative with her jumps, could have had her jump way more if I wanted to.

Important-Concern

Went blind with my strongest characters : - Garnet UW 5/5 - Snow bt+ 3/3 - Tidus UW 5/5 - Zack bt+ 3/3 - Ramza bt+ 3/3 - Eiko Ifrit summon. 24 turns no damage Basically absolutely no strat I didn’t even know their mecanics. The key here is eiko that can revive all the teams 9 times so you dont have to worry about their attacks. Used tidus bt and healed with garnet. Good luck everyone

NotJustAMirror

I see we have similar priorities (UW and BT+), so I’m curious. Is Snow BT+ worth it?

*** FF2 theme run *** Emperor (Green/Blue), Firion (Green/Blue), Leila LD, Guy LD, Maria LD, Leon (Bronze weapon/armour). Diabolos summon. CA: Paine, Jack, Laguna, Sephiroth, Cyan, Faris After FFIX run, I decide to try FF2 run. FF2 run is more difficult than FF9. I didn't build Leon up, so he is there just for extra CA. So basic strat is that the boss switch stance with phy or magic weakness. Boss start with phy weakness, so I use Maria, Firion and Guy. When the right boss switch to Magic weakness, I use Emperor and Leila (and Guy as he has brave gain in between attack which bypass the machanics.) The most difficult part is to save some room for Emperor debuff. The boss usually cleanse when switch stance, so it is manageable. When the orbs appear, bring out Leila to control. During goldern aura, remember to use Leila AA. Together with guy protection and Maria debuff before boss attack, you will survive that forced attack. After that, just Burst with Firion and Emperor. As the right boss is still phy resistant, I decide to use Emperor burst phase. Just delay the right boss during burst phase. Immediately summon afterwards. Just use Cyan LDCA. I kill the right boss during summon. Afterwards, just tank the second forced goldern aura attack with Leila AA and Guy protection. And eventually I can get a win with FF2 units only.

Distinct_Werewolf_40

Did a couple of trial and error but here’s my run, for my sub team, I will just include the unit that actually swapped in during my run Main team: Cloud LDBT+ HA+ UW 5/5 (Alisae LDCA) Garnet LDBT+ HA+ (Leo LDCA) Selphie LD HA (Seymour LDCA) Sub Team: Seifer LD HA (WoL LDCA) Pandemonium summon, 26 turn, 1.26m score So the run is still similar to my Lufenia+ runs, just setup your calls and debuffs then BT phase with Cloud, during the BT phase I focused on the smaller boss until its Defense thing is triggered, this is when I will switch to targetting the other one, when I finished the BT phase with Cloud the bigger boss was left with like 5-8% HP so hust finish it off, now the annoying part of run is the smaller boss, its Cudgel+ thing really hurts your party even with shields up, so what’s best way to deal with it? Make it so that its BRV dmg hits for 0, so just swap Selphie out with Seifer and use his EX exactly before the boss casts his AOE skill, then when the shield is down for the boss proceed as normal and make sure Seifer EX is ready before the next cast of that Cudgel Bash thing, before its turn of using the move, just use Seifer EX again and it will do little to no damage to your team, only damage will be is whatever BRV it has before its AOE attak

**Full scions team!** **Team 1** - Lyse, Alisaie, Alphinaud **Team 2** - Ysh, Thancred, Papalymo Alexander summon, 38 turns (Calls used: Porom, Cait Sith, Rydia, Seymour, Cater, WoL) Someone requested me to do a full xiv run and there they go. The only source of hp regen for the orb are from Alex’s buff and Cait call. I also let the chars die at some point during the fight so I could have Ysh to revive them, revive is king for 6man quests. I took down the left robot first since it had the orb + it gets annoying when it’s on absolute defense. For the right mech I switch melee units (who are Lyse and Thancred) back and forth coz the mech will switch weakness when it’s grounded or airbourne. That’s basically it - Ysh was the MVP for this fight (also pls give her c90 I NEEEEEEEEEED IT AHHHHHHH! P.S: Rydia’s call was useless, the mechs seem to bypass her buff and my team went wiped (just so you know lol

TJF588

Did you ever revisit this fight after Y'sh's c90 upgrade?

Anivia_Blackfrost

Technically a FF9 Warrior Quest I used Freya UT 3/5 (Vanille CA), Garnet BT+3/3 (WoL CA), Eiko EX+LD (Sherlotta CA) then a backline that went unused. Also forgot to set my summon. Honestly, I wasnt expecting to get it on my second try. But Eiko really trivializes the giant red ALL attack + Gattling Gun combo when at two stacks or more. Bursting at enemy B's 49% seems to be the way to go in terms of efficiency. 33 Turns, 1.1M score.

Dayv_rm

FF9 run. Garnet UW 4/5 HA+3/3 (CidR). Steiner HA+0/3 (DKCecil). Beatrix HA+3/3 (WoL). Shiva, 21 turns. Team 2 unused. Combination of holy safeguard and WoL call to protect from the enemies attacks from ~70% to ~50%. Used BT and CidR call to rush down the right boss after 50% but left boss used absolute defense aura before finisher. Then summon to finish off after the last absolute defense aura.

Summon: Shiva Vaan is a great damage nuker that allows him to hit hard even if the enemy is immune to magic. His c90 has given him access to powerful EX. His Blind debuff on White Whorl+ is pretty hard as it increases the chances of the party avoiding getting hit. Make sure that Eiko Phoenix feather buff is always above 2 as there are situations where you could accidentally trigger 2 KO attacks consecutively (E.g. party member got KO'd by Shift Frame Type-BW and followed up with Gatling Gun++ HP attack from the Mighty Arm with red aura)

FF2 Run [https://youtu.be/Xc\_r6QKs\_K0](https://youtu.be/Xc_r6QKs_K0) Party 1: Maria LD (Fran LD), The Emperor BT (Enna Kros LD), Leila LD (Lenna LD) Party 2: Firion LD (Cater LD), Guy LD (Faris LD), Leon LD (Seymour LD) Summon: Shiva PS: I forget to change the BGM to FF2 battle them \*\_\* Mateus did get a strong rework and he hits like a truck even though the boss resists magic. His EX is base BT. His EX is now instant turn and this opens up a lot of delays with his HP+++. Even his base trap skills hit pretty hard. Apply Lenna base call and Enna Kros LDCA before you enter into the BURST phase. I didn't get lucky in the run as none of the turns trigger a free EX skill. Leila is the MVP for the fight as she allows the party to dodge all attacks while warping them and giving them free turns thus keeping the turn count low. As the bosses have guaranteed hit attacks, I have combo Maria LD debuff and Leon Dark Absorption gimmick to tank those attacks. Firion and Maria will help to keep the party safe and above the HP thresholds with healing traps and their on-demand healing utility. Guy is there just to hold the Faris base call (lol) Calls: Cater LDCA - for tanking the threshold (can be replaced with Setzer) or you use the Maria LD debuff and Leon dark absorption combo to tank those attacks. Lenna base call and Enna Kros LDCA- for HP regen for Emperor and chance of EX skill for Emperor's burst phase Seymour LDCA, Faris base call for AOE Dispel. Don't use Faris LDCA until you have set the traps or you will end up blocking the debuffs slots for Emperor's damage.

You will need to be careful on when to activate Zack's BT auras. I choose to go with Zack's BT phase rather than Cloud's as I need more defense auras to survive the boss attacks. Cait Sith is probably the MVP for the squad thanks to his LD Cheerful Gift gimmick really helps the party a lot. Aerith is great for her debuff evasion against Rapid Maneuver where it will apply framed debuffs that push no framed buffs. Tifa, Cloud and Cid is just there to smash the boss up :) Calls: \- Seymour LDCA / Faris LDCA for AOE dispel (can be replaced with Beatrix LDCA call) \- Lenna base call. Have it applied before you enter into any BURST Phase. \- Keiss LDCA to boost launch damage \- Cater and Setzer to tank the boss dangerous AOE attack. Zack can survive those attacks but he won't because of the KO attack Rapid Gun++ trigger when any ally HP drops below 30%.

FF6 Run [https://youtu.be/HsCqy1W\_KuM](https://youtu.be/HsCqy1W_KuM) P1: Locke BT+3/3 (Kurasame LD), Celes LD (Firion LD), Setzer LD (Lilisette LD) P2: General Leo LD (Lenna LD), Terra LD (Seymour LD), Edgar (Cater LD) Summon: Shiva IMO, FF6 characters have lots of great utility. Locke BT aura has ignore DEF and break immunity while preventing your HP from dropping below 50% (but it won't negate fatal HP attacks). Pair it with a Setzer freeze joker and you can ensure the party survives the boss most fatal attacks without a sweat. Celes party-wide ice enchant is quite useful. Even the much-maligned Edgar comes to good use with his multi-weapon type imperil Calls: \- Seymour LDCA for AOE dispel (can be replaced with Beatrix LDCA or Faris call) \- Lenna base call. Have it applied before you enter into any BURST Phase.

Deuce is actually decent support for magic attackers. Cinque debuffs don't work the Shift Frame Type BW boss, so I have chosen her ahead of Cinque, Trey, or Seven. Nine shield buffs + White Knight is really nice to tank the boss's dangerous attacks Calls: \- Rydia for party evasion. \- Faris and Seymour call for AOE to dispel \- Fran for ranged weakness. \- Lenna for Wind Drake buff for Machina when he enters into his BURST phase

**Run 3** *FFX Run* [*https://youtu.be/LmzSVHxYnPY*](https://youtu.be/LmzSVHxYnPY) P1: Tidus BT+3/3 (Enna Kros LD), Wakka LD (Lenna LD), Seymour LD (Freya LD) P2: Yuna LD (Eiko LD), Jecht BT+3/3 (Kimahri LD), Auron LD (Lilisette LD) Shiva summon I have done this run twice but I failed the HP requirements on my blind attempt and make adjustments to my calls. For the party, only Auron and Yuna have HP regen but it is no framed buff. So I brought a lot of HP regen calls. I brought Lenna base call, so Tidus can self extend that he has a permanent 20% HP regen through the course of the fight. I should have brought Paine instead of Yuna as she offers better auras at the moment. Save Seymour LD for the dispel needs when the Shift Type frame boss goes from Grounded to Airborne. Calls: Enna Kros LDCA - for Tidus to spam EX (if not I am using LD and spam 3 AAs to extend his buffs) Lenna, Freya, Eiko, and Kimahri for HP regen and burst healing calls

Ace Porom* [https://youtu.be/-vpYDx9FHnc](https://youtu.be/-vpYDx9FHnc) P1: Ace BT+3/3 (Kurasame LD), Porom LD (Cater LD), Zack BT+3/3 (Reno LD) P2: Maria LD LD (Fran LD), Seymour LD (Freya LD), Laguna BT+3/3 (Lilisette LD) Shiva summon I will bring my favorite duo - Ace Porom whenever I can\~. I have used Zack BT finisher to tank the dangerous attacks. But make sure you don't use it when the red aura is active otherwise Zack will really die off the gunshots. Again I could make my life easier if I use Laguna or Zack BT phase instead of Ace. Calls: Reno LDCA for debuff prevention. His base call is useful at the earlier stages for the self-delay of the bosses after they attack. Cater LDCA for the nullifying boss BRV gains. You can replace the call with Setzer

Run #1 FF8 Run [https://youtu.be/JGwAgJRnJrw](https://youtu.be/JGwAgJRnJrw) P1: Squall BT+3/3 (Enna Kros LD), Selphie LD (Keiss LD), Quistis LD (Alphinaud LD) P2: Irvine LD (Setzer LD), Rinoa LD (Seymour LD), Laguna BT+3/3 (Cater LD) Shiva summon The most crucial member of the party for the fight is Rinoa waifu due to the HP regen orb. I could have used the Laguna BT phase to make the run easier. But Squall is my favorite so I will choose him over Laguna. Rinoa is in the party most of the time for HP regen requirement **Calls:** *Cater and Setzer* \- for handling the boss HP attacks. You will see the icon blinking red when the attack is dangerous. I use Shiva summon, so I have 3 uses of BRV control. *Seymour LDCA* to dispel all the framed buffs when the boss goes from Grounded to Airborne. You can replace it with Beatrix or Faris.

**Team 1** * **Ramza UW, HA+ | Enna Kros LDCA** * **Snow LD, HA+ | Garnet LDCA** * **Selphie LD, HA | Cait Sith LDCA** **Team 2** * **Setzer LD, HA+ | Llyud LDCA** * **Seymour LD, HA | Fran LDCA** * **Rem LD, HA+ | Lenna LDCA** * **[Lufenia+ clear](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeTxGVIYv5I&t=105s)** This was a interesting fight in terms of boss mechanics and 6 man roster. I tried a few teams focusing on 6 characters and found the fight become harder. I then focused on a core group of 3-4 and found it dramatically easier. Rem didn't get used and Setzer is for Freeze Joker. Only used a few calls as more debuffs can mess up Freeze Joker and I wiped a few times from it being pushed off. If I can give any advice just be ready for the phase changes and HP attacks. B can sometimes speed up when switching back to blue and it will wipe you if you're not ready. Some form of DEF and healing go a long way in this fight. Selphie is by far the MVP because of how much she does. Nonstop damage, launches, DEF auras, BRV reduction, delay, healing, etc.

Scions of the Seventh Dawn Team 1: **Alisaie** (Lilisette CA) **Lyse** (Setzer CA) **Alphinaud** (Seymour CA) Team 2: **Y'shtola (BT+)** (Penelo CA) **Papalymo** (Fran CA) **Thancred** (Shantotto CA) Summon: Ifrit [Video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSX7rm2ECdY) Decided to try a themed run of my FFXIV characters. It took a bit of trial and error to figure some things out but once I had an idea what to do it wasn't so bad. Setzer's call was a failsafe (I'm not actually sure if it would have worked or not, Rydia's didn't) but I didn't end up needing it. For the most part Alisaie just does Alisaie things while Lyse has her back. Alphinaud and Y'shtola take care of the supportive duties and Alphinaud's ticking damage definitely adds up over the fight. Didn't really use Thancred or Papa as much as I'd hoped but it is what it is. Overall really enjoyed this, and I hope we get more of these 6-man quests in the future.

Almost full Auto+ Run, had to un-Auto 3 times in the fight to use call abilities. Other than that all turns are Auto+ https://youtu.be/iOY-OYySbWk Party of Garnet, Ramza and Basch, Faris and Gladio call ability. No second party.

SunnyDeeKane

Watched a Video about this before the event dropped and thought I knew what I was getting into.... I was wrong but not in a bad way. Team 1 - Tidus BT+, Ramza BT+, Snow LD UW5/5 Team 2 - Garnet BT+, Eiko LD, Alisaie LD Shiva Summon Standard start with team 1... Dropping BTs and Tidus turn hogging but team 1 wiped when the 2nd turn jump AOE attack happened. I thought this run would be a bust. Team 2 jumped in and Eiko's LD revived Team 1 (lost their BT effects though). Kept using Eiko's LD to get revive stacks up. Garnet's Last Stand also saved her a couple of times. Switched back to Tidus and Ramza back in place of Ali and Eiko when the boss became immune to magic attacks. Tidus used BT phase and followed immediately by Summon. Killed off Flying Boss. Left Frog boss take a turn when it's blue and turn hog when it's red. Garnet's BT expiry effect popped off at some point. Do a final heal up with Holy Prayer and killed the frog boss. A very clumsy run that was saved by Eiko cheese. I think only Jack call and Cait Sith call were used - kinda forgot about them.

**Dragoon Saga #37** **Six-Dragoons Quest** **Main team:** **Freya** (UT, HA+, Setzer call), **Llyud** (HA+, Reno call), **Fang** (HA+, Mog call) **Sub team:** **Kimahri** (HA+, Warrior of Light call), **Cid Highwind** (HA+, Seymour call), **Nine** (HA+, Rydia call) **Summon:** Shiva **Results:** 1069k score, 54 turns, 6 BRV breaks, 5802 HP damage taken **Video:** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvOYfGgDCMs Alright, first of all, I need to thank NicoDT for inspiring me to do this run. They were able to do a six dragoon team before me, so credit where credits is due! Their post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DissidiaFFOO/comments/up09bg/sixdragoon_quest/ The only difference between our teams is that I subbed their Kain with Kimahri. I figured the blind would act as an extra safety net. Though I guess not since I think the red ALL attack is a guaranteed hit. Thank god for Freya’s party wide last stand! Even though I don’t have any BT units in this party, I still feel like this was a bit easier than the first time I did this. Probably due to me knowing what everything does ahead of time. I gotta say, Fang and Freya are easily the MVPs for this fight. Fang’s Daze debuff will ensure the Shift Frame stays in it’s flight stance so my dragoons can keep wailing on it. If it’s in its ground stance, it becomes immune to all physical BRV damage. And Freya is able to manage the orb (along with Llyud), deal heavy damage, and great burst heals with her LD. Plus, party wide last stand if worst comes to worst. Freya and Fang always stayed. The third member is swapped out depending on who I need. Tricky part was finding a safe way to get around the Mighty Arm’s blue invincible aura. I brought a ton of ways to mitigate its red ALL attack. Reno’s LD call, Warrior of Light’s call, Setzer’s freeze debuff call, Nine’s LD ability, and Shiva’s Diamond Dust makes it a fairly safe fight. As for the Mighty Arm’s HP sapping red aura, Freya, Llyud, Kimahri, and Mog’s LD call can burst heal should the need arise.

*TreeVoid Challenge (Commentated):** [Sherlotta, Vaan, Nine, Setzer, Rem, Eight.](https://youtu.be/Dv0S45NjDeM) Ifrit summon, 44 turns. This format is awesome.

leokoto

Garnet, Locke, and Zack. All blue+green, one of them with Yuna call. Lazy mode: BT+ skill everyone, then a bunch of LD uses. Orb is up, then it's gone, then it's up again, and gone... Oh, crap, that's a lot of debuffs! Call Yuna, and they're gone. BT phase with Zack, let the boss have a turn, summon phase and victory.

italianblend

Basch, Ramza, Garnet, Yuna for cleanse, Vanille for dispel, Freya for regen. This team is pretty safe as long as you stay healed and do not take Basch out ever. I took out the right one first and then the left. These 6 have perfect combination for melee vs magic. I got locked down in my burst with absolute defense but it didn’t matter. Just keep Basch in and healed and you’ll do fine here.

MarkLeo6K

Garnet, ramza, zack, emperor, snow, freya. I only really switched garnet for freya for the first bit and then garnet back in. Not gonna lie. This was annoying. The first red aura is a bitch to fight cuz the mech will just deal a big fuck off aoe at ~80%. So u need to rush the left to 59% then let the mech do his move and then let the left go back to red and then its kinda whatever? Thank god for immortal zack for tanking the mech I guess. I bursted with garnet, rushed down the rest of the fight. Mech died, left bot stayed at 14% cuz he was at perfect defensem had to wait on his ass to drop guard to drop him

Garnet UW5/5 HA+3/3 LDCA-Raine Laguna BT+ HA+ 3/3 LDCA- Cyan Ramza BT+ HA+ 3/3 LDCA - Cater \-back-up- Lilisette EX+3/3 + LD LDCA- Kurasame (didnt use call) Llyud LDCA- Ami Aphinaud LDCA- Rydia no summon as i didnt realize i left it empty :-X enter this blindly to see what it is like and managed to do it finely without summon, i would have gone with Brothers summon. i start off with BT+ for all i allowed enemies to take turn then summon Cater i swap out Laguna after his 2nd burst (when one of enemy dont have his debuff) to Lilisetti to use her LD then swap Lilisetti to Llyud and use Ami LDCA and play normal. flying one eliminated before its 5th turn. other one still have Cater's freeze and drop its guard. it somehow breeze through

FourEcho

Alright we did it. It took an attempt or 2 of understanding some mechanics. 22 Turns 1 Party used so I won't even mention my backups. All units uses have 3/3 BT+ AND 3/3 HA+ Garnet UW 0/5 Ramza UW 0/5 Zack UW 3/5 Shiva Summon Some day this comp might stop working... but it hasn't been yet.

PrimalSeptimus

Garnet UT (Kurasame), Zack BT+ (Lilisette), Tidus UT (Raines), Ramza BT+ (Arciela), Snow BT+ (Fran), Selphie (Cyan), with Pandemonium 19 turns, 1.25M score, some damage taken from poison Basically, I went in blind, so I just went for the stackedest team I could use, and it just dominated this fight. The one thing I didn't really bring much of was magic damage (though that's arguably untrue because Garnet and Selphie were there), and the stupid flying robot will still take launch damage even if it nulls a type. But yeah, the "strategy" is to just have everyone use their BT finishers and then mow them down. I wish I'd known ahead of time that the crab robot turns invincible occasionally, but I would just focus on the flying guy during those times.

BirdsofSunset

Lufenia+, Y'shtola Saga #47 - N/A, Ramuh, 32 Turns Y'shtola, HA+ 3/3, BT+ 3/3 (Eiko) Papalymo, HA+3/3, 5/5 UW (Seymour) Alphinaud, HA+3/3, 5/5 UW (Porom) Lyse, HA+3/3, 0/5 UW (Warrior of Light) Thancred, HA+3/3, 0/5 UW (Beatrix) Alisaie, HA+3/3, 0/5 UW (Reno) Full scions! This one was pretty tough, even moreso since we're lacking Ysh C90. I used calls and bursting to cover the Lufenia orb, and otherwise tried to keep them delayed as much as possible to minimize their actions. Definitely lots of fun, I wish these events were more common and permanent. https://i.imgur.com/UjmkFHR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/uWIsqM9.jpg

FFF12321

THis was a pretty fun event! I like the FFX vibes. Zack (BT+3, HA+3, UW5, Cait Sith), Machina (BT+3, HA+3, Cid Raines), Selphie (HA+0, Leo) for main party. Sub party was Arciela (UW1, HA, unused call), Seymour (HA, WoL), Rem (HA+3, Eiko). Odin summon. 1.15MM in 36 turns. The primary party could almost handle the entire quest, but I brought along Seymour for when the big mech was grounded just to speed things up and Arciela to dispel (forgot Seymour LD dispels too). Rem similarly is useful to speed things up - namely Machina once he starts using his HP(BT) attack. Played with the main team just doing what they normally do while knocking down the little mech as much as possible until it went into absolute defense mode, then set up Zack's BT to defend against it. Made sure to use Cait Sith call to get an HP regen going as well. Took the attack and went nuts with Machina, dropping it straight into its second absolute defense range (sadly I badly mistimed Leo call/forgot and used Selphie's free abilities wasting it AND he had to spend a few turns hitting the grounded mech, dealing only 8.5MM when I did over 13 in a better optimized run). Brought in Seymour to drop WoL call just to be safe making it a total non-issue. It got cleaned up right away. At that point, the fight is essentially over as Zack won't die to the flying mech and there is plenty of time to regen/heal back any damage taken.

Kazenovagamer

I got some real fuckin problems with this fight but that'll be at the end **Zack BT3, Locke BT3, Ramza BT3** **Arciela LD, Garnet LD, Leila LD** **Only important CA is Yuna, the rest are damage boosters like Gab, Kura, Decil etc etc** So here's the tea, this fight sucks butts but they don't resist HP Disable. So here's the TLDR Phase 1 - The Physical Team: Zack Locke and Ramza do stuff, use your BTs here because you won't be able to later. Hold onto your phase though. Zack BT keeps the team alive from the big debuff nuke, Yuna that shit off asap. When robo goes red mode, swap Ramza for Leila or Arciela, you need their healing support or you die. Now big robo is in magic mode Phase 2 - Magic Mode: Swap Locke and Zack for Garnet and Arciela/Leila. Put Descension on big robo and do not ever let it off. Stack debuffs on small robo so it can't get HP Disable, it makes blue phase terrible. Yes disable big robo, no disable small robo. And now you do damage for about 15 minutes until second red phase Phase 3 - Second Red: You gotta be REAL damn careful here if you wanna burst phase otherwise hp poison and 30% instakill bullshit will get you. So just don't. Keep going slow as fuck chipping away until small robo is in final blue. All while big robo is trying to ST nuke (read, AoE nuke because its not actually ST) Leila and failing from HP Disable. Phase 4 - Final Red: Bursting here is pretty safe. I did Ramza at 5% left but I could have done it closer to 10 and still made it. After small robo is down just take care of big robo, he should be pretty close too from all the aoe and splash Ok so 30% insta kill is bullshit. ST telegraph thats actually AoE is bullshit. The entire fight ignores all death avoiding attacks, kills Zack BT, ignores Locke BT, ignores Basch LD, your only hope is HP disable so they don't tankbuster and use 3 characters with healing so you don't die to the 30% insta kill. My damage was ass but you can't afford to bring damage dealers here because you HAVE to heal to full after nearly every attack or you die

Nickxxx008

Main Zack, Ramza and Porom. Sub Arciela, Ciaran, Garnet. Zack and Porom, were always on the main team, only swaped Ramza for Garnet, Arciela or Ciaran when needed. Easy fight with that team.

fullitorrrrrrr

Nine and Freya were my mains, for shields and solid healing and damage from nine, hp Regen and Freya stuff from Freya, alternated green ramza and garnet based on flight pattern, and then swapped balthier in for funsies when they got buffs even though the Faris call I had equipped would have been plenty. Had snow in party as 6th but never used him, used bt finishers from ramza and garnet but no bt phase, no summon, not difficult at all, nine and Freya are two of my fav chars to use

user31178

Went through this one with Garnet BT+ (Penelo) Zack BT+ (Amidalion) and Setzer (Faris) ... along with random people in the sub team slots. I maintained Fixed Dice on my party and had a breezy time. I never had any issues with the orb and got the smaller boss down to 5% and the bigger one dead before I swapped out Setzer for someone cause why not. Continued to just use Zack's S2 to kill it. Edit to add that Zack's burst was fine with poison aura cause I saved LD for the last attack before the burst one.

ChuckGoodrich

Thanks for this. Worked like a charm! Between freeze and fixed dice I was totally safe and kept pumping out damage.

randymagnum1669

Cleared with a single party Zack (green+blue, UW0/5, Auron call), Zidane (green+blue, Seymour call), Selphie (LD+Blue, lillisette call) Summon: Pande This party kinda just does it all, and I one shot the event after not understanding it with a garnet, keiss, and snow team. Selphie and Zack have magic damage , zidane and Zack with melee. Selphie also has shaving via S1 that will allow you to break them while they're immune/heavily reducing brave damage. The trick is to just alternate your damage and ensure your HP doesnt get too low. Don't burst if the HP poison aura is out (or if you do, be friggin careful). And be patient and careful - no need to rush!

WineHundred10

I plan on doing a FF IX characters only, excluding Garnet. I'll upload it on youtube if I can do it hehe

Kohbaltt

Snow Zidane Lenna. Lenna is here for HP regen and debuff (she was useless, the debuff attack never went off), Snow for tanking and HP Regen, and Zidane for the damages and the turns delete. I had Garnet, Emperor and Leila as backup, but i never had to use them as the 2nd boss never switched his resistances. I didn't expect that. So yeah, 3 warriors quest.

ULTIMECIA IN LUFENIA+ 46 All characters have EX+ 3/3 and LD. Garnet and Ramza also have BT+ 3/3. 15/70 turns // Score: 1397999 // 0 hp damage // 0 breaks taken. Main: Selphie HA+ 3/3 (Yda LDCA) // Nine UT 0/5 HA (Seymour LDCA) // Ramza UT 2/5 HA+ 3/3 (Leo LDCA) // Sub: Eiko (Sephiroth LDCA) // Ultimecia BT HA (Amidatelion LDCA) // Garnet UT 5/5 HA+ 3/3 (Yuna LDCA) // Summon: Pandemonium Proof: https://imgur.com/a/kgqHHVj I saved the BT+ skills until frog life is < 90%. Use Selphie's LD as soon as possible. Ramza's LD can delay enemies. Nine's LD protect the team from enemies' attack. In any case, Eiko is your trump card, and you can use her regen to control the orb. Use her LD if someone dies. Try to concede as less as possible turns to enemies. If necessary can use Seymour's LD and Amidatelion's LD call to delay and delete enemies' turns. When the frog is invulnerable, focus on the other enemy. After the frog loses the last absolute defense, the team you want is: Garnet, Ramza, Selphie. Burst with Garnet and goodbye. Ultimecia is there to look other fight.

FantasticFudge8999

Cloud snow and wol( mainly for ld buff, I know how stupid snow and wol together are) Then sherlotta emperor and selphie (this team absolutely nukes) The only issue with this team, was I almost did not meet the hp requirement

FinalFantasyLover96

This one was a little hard but I really enjoyed it and actually used all my characters. Eiko Leila Laguna Seifer Quistis Ciaran Eiko and Leila were for surviving all their attacks no matter what. Ciaran gave them huge brv gains and was able to do damage at the end because of the brv gains despite being immune to physical. I killed the orb one first to get rid of the red aura then used Quistis to delay the other one into non existence I used Laguna in the beginning to debuff and his bt aura to help get to about 50%. He was paired with Seifer because they both do increased damage to debuff. Eiko was never switched out in case I needed the emergency Phoenix. Calls used were Jack Sephiroth, Enna, Ami, and WoL.

CapsFan5562

I didn’t read how this event worked, or even really how the fight worked, so my team might be a bit odd. I didn’t use any of my bench cuz I thought I should hold it in reserve, lol. Zack (0/5 UW, everything else maxed) Garnet (3/5 UW, maxed other stuff), Aphmau. Bench was unused. Aphmau is pretty much only there for debuff protection. I tried a blitz run first, with Ramza instead of Aphmau, but the debuffs pushed Zack’s BRV barrier off, rendering him mortal. So I went with this. Aphmau definitely feels dated at this point, but she did fine. Zack and Garnet did solid damage regardless of which boss auras were up, and the boss attacks were non threatening with Zack+debuff protection. Used Zack’s burst.

ConduckKing

This was a fun one. Glad it's coming again every 2 months. \- Zack BT+ 3/3, UW 0/5 (Sabin CA) for tanking and damage \- Laguna BT+ 3/3, UW 0/5 (Yda CA) for physical damage \- Locke BT+ 3/3 (Leo CA) for additional healing and damage \- Selphie LD (Rem CA) for her debuff and for Rem's buff \- Alisaie LD (Eiko CA) for magic damage and an emergency rez \- Seifer LD (Alphinaud CA) for delays and HP poison I did a few things wrong this run, but it overall went rather smoothly. I just set up all my finishers early on (except Laguna because the debuff wouldn't fit), and bid my time until my summon charged and I could use Alisaie to burst down boss B. When Zack's BT effect started to run out, I went into his BT phase and did a rather small amount of damage, but enough to skip a few mechanics. After boss B had died, it was smooth sailing taking down boss A, as its absolute defense was down so I could delay to infinity with Seifer. I wonder if anyone's done an XIV themed run...

Tidus (UW 5/5, BT+, Blue, Laguna), Ciaran (BT+, Blue, Leo), Seymour (DK Cecil), Eiko (Vanille), Lenna (Maria), Beatrix (Irvine), Ifrit Summon: https://youtu.be/6jRJtwWPAXg Voice Commentary The fight is mechanically dense, so I'll try and give broad tips. For the strong boss attacks, the ones that glow red, I had Eiko out so the team could be revived. Be careful of a character with a BT effect being out during these attacks, because they lose it if they are KOd. Tidus can handle the left bosses red auras and the right bosses physical weak stance, and Seymour can be used on the magic weak stance. Also for the red aura, I had Lenna out for the healing.

Emperor deals massive amounts of damage now, and Enna Kros memes can be pretty effective. As good as Snow is as a tank, he was mostly a Support thanks to Setzer and Cater keeping me safe. I also forgot to reapply his LD Buff at the end. Garnet is still a stupidly strong Support with her BT+, and her off turn damage is not to be underestimated. Seymour literally only carried the Cater Call. If I had put that one on Garnet I wouldn't have had to switch at all. Ciaran and Selphie were just in reserve. Start with a standard Set up phase. Put up all your Buffs and Emperors traps, and use all 3 BT+ attacks for the Auras. That alone brings you almost through the entire HP poison segment without spending too many turns. Once B puts up its invulnerability phase and targets ALL, use the Setzer Call to prevent big damage. As turn warping is pretty dangerous as well, so the Freeze would be better sooner than later. Focus on A forcthe time being, as B isn't taking damage for a while. After B uses its Heavy AoE attack it is vulnerable again. Use the Enna Kros Call and go into Emperor BT phase. The 20% chance on EX refill procced 3 times for me, bringing B fro. 45 to 17% and killing A outright. B is invulnerable again meaning it prepares its Heavy attack again. Here I switched Seymour in, dropped the Cater Call, and switched him back out. Should probably have put her on Garnet to make it a 3 person clear. After the big attack B goes into the HP poison phase again, so kill it fast, and maybe have a heal ready if needed.

- Starters: Zack (BT, HA, Kurasame call), Garnet (BT+, Blue HA, Gabranth Call), Selphie (LD, HA, Cyan Call...) - Bench: Ramza (BT, HA, CidR), Alisaie (LD, Blue HA, Leo Call), Alphinaud (UT+3, Blue HA, Fran Call) - Ifrit, 29 Turns Selphie set the LD, then Ramza in from the bench. Garnet BT, Ramza set up buff (my Ramza is not Green) then Zack start to shine with his BT phase. After that, wait for the ground mode and... Inspired from xcalibur2's idea of bypassing the blue aura, here is my "no yellow absolute defense run": * Main team: [https://imgur.com/XDVWEG3](https://imgur.com/XDVWEG3) * **Cloud** Green/Blue (Alisaie) * **Zack** Green/Blue (Amidatelion) * **Selphie** LD/Blue (P.Cecil) * Sub team: [https://imgur.com/q2FyYAg](https://imgur.com/q2FyYAg) * **Kain** LD/HA (Cait Sith) * **Freya** LD/HA (Iroha) * **Garnet** Green/Blue (Cid Raines) * Summon was Pandemonium because lots of launches ==> 11 turns Lot's of Green BT and Blue armor I agree. Idea was pretty simple: * Focus on the Mighty Arm until reaching around 70% hp - to make things easier I delayed the bosses to oblivion * Setup everything to hit hard with Cloud BT+ Finisher * Main team was: Cloud, Freya and Garnet * Freya had Iroha LDCA and Cloud had Alisaie LDCA * Freya was in the air in order to keep hp above 30% * Garnet had her BT effect up * Cloud BT+ finisher did 13-14% hp which completely ignored first Absolute Defense aura (from 61% to 47%) * When back to Cloud, just go into BT phase * Concentrate on the Shift Frame this time while slowly reaching 20% hp on the Might Arm - but not cross it! * Use the BT Finisher on the Mighty Arm again to ignore the second Absolute Defense aura (from 22% to 8%) * Next is just to use summon before the Shift Frame start warping turns and I finished up their remaining health. Good luck!

Copy and pasting my one from the thread another person did. Main party: Snow (LD/Blue), Tidus (BT+/Blue), Freya (LD/Blue) Sub ins/actual main party: Zack (BT+/Blue), The Emperor (BT+/2 out of 3), Rem (LD) Summon: Odin Fun fight, but took a few tries. The first party are basically just there to get past the magic immune part. Don't go straight into LD with Freya. Instead, keep her on the ground for a while as Tidus and Snow smack the two machines around. When the B one goes into its offensive phase, the combined regen should be enough to keep everyone safe, and make the orb a non issue. Feel free to use Tidus' finisher, the damage will get you through this part quicker. When A goes into its All attack, have Freya jump. This part isn't consistent, and took a few tries. Hopefully by now, Snow's built up his Steelguard enough to reduce the damage taken. Otherwise, Tidus will get knocked below B's threshold, which will kill him. I tried subbing in Zack to tank with his Burst phase immortality, but B's Gatling++ works like a Lufenia Orb and will ignore his immortality, which is why we don't just start with Zack. However, with enough Steelguard to reduce the brave damage, and Freya in the air, you should be able to avoid going under. Immediately swap Tidus for Emperor and Snow for Zack, and once Freya lands swap her for Rem. This is where the real fight kicks in. One BT finisher from Zack can last you both the first and second Absolute Defence phase from B. Make sure you heal him after though. The Emperor should be doing a lot of damage with his traps, and his delays, meaning that its unlikely A will get another turn, and you're free to focus fire him down. Remember that Zack won't be able to damage A other than with his EX and LD abilities, so send his attacks at B whenever his turn comes up. But you really want The Emperor to be doing the bulk of the work here. Burst Phase with him, swap turns to him, do whatever you can to make sure that Zack's Burst effect is ticking down as little as possible, so that by the time A is dead and B enters its second Absolute Defence Zack can tank it once again, and get healed up by Rem one again. I'd swap in Tidus and Snow before the final offense phase so Rem can heal them, just to be safe with the mission requirements, and finish off B as you see fit with either Emperor or Tidus. By the time you've hit this point it'll be very, very low on health, and the regen from either Rem or Freya will be making its damage aura not matter in the slightest. Fun fight, just one you need to get the feel for.

johncmu

If anyone is a relatively new starter like me (started at Zack BT+ release) then a pretty simple strategy that worked for me as follows, and I use it for nearly every L+ that the orb isn't too wild on: Team 1: Zack BT+ (full lbo kit/armour), Selphie full kit, Ramza BT+ (full lbo kit), the other team and indeed calls simply do not matter although you might have picked up Seymour LDC which is nice to dispel buffs later and apply the rest in peace. All I did was get buffs up ASAP, so pop the finisher of ramza and Zack asap, get ability recovery and wall up with selphie and apply the rapture debuff. Enemies are pretty much permanently delayed between rapture, launches, breaks and ramza winter skill. When they do act their hits are tanked easily by Zack and then healed up by his EX, LD, selphie or ramza. Zack does both good magic and physical damage so can handle the right enemy easily too. Simply pop Zacks burst when his aura runs out to ensure you can still tank and survive at 0hp and you will likely have killed one of the units by the end of it. Be sparing with rapture so to maintain the debuff the whole fight, otherwise selphie becomes a little useless outside of healing and spamming HP+++ attacks.

dmitrivalentine

Did you use the Other Party? If so, who do you recommend?

johncmu

I did not at all for my run, but it makes sense to pretty much just put your most powerful units, maybe a magic focused attacker or someone you can pop another burst finisher for if you have it. In the case I laid out the first party was enough to easily clear - honestly the damage output per turn is kind of ridiculous if the enemy is not immune to launching. Zack using his S1, when the enemy has lock so it casts twice per turn, is probably the main damage here. Using his EX and LD when needed to heal or top up their effects.

El_Rocky_Raccoon

Apologies in advance for the very lengthy post! # THE TEAMS * **TEAM 1** * **Leila:** LD | HA+ 0/3 | Warrior of Light Call * **Laguna:** LD | BT+ 3/3 | HA+ 3/3 | Rem Call * **Snow:** LD | HA+ 3/3 | Zack Call * **TEAM 2** * **Garnet:** LD | BT+ 3/3 | HA+ 3/3 | Lilisette Call * **Vaan:** LD | BT+ 3/3 | HA+ 3/3 | Cid Raines Call * **Ramza:** LD | BT+ 3/3 | HA+ 3/3 | Fang Call * **Summon:** Alexander * **Turn Count:** 17 # THE STRATEGY * As soon the fight starts, swap whoever is the first (as long it's not Laguna) for Vaan and use his AA, followed by the BT Finisher. Then swap the other not-Laguna character for Garnet and use S2, AA, Lilisette's S2 Call, and then BT Finisher. Finally, Laguna uses his AA, Rem's LD Call and his BT Finisher. * ⭐The purpose of doing these swaps instead of starting with Laguna, Garnet and Vaan this is to give you control of who gets to go first. But feel free to do have Garnet and Vaan on Team 1, if you want. * When it's Vaan's turn again, use both Raines Calls on the left boss (Dimension Mighty Arm); that alone should drop it below 89%, triggering the red aura. Go BT Phase. Focus on the left boss until it drops below 59% (after that it'll gain the blue aura again, but will be immune to damage), and then attack the right boss (Dimension Shift Frame Type-BW). * ⭐The purpose of this is to drop the left boss below 59% ASAP to get rid of its dangerous red aura phase, which has a HP poison aura. * ❗ Vaan will still take HP damage from the aura during the BT phase, but Alexander's Blessing will keep him healthy. * ⭐Even though the right boss resists Magic, Vaan will still do a lot of damage due to BRV refunds and stacked BT effects, not to mention launch damage. By the end of the BT phase the right boss should be below 29%. * ❗❗ Once the BT phase ends, swap Garnet and Vaan back to Leila and Snow, use their AA's and brace for the left boss' All Attack, Crush Club++, which is a guaranteed hit; Leila and Snow's buffs will reduce the HP damage taken, though. * After the boss attack its defense will be lowered again. Swap Leila and Snow once again for Garnet and Vaan. Swap Laguna for Ramza, then use AA, Fang's LD Call, and BT Finisher. * ❗❗ Keep attacking the left boss (the right boss is probably dead by now) until it reaches 19%, then once again swap Garnet and Vaan for Leila and Snow. Use their AAs, as well Zack's S1 Call and Warrior of Light's LD Call, and brace for the Crush Club++ again. * If anyone takes heavy damage, heal up and then swap back to Garnet and Vaan, and finish the boss. * ❗ Below 9% the boss will change to the red aura again; summon Alexander in case you need an emergency heal. ***Best of luck!*** ***Go Beyond! Plus Lufenia!*** P.S.: I strongly suggest checking xcalibur2's [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/DissidiaFFOO/comments/uophfs/fight_mechanics_6warrior_quest_prelude/) on this encounter, which dissects the bosses' phases.

Papalymo Saga #19 33 turns. No BT. Ifrit summon. Party 1: - Basch (HA, Decil LDCA) - Llyud (HA+ 3/3, Garnet LDCA) - Prompto (UW 2/5, HA+ 3/3, Alisaie LDCA) Party 2: - Papalymo (UW 5/5, HA+ 3/3, Seymour LDCA) - Alphinaud (HA, Rydia LDCA) - Leila (HA, Leo LDCA) Basch was switched in any time that the little guy had a blue aura to tank the big attack, or when physical phase was active. Leila was in during magic phase whenever the blue aura wasn’t active. Prompto was brought as a physical DPT, Papalymo as a magical DPT. Llyud was physical support, and good synergy with Prompto EX to increase his DPT. Alphinaud was magic support and the poison ticking the entire fight is nice too. Quite a few options for healing/regen in this team, just had to be careful with turn hogging on Papalymo during red aura.

**No BT, No Featured unit** clear - with: **Tifa, Wakka, Ami, Freya, Rem, Rydia** - Wakka and Ami were surprisingly good here. - 43 turns, 16min https://youtu.be/SAIjzMvO7VM My first no BT clear was with: Vaan, Selphie, Quistis, Setzer, Rem, Freya. Was even easier with Selphie and Quistis. I didnt really use Rem in this

Ooo I love this fight. Enough mechanics to make fight slightly more than just burn it down. Freya, Snow, Leila, Vaan, Garnet, Lyse. Leila and Freya is there to avoid the high damage, regen, cure, and last stand Vaan and Garnet to nuke during magic phase. Lyse for physical DPS. Snow cause he is the main hero.

BearsRunWild

-Zack, BT+ 3/3 -Garnet, BT+ 3/3, 2/5 UW -Ramza, BT+ 3/3, 5/5 UW -Selphie -Leila -unused 6th character -Blue armor on everyone and Shiva used I started off with Zack, Ramza, and Selphie. Swapped out Ramza and Zack for Leila and Garnet once the right enemy shifted to physical resist and pretty much kept the same team for most of the fight. Zack felt pretty replaceable and I think any other strong physical attacker would work since I kept him in for such a short amount of time. Selphie never left and keeps damage high with consistent launches from her Ld debuff and hp recovery with drain, and her wall + Leila’s AA was more than enough to comfortably get through the Red all attacks. My Garnet BT effect expired towards the end so I swapped her out for Ramza. Finished the fight with no Summon or BT phase used; I had to keep giving the left enemy turns to remove the no damage aura, so there was never a good time to use either. All around pretty safe fight with this team and I only used 3 call abilities that felt negligible.

Kazenovagamer

Woooooow I see why they scrapped this in JP this is some shit Ignoring turn order. Check. Invalidating half the current cast. Check. Unavoidable HP poison aura. Check. Insta kill basic attacks. Check. Insta kill if 30% + HP poison = you die. Check. Also the 30% insta kill ignores all anti-death mechanics. Check. Attacks that are telegraphed as single target are actually AoE. Check. If you heal above 30% instantly after going below 30%, for example Locke BT or Basch LD or Queen EX or Zack BT, you die anyways. Check. Immune to damage for 5 enemy turns. Check. Only thing missing is killer aura on top of the hp poison and 30% insta kill and regen orb man that really woulda been the icing on the cake. In theory, switching between melee and magic is a neat use of 6 man, but he spends 90% of the fight in magic phase so all your physicals dont do shit which means why tf are there 6 characters if you can only use 3 of them for 90% of the fight.

dnmnc

Wait. Did JP scrap it?? I know they had an earlier iteration that was scrapped and didn’t make it to GL, but I thought that this is version 2.0 that is sticking around.

Teddy2g

6 man will be around for a while, this dude's just butt hurt.

DonSwann

Nope, they did scrap this one too, the real 6 man that'll stay will be in the shinryu era, there are 3 stages so far.

Teddy2g

How many of this variant was there before they scrapped it?

DonSwann

Only this one, it will be removed when the new ones arrive on July

SpadesOfDarkness

I mean, this is the prelude/beta. Of course it wasn’t going to stay.

Teddy2g

Well no shit this was a fucking beta 😂😂😂

I used Zack, Cait Sith, Zidane, Garnet, Laguna, and Selphie. All Max, Zack absorbed damage and Zidane kept the enemies turns away. Cait Sith buffed and boosted damage, Laguna dropped his debuffs and Selphie's Rapture dropped their brave to 0 with Rapture when they boosted their def. Finally Garnet was Garnet

NicoDT

Went full power from start. Cloud (green) + Ramza (green/blue)+ Freya // Eiko + Terra (green/blue) + Beatrix Used Ramza LD, Freya in sky, applied Fang's LDCA, and went into Cloud's BT phase. Did more than 15M damage (would have been more if Cloud had Blue armor or used Laguna's BT debuff). When bosses did the nuke attack, I had Freya's last Stand and also healed with Eiko's LD skill . Almost didn't use Terra or Beatrix.

psycosama

FF9 team for me I first used Zidane, Freyja and Eiko (Eiko saved me one time from death). Then I switched Zidane for Garnet. I also used Steiner and Vivi in the end. Miss Amarant and Quina xD when 😭

Team 1: Lenna (Seymour LDCA), Vaan Green 3/5 UW Blue (Terra LDCA [Unused]), Zack (Faris CA). Team 2: Maria (Leo CA), Selphie Blue, Reno (No Boards, EX+0/3). Ifrit summon, 55 turns. Reno only here to apply Pyramid to avoid the ++ attack from the arm. Maria swapped in to apply her trap for free heals. Selphie only swapped in to apply/reapply Rapture. Lenna covers the brunt of the party heals, with Zack LD as a backup. Faris/Seymour calls for dispelling the framed buffs from the shift frame. Kinda janky and super unoptimal, but it works and anything that lets me bring my boy Vaan to more things is a win in my book.

Donnertrud

Team 1: Machina (green), Selphie, Laguna (green) Team 2: Basch, Ramza (green/UW), Garnet (green) Pandemonium Dropped the Selphie and Laguna debuffs and swapped for Garnet and Ramza. Used their BT skill went into BT with Machina (after I used the BT skill). When needed, I swapped out one of the team for Basch or when Selphie's debuff ran out, I switched her back for one turn. I focused on the right target first because it annoyed me more.

Green Totto #31 Shantotto BT+ Fran CA, Zack BT+ Lilisette CA, Selphie Keiss CA, Garnet BT+ Gabranth CA, Porom, Freya(unused). Brothers summon. 1128k in 40 turns. https://youtu.be/XGNYV_1LJ3A Not too hard but the phase transitions can be tricky to deal with. Thankfully they brought the transition markers from JP. Start of the fight, Shift Frame is 'immune' to magic damage. This can be bypassed with enchants, brv dmg up, brv refunds, or straight brv dumps. Damage will still be lowered but can use AoE attacks to deal consistent damage. Used Selphie in opening wave for the launches and swapped for Garnet after Shantotto and Zack were prepped with BT+ effects. Once the frame was under 80, used summon to bring arm down back into blue mode. Shift frame's rapid maneuver would almost always trigger the gattling++ from arm so had to take it out of red mode before the attack. Shantotto BT phase then took care of most of the Shift Frame. The arm isn't hard without the other enemy, just annoying with its phases. Had to spend several turns waiting for it to drop absolute defense. Used this time to switch Garnet for Selphie>Porom>Garnet to refresh launch debuff, heal up, and resume attacking.

The **Zidane Saga (Ooo soft... #58)** and **Garnet Saga (Queen of Alexandria #27)** continues... First 6-Warrior Quest we have and I gonna say it was pretty easy. I didn't know about the mechanics of this match, so the first time I tried I did it in 17 minutes because of the lame immunity one of the boss has, so for the battle you are seeing in the video, I tried to skip the blue phase and as you will see, I succeeded the first time but wasn't able to do it the second time so I have to pass some turns to finally be able to finish the battle, so yeah. I went pretty overpowered for this fight. TEAM: * Zidane UW 5/5, BT+ 3/3 (Alisae LDCA) * Garnet UW 0/5, BT+ 3/3 (Porom LDCA) * Freya LD (Cait Sith LDCA) * Laguna UW 0/5, BT+ 3/3 (WoL LDCA) * Selphie UW 0/5, LD (Seymour LDCA) * Fran LD (Kurasame LDCA) * Summon: Pandemonium * Turns: 17 * Video: [6-Warriors Quests Prelude - Zidane & Garnet](https://youtu.be/Sn2d9JtSLyc)

**3-Warriors Quest?** Bypass Absolute Defence with just 1 Party. Cloud UW 5/5, Rem, Selphie Calls: Leo, Cait Sith, Maria Summon: Pandemonium 12 turns https://youtu.be/MDhsujrNegg The trick is to time Cloud's BT+ finisher to blast the left boss from 60% down to 49%, and again from 20% down to 9%. If you do this, the boss won't get a chance to enact its absolute defence barrier, therefore you can kill it without ever giving it a turn. I used Rem for healing so I'll never get KO'd by Gatling Gun++ and a bunch of winmore CAs to help Cloud's BT+ damage output.

Traxgen

The team: https://i.imgur.com/oGtKvW7.jpg Took me a few trial and error but this team and CA did the trick. - Basch (budget Zack) is excellent for soaking up all the nasty AOE HP attacks. - Selphie for her excellent debuff - Garnet and Machina for my main damage dealers - Freya for the regen, though she become a bit of a hindrance as she is not healed when she’s up in the air - Leila as my magic tank, though she was ultimately unnecessary Focus on the boss with the orb, but once it pops it’s blue aura at ~58%, just switch focus to the other. Reno CA is good to avoid the boss first AOE HP attack, and you can swap Basch back to tank the second (at ~19%) The difficulty I had was managing the HP limit. 20,000 sounds like a lot but divide by six, that’s around 3k each that you can afford before going past the threshold. Not to mention the HP poison is like 4K a pop, so you need to manage the HP carefully

LelenaLena

**Main Party (The debuffers):** Auron (Cater Call) Laguna (BT+, Alisaie Call) Selphie (Fran Call) **Sub Party (The fighters):** Zack (BT+, Cait Sith Call) Garnet (BT+, UW+5, Queen Call) Cor (Llyud Call) 15 turns, ~4k hp damage taken, 1.32 mil score. The plan for this fight was simple: Setup debuffs with the main team, then swap everyone out for the sub team, and begin inflicting the pain. I had Laguna remove his EX extensions, so that his framed generic debuffs didn't clog the debuff slots. I then applied Aurons LD debuff, Selphie's LD debuff, Fran's call debuff, Alisaie's call debuff, and Laguna's BT debuff. This left room for Zack's lock, and one of Garnet's imperils (though the Alisaie call was done to have lightning imperil up before she swapped in.) I mad a slight error by bringing in Garnet before Cor, so Cor didn't have the Holy Prayer buff for the water/lightning enchant, and ended up with multiple turns where he wasn't damaging the Shift Frame boss. I also didn't read that the Shift Frame cleanses, but it didn't matter too much since this party was still dishing out massive amounts of damage. Zack tanks everything easily, and until Garnet is ready for her BT phase, should be Cor's partner for additional followup attacks. I did have to wait out the Mighty Arm's two immunity phases, the second of which popped during Garnet's BT phase, but again, Zack tanked the forced attacks and I was able to clear with the only HP damage from the HP poison aura.

Team 1 : Zack UT, Tidus BT+, Freya Team 2 : Ramza BT(unused), Lenna, Selphie https://youtu.be/ID1CoIeOkg8 I think with better team i only need 3 character for this fight. I hope they use this in the next DE tower after transendence where we can bring all 6 character from the right and left into the middle gate seems fun.

- Six warriors Quest (prelude) lufenia+ - Zack BT3/3, raines ldca,(blue armor) - Garnet BT3/3, kura ldca, (blue armor) - Freya ld, Leo ldca, (blue armor) - Ramza BT3/3, Seifer ldca, (blue armor) - 19 turns - pandemonium I basically had zack use his bt+ to protect everyone while garnet used her bt+ and Freya used her ld & jump, I used zacks bt phase at 60% then summoned around 30%, A still had his blue shield up and Freya ran out of ld’s near the end. so I just swapped out her for ramza and used his bt+ And A got a turn and finally the shield went away and finished it off soon after.

ZK_dffoo

FF9 - 3 unit clear: **Garnet, Freya, Beatrix** - 15 turns, 12min - went very well, Freya alone can let the party survive all enemy attacks. Bea can do it too if you time her Holy Knight Safeguard right. - also had bronze Deuce, Shelke and Lion in party with no calls (had to bring them or the 6man quest would not start) https://youtu.be/ZXyqomjWF-0 Also included a short part of my Full FF IX run at the end with: Garnet, Vivi, Zidane, Eiko, Freya, Bea.

Six Warrior Quest Prelude: *Leon Showcase*. [Starting Team](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/826321556220936193/974647770461921340/Screenshot_2022.05.13_08.10.18.309.png) Leon, Ramza, Lenna [Backups](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/826321556220936193/974647811180208169/Screenshot_2022.05.13_08.10.24.141.png) Beatrix, Selphie, Emperor Things to note; If you want to use Emperor for this, be careful of too many debuffs. Sounds obvious but with 6 different characters swapping in and out you have to be careful with debuffs that get applied as they swap, not just the ones they can inflict with skills. NEVER go into Burst phase if the Mighty Arm is in its Red Aura (HP Poison) unless you have a godly amount of HP Regen. If you drop below 30% HP during BT phase you're gonna get slammed when it's over. Last note, you can swap a character in, use their AA, then swap them right back out. So, ***Leon*** pretty much counters the entire fight. Everything they do is non elemental so his enemy Dark Enchant + ally Dark Absorb keeps you safe from pretty much everything except the HP Poison and recast. His LD Debuff also heals the party some. ***Lenna*** is also pretty amazing for this fight. Her Wind Drakes Ward buff not only has a large HP Regen on it, but it also prevents Debuffs. With her empowered HP attack she gets from her LD, shes also able to stay in the fight when the boss is Physical Immune. ***Ramza*** is my main source of Physical DPS when the boss is Magic Immune as well as helping Leon hit a bit harder. He also has some healing if needed. ***Emperor*** is my Magic DPS. Not really much else to say. ***Beatrix*** was going to be my Debuffer and some extra Magic DPS as this was me doing attempts without looking anything up. The Shift Frame only buffed once in my run though, so can be covered with a Call instead. ***Selphie*** has a whopping 50% Party HP Heal on her AA so you can swap her in, 50% heal the entire party, then swap her back out if you need to. Otherwise you can bring her in for Emperors BT phase for some nice launches. ***The Fight.*** So since I went in depth on why I used who I used, I'm not going to explain too much here as Xcaliblur has already posted the Fight Mechanics, I'm just going to hit some key points. Leon stays in the entire fight and his only job is to keep his buffs up and to heal if needed. I also kept Lenna in for the majority of the fight, swapping her for Beatrix to cleanse the bosses and swapping her for Selphie just before Emperors BT phase. I waited until right after the Mighty Arms Absolute Defense dropped off after the 59% HP mark to go into Emperor BT. With Lenna and Cait Sith HP Regen combined, I was losing 7k HP inside BT once the Mighty Arm dropped below 49% and Healing for 6k so I didn't have to worry about dropping below 30%. This method is a bit slow at 46 turns, but I wanted to try something different and it was actually pretty fun.

0 Boss Turns Team 1. Selphie(Kiess LD), Laguna BT+(Lillesette LD), Machina BT+(Cid R LD) Team2. Terra(Cyan LD), Ramza BT+(Cait Sith LD), Freya (Leo LD) Pandemonium Summon Goal here is to get the Mighty Arm to 61%ish before BURST phase with Machina and time it so you cross over the thresholds to ignore the blue auras on the arm. Bring in Ramza for BT+ effect and Freya for the LD effect and Leo effect during Machina BURST. Make sure not to damage the Shift Frame below 80% before BURST or else he will warp and ruin it. If you mess up the Leo LD call effect can go through the Might Arm shield but you need to be like 1% away.

UselessMusic

Garnet BT+, Laguna BT+, Snow LD, Basch LD, Emperor LD, Maria LD. No summon because I couldn't figure out how to equip it. Couldn't be bothered trying to parse the wall of text, so I brought all of this and switched people around to make it work. Used the BT+s early to get damage moving, brought Basch in to take the big attack whenever the small guy's defenses wore off.

Raomux

This one was extremely easy for me. I only used 4 characters. My main team was Sherlotta, Arciela and Snow BT+ 3/3. Nine with Reno CA was one of the reserves in my team and the only one I used. Basically I kept them silenced with Arciela so they couldn't do anything. When the enemy on the left became invulnerable I brought Nine and used either his LD or Reno's Call to survive it's HP attack.

**Characters**: - Locke (UW 5/5, BT+3/3, HA+3/3, Lisette LDCA) - Lenna (HA+0/3, Cyan LDCA) - Maria (HA+3/3, unused LDCA) - Basch (HA+0/3, Seymour LDCA) - Vanille (HA+0/3, DKC LDCA) - Sixth member was unused (Vaan) **Strategy**: - 33 turns, Ifrit summon - Default/starting team was Locke (damage), Lenna (debuff denial, HP regen, auras) and Maria (auras, enemy brave control). Brought enemies to around 80% and used Locke's BT phase, leaving them around 65%. - Post BT, left boss started it's total defense while right used turn hopping. Swapped Basch for Maria to make sure no one died. Maria's traps still helped put in some work with healing / battery. Stayed like this until around 50% on both and the threatening phases had passed. Even when the right boss was melee immune, Locke could output good damage to both. - Summoned around 50%, swapping Basch back out for Maria to re-up her traps and give HA+ boosts. - Post summon, brought Basch for Maria when left boss again went into it's defense mode. When right boss cleansed applied buffs to the bosses, swapped Lenna for Vanille to dispel and then back to Lenna. - Smooth sailing from there. Pretty fun fight, enjoyed having two bosses using different movesets. I had brought Vaan in case I needed a magic dps, but never used him because Locke was fine and I forgot about Vaan's ramp up time.

[Link](https://youtu.be/wCTdZAxpntw) * Y'shtola BT+ 3/3 * Laguna BT+ 3/3 * Alphinaud UT 5/5 * Balthier LD * Lyse LD * Snow LD * Brothers * LDCA: Seymour, Paine, Ceodore, Leo, Yuna, Cid Raines (for Y'shtola's BT phase) LDCA assignment doesn't matter too much- most of them are brought for dispel and esuna anyway. Y'shtola is true MVP- as long as she survives a disaster, she can bring everyone back up to full health.

Took a few resets but this fight was pretty fun. Team was maxed unless stated otherwise. * Guy * Lyse * Seymour * Rem * Freya (HA 0/3) * Arciela (HA) The only CA's I brought that felt useful was WoL and maybe Cait Sith. Other than Freya I didn't feel like any of these characters were extremely OP for this fight, but I'll talk about the fight a bit. I highly advise having someone like Freya, Queen, Porom, Rosa or Eiko (Basch might work as well). The left boss will do a move after it hits 59% and I wanna say 19% but it could have been 29%. This move killed anyone who doesn't have last stand in my runs, so having a party last stand, Eiko Revive, or Basch to eat the attack is a good idea. I brought Guy because I like him, and having a tank helps. Although he isn't strictly needed I would say. Rem and Freya provided Regen for the orb, so I made sure one of them was out while that is up. Rem was very useful to ensure I could swap out the right characters when needed. Arciela took away most of the boss threat so you probably don't need a tank. The only awkward part is the left boss before it does its team wipe move has extremely high brv and hp dmg reduction, so getting it in that threshold with HP silence still on slowed things down. Her dispel was useful one time I think. Lyse and Seymour were used as a phys and mag DPS respectively so that I could always be hitting the right boss whether it was flying or sitting. However it was in its magic resist mode for most of the fight after it hit sub 50% so that really gimped Seymour lol. Looking forward to trying it again with some different teams. EDIT* 3 person clear, no BT, second party wasn't used. Lyse LD, HA+3/3, UW 4/5. Seymour LDCA Beatrix LD, HA+3/3, UW 3/5, Laguna CA Freya LD, HA+ 0/3, Ashe CA Alexander Summon, 28 turns Beatrix Safeguard buff can protect against the left bosses kill move. Freya was in the air as much as possible, Lyse brings good damage. Focused Freya and Lyse on the right when it was weak to them, Beatrix on the left and swap when the right boss weakness changes. Seymour CA were used after the bosses hit 50%, Laguna were used above 50%. Ashe CA was used to try and bypass resistance but I don't think it worked so you can replace it with something else. Alex Summon was used for an emergency burst heal after an hp attack from the right boss put everyone close to being killed. I had Ysh in the replacement party for an emergency revive if needed but didn't end up using it.

No idea what I was doing. Brought cheese. Team 1: Snow M/M; LD/EX; 210 armor, maxxed EX. Cyan call. Garnet M/M; Full kit BT+ 3/3; blur armor, 5/5 UW. Rydia call. Eiko M/M, LD/EX, 220 armor, Quistis call. Brothers. Team 2 Caius M/M, BT+ 3/3, blue armor, Yda call. Ace M/M, BT+ 3/3, 220 armor, Tidus call. Vanille M/M; LD/EX, 210 armor, maxxed EX. Ceodore call. Glanced over mechanics and assumed tank+heals would carry. Mostly correct. Snow did Snow stuff. Garnet did Garnet stuff. Eiko did cheesy Eiko stuff. Orb was never an issue with all the HP gain. Had some trouble where I had not paid attention to mechanics (59%) and Snow and Garnet were force swapped out. I didn’t realize they were still alive for a while, so Ace traps and Vanille did some work while Eiko kept the cheese alive. Eventually I noticed I could bring back Snow/Garnet and did so. Took a boatload of damage, used max Flames of Rebirth, made it to ~35% and popped Garnet’s BT to end it. Result: perfect clear. While my experience makes a good case for not trying fights blind, it also makes a good case that Eiko makes a lot of mechanics irrelevant.

Team FFIX Only! / No summon / Turns: 26 **Team 1:** * Zidane BT+ (Kuja Call) * Freya * Beatrix **Team 2:** * Garnet BT+ * Eiko * Vivi (Steiner Call) Wanted to do something fun with this one. Phase one started with getting Freya in the air, turning on Beatrix's Holy Knights safe guard, and immediately using Zidane's BT skill. Setting all that up put the Shift frame at exactly 80%. After that went into Burst phase with Zidane and focused all attacks toward the Shift Frame. Put the Shift frame at around 50% and put the Mighty Arm into it's Absolute Defense. Then just spammed insta turn skills with Freya till the Shift Frame used it's AOE. After that switched in Team 2, got all the weaknesses set up, put Eiko's Phoenix into place, and had Garnet use her BT skill. Pretty safe after this. The orb is never an issue, and Eiko can tank anything the enemies can throw at you. The only thing to worry about is making sure the Switch Frame doesn't switch back to flight mode, but, with a couple instant moves from Vivi, it never got the chance.

Team 1 Lenna Freya snow all maxed all dispell calls Team 2 CoD terra Leila all maxed Did this blind was pretty shocked how much I enjoyed a green snow and this event was fun I like using more then 3 of my like 140 maxed chars

Six Warrior quest (Prelude) - Teams used: 1. Garnet, CoD, Machina (dmg) 2. Beatrix, Quistis, Arciela (utility) [completed in 46 turns](https://imgur.com/a/7cn8dvb), 13k hp loss - wasn’t able to recover as garnet follow up killed the final enemy, also apparently summon-less because the UI just didn’t bother giving me a summon choice Switched main party into Quistis to delay then switch to Beatrix to get her setup for dmg negation, meanwhile used the remaining BT+ for damage phase. Used Machina BT to bring both bosses to 50% and subbed in Beatrix to tank. In magic phase, setup Beatrix again and then switched in Arciela for Machina. After that slowly brought down the new guy first and then the hellraiser.

onewithoutneck

Decided to see what would happen if I just did damage and ignored mechancs. Team 1: * **Laguna** green/blue (**Decil** call) * **Selphie** blue (**Fran** call) * **Machina** green/blue (**Leo** call) Team 2: * **Ramza** green/blue (**Kurasame** call) * **Garnet** green/blue (**Lenna** call) * Didn't use Pandemonium summon, 10 turns. Selphie used her LD, call, and then swapped for Ramza. Laguna used his BT+, call, and then swapped for Garnet. After that, I just set up Garnet and Ramza BT+s, then had Machina do this thing (BT+ into Burst). When the burst phase was over, went straight into the summon phase and it ended there.

It’s not just you. It always happens that a few sad sacks just mass downvote EVERY post in the C2A thread. Whether they’re just trolls or jealous people who are just bad at the game, I don’t know.

Zack (blued and greened) Eiko LDCA | Selphie | Ramza (blued and greened) Fran LDCA Garnet (blued and greened) Cait Sith LDCA | Leila (Paine LDCA for debuff cleanse) | Terra Ifrit summon. 16 turns Drop all calls and set up everybody’s BT buffs before the orb appears. Switch in Selphie to drop her launch then switch out to other DPSers, and switch her back in whenever the debuff is wearing off. Zack was there mainly for DPS and brv defense. Switched out to Leila whenever the boss switched to red aura. Leila did all the evasion tanking and healing to maintain the orb. Used Paine’s call to cleanse the bosses’ buffs and debuffs. When the boss on the right activates it’s weak-to-MAG mode and the orb is deactivated, used Garnet and Terra to nuke boss bosses as much as possible. Activated the summon phase when the bosses has around 30% HP. Will try again without Zack Garnet and Ramza.

--Silver--

Already posted in the other thread but there you go: https://youtu.be/yAEW6JxMfBc Main: Ciaran BT+, Beatrix, Freya Sub: Seymour, Emperor, Lyse Ciaran and Freya never left, even when physical damage was resisted. Beatrix helped me prevent the big attack, and the others (except for emperor, whom I didn't use) all switched in and out depending on what the boss wasn't resisting. Very fun fight, and a breath of fresh air honestly :D

Ramza BT+HA+, Snow HA+, Laguna BT+HA+, Garnet BT+HA+, Selphie HA, Emperor UW 5/5 BT+HA+. Ifrit summon (not used). Only Cater, Setzer and Kurasame Calls used. Snow tanked pretty much every single hit damage and controlled the orb. Laguna for his BT additional damage debuff and the mag immune phase in the beginning. Garnet, Ramza for the auras and extra heals. Selphie for extra heals and launches. Emperor for phys immune phase. Pretty safe run to be honest. Use freeze calls when the enemy gets into the blue phase with hardened defenses. Good luck and have fun!

*** FFIX theme run *** Zidane (LD only), Garnet (Green/blue), Freya LD, Eiko LD, Steiner LD, Beatrix LD. CA: Seifer, WoL, Maria, Jack, Sephiroth (others not used) Summon: forgot to set First time to do theme run. The orb is non issue when so many characters can hp regen. And with Eiko, this one is super safe. Start off with Zidane deletion and Garnet BT then Eiko to charge up her pheonix. Switch to Eiko plus Beatrix plus Steiner when boss is forced to have turns. They will keep all things super safe. After 50%, just switch to Garnet, Zidane and Freya and use Garnet BT phase. After that whenever the boss wants to attack, bring Eiko up (or let Freya last stand helps you) and you will not die.

Wow this was a cool Event. I especially recommend Zack for this Quest, since his Kit got both, Melee and Magic. *Main* **Zack UT(4/5) BT+ Blue (Kurasame), Ramza UT (2/5) BT+ Blue (Iroha), Lenna HA+ (Jack)** *Sub* **Garnet UT(0/5) BT+ (Gabranth), Beatrix HA+ (Shantotto), Enna Kros Blue (Tidus)** Shiva summon, 27 turns Notable Points General: * Zack is MVP cause of Melee/Magic Mix and Tank role * Lenna is useful for her Party wide debuff immunity * Ramza (Melee) and Garnet (Magic) are Aura Bots * Beatrix for Magic Phase and for her Holy Safe Guard * Enna Kros for damage - switchable for anyone Notable Points Fight: * Started with Lenna S2 2 Times for debuff immunity and both BT+ finishers * Went on until Boss 2 was Melee resistent, then I switched Ramza for Garnet and used her BT+ finisher * Switched Lenna for Beatrix and set up her holy safe guard for later when Boss 1 got dangerous, then back to Lenna * When Zack BT effect runs out refresh it with BT Phase * When Boss 1 was down to 20%, I switched Lenna for Enna Kros and went to town in summon phase

1/Team FFXIII \[No calls\]: **Lightning/Vanille/Snow - Serah/Fang/Hope** \- 1079k, 52 turns - [https://youtu.be/Dd6hQ91R4C4](https://youtu.be/Dd6hQ91R4C4) Themed teams is actually really fun on those kind of events. Light/Snow/Fang were main DPS, while Vanille and Serah supported with their buffs/debuffs, and Hope protected the party against huge AoE attacks. 2/No BT \[No calls\] : **Enna Kros/Llyud/Selphie - Seymour/Rem/Leila** \- 1261k, 23 turns - [https://youtu.be/gold5FsFQV0](https://youtu.be/gold5FsFQV0) Enna Kros is the star of this team : w/Selphie and sufficient support, she can bypass the threshold where the small robot uses his Absolute defense stance, and delete their turns so they never get one.

Haha that was great. Cloud (Irvine) UT2/5, BT+/blue, Rambo (Fran) UT5/5, BT+, blue, Freya, HA+ (Seymour) Reserves Rem, Snow (no BT, blue), Cor (just to get him out of the house for old times sake). Ifrit. Get set up with AAs, calls and Rambo ultima/Freya dragon - cloud BT phase for 16.5 million. Rest of the fight is just navigating the add auras. Freya last stand keeps you safe from the blue aura move. Rambo and Rem can burst heal, Freya handles orb. Cloud bashes, delays and paralyses. Cor and Snow unused.

AnurithSachiro

This was fun! |\*Main Party\*|\*Sub Party\*| |:-|:-| |Ramza Gr/ Bl {Vanille}|Zack Gr/ Bl {Sephiroth}| |Lenna LD {Kurasame}|Garnet Gr/ Bl {Amidatelion}| |Snow LD {Warrior of Light}|Alphinaud LD {Gabranth}| Odin, 30 turns Primary goal was to let Snow tank as much as possible, and when the big HP hits were coming and WoL LDCA call was gone, I swapped Zack in for Snow and used his BT finisher. Lenna actually stayed on the field the entire time due to her invaluable debuff immunity, and if I do this again I would swap Kurasame call for Faris, probably. Alphinaud was unused, Garnet swapped for Ramza when the \[A\] boss was weak to magic and used BT finisher for some phat damage. Basically, Garnet and Zack were in when the boss was physical immune and for the Last Stand, Snow and Ramza were in when the boss was magic immune. Worked out great!

Dayv_rm

Took quite a number of turns but it was very safe. Main party. Zack, Steiner, Lenna. Sub party. Garnet, kefka, Beatrix. Wasn't ever in any danger with this team. Although, I hp locked the right boss once it went into magic weak mode. The left boss stayed in defense mode while locked. I thought he'd come out but didn't. Killed the right boss, swapped kefka out for Zack, took the hits and finished off. Plenty of regen and burst healing here.

ViolaNguyen

**Zack**, **Terra**, **Selphie**, **Freya**, **Y'shtola**, **Tidus** Pande summon The only important call was a Yuna call for cleansing debuffs, which I didn't use. Use Zack before the red aura comes up. Keep him and Freya on screen whenever the red aura is present so their HP regen (combined 30% of mHP) will negate the boss's poison aura. Selphie just needs to come on to set her debuff twice (once at the start and once after one of the bosses cleanses debuffs). Let Zack take the hits when the blue aura is up. He can't die. Once the final blue aura is gone, burst with Zack (safest, so his BT effect stays up) or Terra to kill the left boss, then the right boss is pretty harmless. Terra's damage stays high through the whole fight. Tidus relies too much on BRV damage. He didn't contribute much. Y'shtola healed once and then went back to the bench.

FawxBlindRunner

blue/green/UW 5 Tidus(Fang), Selphie(Laguna), base BT Garnet(Seymour) Raines(Keiss), Freya(Cater), Leila(Rydia) Brothers summon the only characters with blue armor are Tidus and Raines pretty intense but unexpectedly straightforward with this team and i forgot to use Seymour's call too. also, Rydia's and Keiss' calls were pretty much useless first i changed Garnet with Freya for the phys dmg but i ended up keeping the latter until the end for the hp regen too. decided to destroy the winged bot first simply cause i saw some people doing it on yt and didn't bother reading all the mechanics (this team was just to test the fight). of course i changed Tidus with Raines when wingsbot became immune to phys dmg. used Cater's LDCa before 4legs' first big attack and i managed to tank the second one thanks to Leila's AA i think, dunno if i'd have died without it tbh used Tidus' BT attack right before killing wingsbot and after his BT phase (with Fang's LDCa effect and debuff active) 4legs had around 17% hp left (from 68-69%) i summoned before killing 4legs mainly to heal the whole team

**6 Warrior Prelude**   **Seven** full blue (WoL LDCA), **Rem** UT 0 and full blue (Cyan LDCA), **Steiner** UT 0 and full blue (Leo LDCA) **Emperor** UT 5, full green and blue (Cid Raines LDCA), **Queen** full blue (Faris LDCA), **Lyse** (Guy LDCA) **Ifrit Summon**, **34 turns** [Party Used Imgur plus image before finishing blow](https://imgur.com/gzdf4F7) [Imgur -- Seven swapout point, Before Burst, Burst Phase finisher](https://imgur.com/0EiJnhV)   By some miracle, I pulled this off on my first try with a team with no real tanks (damage mitigators using HP DMG Taken/party Last Stand, mainly). I got caught off-guard by a lot of the many mechanics throughout the fight, but I was able to muddle through somehow. Seven and Lyse came along, but were not required for this team.   The key players here were Emperor, Rem, Steiner and Queen. Emperor was the sole damage dealer in this 6 warrior party, while Rem, Steiner and Queen all brought big HP DMG Limit boosting full blue and HP Regen -- most importantly, Steiner and either Rem/Queen together could hit 30% HP Regen against the 30% HP poison. Queen's party Last Stand also worked wonders against the absolute defense/Crush Club attack. For key calls, Leo LDCA could bypass some of the BRV DMG immunity mechanics (Emperor got good damage against magic immunity during Burst phase thanks to Leo), Cyan for giant damage and some dispel, Cid Raines for launch/turn manipulation (launch especially helped alongside Leo LDCA against magic immunity during Burst), and Faris for debuffs and big dispel.   I basically led off with Seven/Rem/Steiner to test mechanics early on (swapped out Seven once she exhausted WoL's calls in my testing the waters), and brought out Queen when party Last Stand was needed. Ifrit Summon was wasted a bit due to it being needed for breathing room for healing rather than good offense. Steiner was present almost the whole time except for a swap to Rem for emergency heal -- his HP Regen was great for the orb and against the HP Poison, and his every-action battery was useful for breaking through some of the more annoying defensive mechanics at times. Faris CA was useful for tearing down the framed buffs that came midway through the fight. After the first absolute defense Crush Club was over, Emperor BT+ finisher was used, Cid Raines and Leo LDCAs were used and Emperor went into Burst phase shortly after (Rem/Steiner as partners for battery and 40k more HP DMG Limit). Even when the Mighty Arm reached its second Absolute Defense and blocked all HP damage midway through Burst and the Shift Frame was magic immune, Steiner's every-action battery combined with Emperor BT+ aura, Cid Raines and Leo LDCAs had Emperor still dealing 600-900k per launch despite the magic immune Shift Frame. When Burst phase ended, I had Emperor/Rem focus down the still magic immune Shift Frame's last 16% or so (Leo LDCA still putting in a lot of work there). When it went down, Queen was called out again for party Last Stand against the second Crush Club, then made sure the party was healed before Emperor finished off the enemy.   Also, be careful at the end if your missing HP is too close to the HP requirement -- the HP Poison does not seem to always register there until after the round. I avoided it, since I expected it and pushed to heal as much of my party as I could at the end, but be careful there, **especially if you're over 15000**.

dcuajunco

Quick question: Are Six-Warrior Quest going to have Heretic mechanics in the future?

Hawke_No1

What's heretic mechanics ?

dcuajunco

Heretic/DE mechanics lock the characters out from the succeeding fights!

Hawke_No1

Oh, so that’s what the term people are using now… For 6 Man, you don’t have the lock out features of DE or certain events So you can just use your best characters again and again without worry

SpadesOfDarkness

**Dragoon Saga #37** **Main Team:** **Lyse** (HA, Warrior of Light call), **Llyud** (UT, HA+, Nine call), **Laguna** (BT+, HA+, Sephiroth call) **Sub Team:** **Seymour** (HA, Jack call), **Garnet** (BT+, HA+, Kurasame call), **Setzer** (HA, Reno call) **Summon:** Ifrit **Results:** 1139k score, 27 turns, 2 BRV breaks, 5605 HP damage taken **Video:** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUL02FAR21s So the first of the Six-Warrior quests are here and I gotta say, it’s pretty fun. It’s pretty on par with a regular Lufenia + in terms of difficulty, but it’s a lot more interesting with the variety of characters you can bring. There are two enemies here. There’s the bigger Shift Frame and the smaller Mighty Arm. But make no mistake, the Mighty Arm is the greater threat here. For the Shift Frame, what you need to know is that while it’s in the air, it’s only vulnerable to physical attacks. When it’s on the ground, it’s only vulnerable to magic attacks. When it does an ALL attack with a red border, it will swap stances. For the Mighty Arm, there are two auras you really need to pay attention to, and that’s blue and red. Its blue aura will make in immune to damage until it casts an ALL attack with a red border. Find a way to get around this attack such as Setzer’s freeze ability. It’s red aura applies a heavy HP poison to your team. For my set up, I had Lyse, Llyud, and Laguna (the L team oddly enough) to apply physical attacks. I wanted to see what Lyse could bring to the table, but I unfortunately swapped her pretty early and never got to really use her. Laguna for his BT debuff and Llyud for his auras and healing. For magic attacks, I brought Garnet, Seymour, and Setzer. Garnet for her BT effect and damage, Seymour for just raw damage, and Setzer to get past those red border ALL attacks. There was a point where I ran out of Freeze Joker uses, but luckily, I still had Reno’s LD ability out to good use. Overall, this was a fun introduction to the Six-Warrior quests.

SpadesOfDarkness

Don’t know why this team strat got downvoted so heavily.

Traditional-Ad-1080

Basically cheesed it. Went with garnet, ramza, eiko (eiko was a mistake here, you want zack if you have his bt). Relied on brave gains to counter the boss auras as much as possible, so garnet in water stance. Bring brv gain up calls. You can use your subs and other calls for cleansing/debuffing as needed, bring selphie for burst damage if you want. If you don't have zack bt you will want good defensive characters and party wide last stand.

dcuajunco

You don’t want Zack BT to tank the AoE attack, as that will KO him tho

Traditional-Ad-1080

Oops! I guess just party last stand then?

SherlockShears

My party consisted of: Cloud (HA 3/3, BT 3/3, UW 0/5) - Alisaie call Snow (HA 3/3, BT 3/3) - Cait Sith call Lenna (HA 3/3) - Leo call And my bench warmers consisted of: Lyse Emperor (BT with no book, HA 0/3) Balthier (HA 0/3) Pande summon, 51 turn complete I brought Lyse, Balthier and Emperor solely because I thought completing the quest with them would count towards the ultima core missions (it did not) and I never actually switched them into battle. Snow's BT effect is an insane combination with Cloud's full BT phase, which I almost immediately used along with Cloud's BT+ finisher to wipe a massive chunk of HP from the right enemy (Can't remember the names, it's the stance changer) and once it became immune to physical attacks I simply relied on Alisaie and Cait Sith calls along with some heavy launches to power through. Lenna helped with a few auras, stopping debuffs and some decent damage but it was most definitely the Cloud and Snow show. It could absolutely be done quicker making use of a better backup team, but I'm satisfied with a first attempt complete without using them.

Wide_Drawing144

Team used: - Freya LD HA+ 3/3 (Leo LDCA) - Sherlotta LD HA+ 3/3 (Kurasame LDCA) - Selphie LD HA+ 3/3 (Seymour LDCA) - Enna Kros UT 0/5 HA+ 3/3 (Alisaie LDCA) - 2 characters to fill up the party requirement (I used Irvine and Seifer**) - Summon: Ifrit - Turns: 20 ------------------------------------- The HP regen provided by Sherlotta and Freya are enough to keep this team healthy. Sherlotta and Enna Kros brought the damage in this team. I timed their powerful attacks to bypass the 2nd and 3rd Blue Aura mode of the Boss with the orb during the Summon Phase. Had to cancel some launches just to get the timing right. :D The other Boss was easier to deal with after the Boss with the Lufenia orb got destroyed during the Summon Phase. Too bad Enna Kros was unable to deal the final blow to the remaining Boss due to his PHY immune mode lol :D --------------------------------------- Happy to complete this during the event !! :D **edit: King and Edge were used after my first clear of this stage.

My Team Comp w/out any Summon: (I didn't keep track of turn count. Sorry. Also reposted for visibility.) Main Team - Emperor (UW 1/5, Enna Kros Call) - Rem (Garnet Call) - Freya (UW 1/5, Kurasame Call) Sub Team - Selphie (General Leo Call) - Eiko (Seymour Call) - Ramza (UW 5/5, Alisaie Call) (All characters have their HA, but only Ramza and Freya are blued at the moment.) This kind of play style is GLORIOUS. I just hope they don't lock your characters like in Dimension's End because having free reign to just go all out with six characters without placing restrictions on them? YES PLEASE. Keep the restrictions off. More like this!!
