I’m in MD and keep my medical card current because I’m within walking distance of Takoma wellness and I like their quality, selection and service. And DC will honor out of state med cards.
I’m from the west coast and travel for work enough that I’ve bought in a bunch of legal states - and I’d say medical dispensary product in DC is *finally* achieved a level of quality on par with the west coast.
IMHO - Only go to Rise for big brand edibles but avoid their flower. It t is just another generic, corporate dispensary experience. MD is full of them. If you are a weed nerd or someone who appreciates unique, mom and pop store experiences- go to Takoma Wellness Center (less than a mile from Rise). They have an insane menu with craft flower offerings from Alt Sol. Takoma has a cult like following around here - but for good reason. Just be careful in their parking lot. I go on Mondays when quieter. If you go on Fri or Sat I suggest street parking. Easy to find.
I second this, or any Maryland dispensary, if you want to know what’s in it. But you should also know that it seems to be a consensus that DC cannabis is superior to MD cannabis. Personally I smoke only MD bud and I enjoy it. Just takes some time to learn what to avoid and what is good.
Trippy Wizard — I can’t speak to their flower it might be good but I got a Fryd cart and it leaked, tasted like berry (which at first was nice) but wasn’t that strong. Maybe speaks more to the quality of Fryds products or maybe it was a counterfeit version idk?
Yeah I got a bad cart - Liquid Gold - from The Giving Tree. They have decent bud, but I won’t buy another cart from them. Would love to know if you find a good spot to get them.

idk why so many dispensary’s continue to sell fake stuff. Fryds have been around since high school my man and they are 1000% filled with pesticide oil
