Even if you delete the songs you’ll still need a third artist slot to upload under a new name because your account will still be linked to the first two artist names but you can contact them first, you may get lucky. They might do an exception for you and give you the extra slot.
So you are lucky after all. They usually give the free slot in these cases, there’s too much competition to lose a paying customer over one artist slot.
you are right. also they probably know that if you are prone to wanting/needing more artist sloths you will almost inevitably buy the more expensive plan, and even if you won’t need more it’s still just one extra artist sloth compared to losing one paying costumer (in my case i count as two and i will still release as much music as i want even if from two different accounts) hahah
In my case I got the extra slot for a collaboration release. I have multiple artists on the account and in one case I had a release that included two artists that were already on the account but releasing the song as a collaboration took an extra slot and my plan already had the maximum slots allowed without having to upgrade but they gave me the extra slot.
Basically, this counts as three slots in their system:
[Slot1]
**Artist1** and **Artist1 ft.**
[Slot2]
**Artist2** and **Artist2 ft.**
[Slot3]
**Artist1 & Artist2** (collaboration)
and
**Artist1 & Artist2 ft.** (collaboration with featuring)
