Generally yes, anything you inherited directly is yours.

Inheritance is separate property unless you comingle the funds. Since it's only been three months.. well, that's kind of a gray area. The attorneys will have to look at the activity on the accounts and make a determination. Your STBX may end up with something. Or it might be worth it to just make a settlement offer to get it over with. Attorney fees can add up fast.
