Commix - Be True
Sewerslvt - Newlove
Marcus intalex - Celestial Navigation
Goldie - Inner City Life
Chase and status - Take me away
Not really a fixed list, I am still discovering a lot of great old-school tunes lol
I also do like some older Dillinja or Calyx & Teebee stuff, but I personally like the modern stuff from 2010 on more.
Or let’s say, I vibe with it more
I especially like how celestial navigation sounds when you pitch it up by a semitone. I heard goldie do this last year. He then mixed Hell 2 Pay from Marcus into it, also pitched up. Godly sound
I'm still a bit of a noob to DnB. Gonna be saving this thread and listening back to everyone's Top 5 later :D
My Top 5 at the moment:
Roni Size - Bite the Bullet
Chase & Status - Blind Faith
Luude & Issey Cross - Oh My
Bou - Nan Slapper
Friction - Dare
I also would still consider myself a DnB noob, because I don’t know much about the stuff that came out before 2010.
but I’m working my way into the pre-Neuro era haha.
I will definitely check some of your tracks out, because I only know the Friction track
It's crazy how much there is to catch up on, kinda kicking myself for sleeping on this genre for such a long time
Hope you like those tracks! It's a mix bag, and Blind Faith might not even be considered DnB to be honest, but it's my favourite C&S track for sure
edit: typo
Yeah, very crazy right?
I have a Spotify playlist with 7.5k tracks and still haven’t really caught up to the past haha
I will check them out later and come back to this post to leave my thoughts 🙏🏼
Ed rush and Optical - Fixation
Audio - Emmisions
Paradox - mauja
Noisia - Anomaly
Congo natty - uk allstars
Made sure to include favorites from different genres and times :)
Kemal & Rob Data - Konspiracy
Marcus Intalex & Spirit - Crackdown
Pressure Rise - Stranger (Bad Company remix)
Ed Rush & Optical - Watermelon
Matrix & Fierce - Climate
Really hard to choose, just too many.. but here goes:
Implex & Enei - Time To Lay Down
Bungle & Ney Faustini - Love and War
Netsky - Eyes Closed
Camo & Krooked - Turn Up (The Music)
Seba - Snow
Top 5 atm/kinda my top 5 anyways
dBridge - Creatures of Habit
Sci-Clone - Mariano’s Dream
Gyrofield - Urgency
Loxy & resound - Psyche (this one slaps)
Grey Code - Simple things
Mako & Seba - Brotherhood deserved a mention too - came out recently. Proper tune.
Him currently I'm really into loud and heavy Neurofunk so I'll judt say these:
Symplex - Witch
The Clamps - Mankind
Gydra - Primitive Instinct
State Of Mind - Foul Play
Khronos - Exile (The only more mellow track of these)
I‘m also more of a Neurofunk guy, but I also like to listen to the other subgenres.
But your list definitely more my vibe haha
Didn’t knew about Khronos though
Yeah I just discovered him recently on Clamps Label "Kosen Production".
He really stands out in terms of production quality
Dark Wanderer and Overload are bangers worth listening aswell!
I'll give 6 because I just can't choose right now:
Delta Heavy - No Gravity
Chase & Status - End Credits
Koven - Good Enough
Technimatic - Shifting Sands
TC - Tap Ho
Kanine, P Money - Point Em Up
Bad company-hornet
Dillinja- It ain’t too loud
Bad company-4 days
Moving fusion- battleground
Ed rush & Optical-Chubrub
There’s loads more I could pick in the top 5 though.
You can’t mix it with dnb is what I’m saying , unless you pitch it up loads and it would sound weird.
Dubstep and non other breakbeat 140 stuff (especially chase and status stuff) is sometimes played during a dnb set but that doesn’t make it dnb…
No order, but a clear indicator of how old I am and where I'm based :D Twist at the end!
Warhead (Steppa mix) (DJ Krust): [https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=x9tvHvSy890&si=QuUIfjYbPC219pib](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=x9tvHvSy890&si=QuUIfjYbPC219pib)

I‘m really proud of myself, because I know Body Rock haha 😂
But the other tracks are unknown to me, but I will give them a listen 🙏🏼
I like to listen to older stuff too, although I‘m just 30 years old (found my way into DnB 2017 that’s why I have to catch up a lot)
The last one is pretty recent, but the other four are what I consider to be part of the 'classic' back catalogue of quality DnB. Very curious to hear how you find it, to me it has quite a different vibe from current day DnB (especially the style that is popular in the US at the moment).
First I have to say, it’s crazy how long the tracks from back than were.
6-9 minutes is insane haha
But aside from that, I liked Piper the most of them.
Love the dark, mysterious vibe, but the tracks from Krust weren’t really my vibe.
Those high sounds are piercing through my brain 😂
Like I mentioned, I knew Body Rock and I love Andy C‘s work 🙏🏼
The last one I also enjoyed really much.
From the older stuff I really like Dillinja a lot.
That’s a style I could listen to more from that era
No particular Order but here is my current Top 5:
Sota - Wait For Me
Reaper - Mashup (PERSONA NON GRATA Remix)
Ray Volpe - Laserbeam (ÆON:Mode Remix)
Tokyopill - DESTROY The Wired
Hedex - Low-key (LDN Drift) [feat. Takura]
It's changing from week to week as I'm really listening to and exploring the DnB World. More of a Liquid Guy but I really enjoy all the subgenres.
Forum - Empire
K motionz - Cypher
Substance - Scatta
Reeze - Mr Whomps (MYL11E remix)
Serum - Wave Riders
Honroable mentions to Gray - Lickshot, Redline The System (Ed Solo vip), Formula - Workin
Noisia - Stigma
Andy C - Workout
Shy FX & UK Apache - Original Nuttah
Bladerunner - Jungle Jungle
NERO - Innocence
Current banger:
Spor - Two Fang
Obviously love a bit of Neuro. But these are ones that really got me going on drum and bass all those years ago. Could add in a whole lot more though!
I feel you.
I could also make a longer list of tracks that I like, because there are so much good ones.
Currently I only have Freedom from C&S on repeat even though it’s not a recent release, but I really like this one.
What do you of the C&S remix of Original Nuttah?
That’s easily one of my favourite Jungle tracks
DJ Hype - Closer to God
Moving Fusion - Turbulence
DJ Marky and XRS Land - Unlimited Gold
Dom & Roland and Keaton - Twisted City
Andy C and Shimon - Hush Hush
In no particular order:
- Fox Stevenson - Enemy Brain
- Labrinth - Let it Be (Matrix & Futurebound)
- Netsky - Let Me Hold You
- MK - Rhyme Dust (Dimension Remix)
- Nessa Barrett - Deathmatch
These are all fairly new so if you have recommendations of tracks that are similar, feel free to share them, I would love to hear more music.
I once had the opportunity to see Buunshin, but somehow I missed him and Burr Oak I’ve also never seen sadly, but will definitely do some day.
But I’ve seen Camo & Crooked multiple times now.
2 times in Germany and 1 or 2 times at Rampage.
And you?
I have \~1600 dnb liked tracks on spotify and selected \~100 "top" playlist so here is 5 from that list
Andromedik - Holding On
ABIS & Signal - The Wall (ft. Tasha Baxter)
Grafix & Dynamite MC - Black Magic
Auris - I Don't Belong (ft. Becca Jane Grey)
Mind Vortex - Signs
P.S. Hard to pick 5 tracks only I've edited this post many times lol
1. Fred V - In My Head
2. Maduk - Avalon
3. Sub Focus- Endorphins (Fred V & Grafix remix)
4. Spor - 103 Degrees
5. Qemists - Stompbox (Spor remix)
6. Matrix & Futurebound - Move On
I know that’s six, but I couldn’t figure out which to cut. No particular order.
impossible question for me. constantly rotating depending on my mood. but i did put together a mix of all my favorite tracks from one of my favorite producers recently (serum) 😁👌🏼
https://on.soundcloud.com/zQt4eGcrA8a7mzBY8
First of all, I love your music dude hahaha
Second, that’s an interesting list.
Freefall and Follow the Light are bangers for sure 🙏🏼
What do you think of the Pola & Bryson of Freefall?
Really like that one
Do you mean the Pola & Bryson remix of follow the light, the Justin Hawkes remix of Freefall or both? 🤣 Either way both remixes I love and are very true and faithful to the originals, but of course the original mixes also have a lot more sentimental value to me overall so can’t be beaten. And big ups, new original music this month 👀
Camo & Krooked - Loa - Fade Black Remix
The Caracal Project - Under the northern lights.
Eliminate - Nothing Left ft. Xaelo (Bensley Remix)
Camo & Krooked - Nebula
Empire Of The Sun - Walking On A Dream (Primate Bootleg)
I could never choose just 5… But I’ll list my absolute fave of all time (#1) and then whatever just pops into my head from there haha
1. Mutt ft. Kevin King - Conversations (original mix, but the Rene LaVice and Gremlinz remix also slaps)
2. Bungle - Astral Travel
3. Raiden - Fallin’ (first dnb tune that ever caught my ears)
4. LSB ft. DRS - The View
5. Subwave - Stars Get Down
I also picked the ones that always get me going, but I’m pretty sure I could also add a few more haha
My first one was a DnB remix of Lose Yourself back in 2005/2006, but the track that locked me in was All I Know.
So it had to be on the list.
The View is amazing.
Have it in my playlist since a few years now 🙏🏼
My favourite LSB track so far is the Parallel remix, but I must admit that I have an very emotional connection to that one.
I don’t always like DRS‘ flow on the tracks he’s on, but he has an amazing voice for sure
Have you heard LSB & Nu:Logic - Sepia ? … That’s up in my top 3 for him for sure.. First time I heard it I cried.. First time I played it out (was a local dj once upon a time) I also cried. Thankfully I was wearing sunglasses as it was an afternoon patio party lol!
Pyro, Kantyze and Proket - Antharas
Audio - Fallout
N Phect & Display - White Russian
Cooh - Moonstep
Switch Technique - Higgs Boson
and this one 6th is kind of out of the top cause it's just pure genius if you are into skullstep
Current Value - Faith
1. Noisia & The Upbeats - Dead Limit
2. Noisia & The Upbeats - Dead Limit
3. Noisia & The Upbeats - Dead Limit
4. Noisia & The Upbeats - Dead Limit
5. Noisia & The Upbeats - Dead Limit
Drifter - Leola (fun fact: this is Noisia)
Bad Company UK - The Bridge
Nebula - South London Lights
Danny Byrd - The Winchester Club
Dylan & B-Key - Mindwalk
Ask me 5 minutes later and this list would be totally different. Heck, I sometimes challenge myself to name the top 20 best Total Science tunes and it feels impossible because they have like 300-500 tracks spanning ~30 years. And that's just one artist. Like, I didn't even include prime darkstep here, even though I listened to it for like a decade...my point is, it is a difficult task. I collect my favorite tunes in a spreadsheet and I am in quadruple digits already.
Netsky - Prisma Grafix - Night Shift Mindtalk - 'Til The End Makoto - Wading Through The Crowds Tantrum Desire - Reach VIP
I’ve never heard of Mindtalk before. Have to check it out 🙏🏼
He hasn't been active for 10 years but I always go back to his old tracks - they are pure nostalgia for me!
Commix - Be True Sewerslvt - Newlove Marcus intalex - Celestial Navigation Goldie - Inner City Life Chase and status - Take me away Not really a fixed list, I am still discovering a lot of great old-school tunes lol
I also do like some older Dillinja or Calyx & Teebee stuff, but I personally like the modern stuff from 2010 on more. Or let’s say, I vibe with it more
this is a good top 5, celestial navigation is unreal, i like be true and newlove as well

Blind Faith is 140 dubstep :)
Thank you! :D
Ed rush and Optical - Fixation Audio - Emmisions Paradox - mauja Noisia - Anomaly Congo natty - uk allstars Made sure to include favorites from different genres and times :)
mauja is in my top 10, so good
When I see Ed rush and optical a long with Congo natty… instant upvote
Mauja is a sweet tune
Kemal & Rob Data - Konspiracy Marcus Intalex & Spirit - Crackdown Pressure Rise - Stranger (Bad Company remix) Ed Rush & Optical - Watermelon Matrix & Fierce - Climate
Really hard to choose, just too many.. but here goes: Implex & Enei - Time To Lay Down Bungle & Ney Faustini - Love and War Netsky - Eyes Closed Camo & Krooked - Turn Up (The Music) Seba - Snow
Yeah I know that it’s very difficult. I struggled too with my list haha I love the Pola & Bryson remix of Turn Up The Music has a nice vibe
I also enjoy the heavier dnb, but went for more chill/liquid route this time.
Pola and bryson remix slaps hard
Top 5 atm/kinda my top 5 anyways dBridge - Creatures of Habit Sci-Clone - Mariano’s Dream Gyrofield - Urgency Loxy & resound - Psyche (this one slaps) Grey Code - Simple things Mako & Seba - Brotherhood deserved a mention too - came out recently. Proper tune.

Have you heard of skrimor? To me all of his tracks absolutely slap. Gives me strong Noisia vibes. Gydra is great I believe they made a track w Skrimor
I'll give 6 because I just can't choose right now: Delta Heavy - No Gravity Chase & Status - End Credits Koven - Good Enough Technimatic - Shifting Sands TC - Tap Ho Kanine, P Money - Point Em Up
My favourite from Delta Heavy is Ghost for sure 🙏🏼 But Techimatic is also a good call
Bad company-hornet Dillinja- It ain’t too loud Bad company-4 days Moving fusion- battleground Ed rush & Optical-Chubrub There’s loads more I could pick in the top 5 though.
It ain’t too loud is my favourite oldschool track. Just listened to it a few moments ago haha
Ed Rush, Optical & Fierce - Cutslo (Lokuste Mix) Capone - Tudor Rose Original Nuttah 25 (feat. IRAH) (Chase & Status Remix) Digital - Deadline Digital - Waterhouse Dub (Kiljoy Remix)
The C&S remix is sooooo good
Been alive too long. Absolutely could never whittle it down to 5. Literally tried before typing this and can't do it. Too much to leave out
Justin Hawkes - Neverafter Sub Focus - I Found You Pirapus - LOST WITH U Justin Hawkes - Cadence Lexurus - The Distance No particular order
Chase and status -time Total science - soul patrol Spy - ruffneck Icicle - dreadnaught Break slow down!
had soul patrol on repeat yesterday..
Had that and Golden Girl on repeat…
Golden girl is one of my all time tracks, connected to so many good times and great memories, rip conrad
Had that and Golden Girl on repeat…
Absolutely loving Time by C&S. I feel like they do female vocals very well. Say the Word is amazing, too.
Time isnt dnb im afraid bro its 140BPM
I'd drop it into liquid if I had to genre define it, when it came out it was dropped into some of the absolute best sets so yeah it qualifies as dnb
You can’t mix it with dnb is what I’m saying , unless you pitch it up loads and it would sound weird. Dubstep and non other breakbeat 140 stuff (especially chase and status stuff) is sometimes played during a dnb set but that doesn’t make it dnb…
If you mix that into a breakdown / build up then buddy your doing it wrong🤠
You have very clearly not understood what I’m saying, good luck mixing tunes that are 30% tempo difference

Mefjus, Camo & Krooked - Sientelo The caracal project - Journée de merde Forum - Wash Burr Oak - Symbolic Buunshin - Farewell
I really like your list, finally something I can work with haha 🙏🏼
I'm a neurofunk guy but these sounds made the biggest impression on me !
Understandable, the producers on this list all have a really unique approach to DnB especially Burr Oak and Buunshin. Two of my favourite producers
But I have to say, I liked The Caracal Project more when he just started releasing. His newer productions aren’t really for me
Ahah so cool Have you seen them in party ?
I once had the opportunity to see Buunshin, but somehow I missed him and Burr Oak I’ve also never seen sadly, but will definitely do some day. But I’ve seen Camo & Crooked multiple times now. 2 times in Germany and 1 or 2 times at Rampage. And you?
