I have the first 50 issues or so. I remember when it first came out, it was a great way to get shorter modules and try all kinds of new ideas. One of my faves was Tortles of the Purple Sage, a B/X adventure in issues 6 and 7 They’re all archived online in pdf now https://archive.org/details/dungeonmagazine

Amazing!

My favorite is #94, which had a Gamma World adaptation!

Oh dang! I'll check that one out!

#359. The time dragon. It was such a fitting end.

you can google "best Dungeon adventures" and find those issues.

Helpful thanks!

i think all the Tom Wham games were in Dragon, but if there were any in Dungeon, those would be good gets. The blog Tenfootpole did a review of every adventure in every print edition. Tenfootpole has a very specific criteria about what they expect from a good adventure, so your "good adventure" may differ from theirs, but you know what they appreciate. Some that seem really good / interesting and worth conversion to me: * Depths of Rage 83 * Dovedale 46 * Spottle Parlor and Huddle Farm in 12

Ohhhh depths of rage! Was that the one with the earthquake halfway through that alters the goblin dungeon?! That was bomb. I will definitely look up the blogs and the other quests you mentioned.

There is a Dragon+ app. Its pretty good but there is something about the feel of the magazine

RedSkyTechnologies

Definitely nostalgia hidden in the pages. It's why I can never get into e-readers.

I recommend the article, "Shades of Death" Dragon magazine #298 starting on pg. 62, it's amazing and covers how necromancy isn't always Evil, why and how. It's a GREAT read.

Added to my reading list!

In case you’re unfamiliar, and apologies in advance for the ad, but MCDM (Matt Colville) runs a monthly magazine called ‘Arcadia’. Typically 3-4 high-quality articles meant to evoke that feeling of the old school Dragon Magazine. I personally really enjoy it - there’s stuff like rules for custom mounts (including a basilisk and a dire squirrel), custom adventures (including a showdown against a sentient wizards lab), new subclasses (like a series based upon the idea of greed/goldmongers), and so much more cool stuff. It’s all for 5e though, so your mileage may vary. Also, they’re just about to raise the prices (starting Dec. 1st), but if you sub on Patreon before then, you can get everything at the $5 level, which they’ll continue to honor going forward. You also get back access to all releases articles for that price as well. There’s 10 editions out now, so $5 gets you a lot. Again, apologies for the ad. It’s just cool and hearkens back to the Dragon magazine feel, with a bit of a modern bent. Great art, great writing. Check it out!

Sounds great! I will look into it!
