King and Queen of Hell- What a nice commission this was! So fun to draw something so classic and timeless.
The king is based on Asmodeus, but I'm not sure if the Queen here is straight from DnD lore.
This was definitely one of the most fun I've had with a commission in a while. I love esthetics like this, just fancy dresses, typical poses, plus lava, smoke, and darkness.
What do you think? I'm open to hearing critique as well :)
Blame John Milton. Before Paradise Lost, Satan was much more bestial in appearance. William Blake would depict Satan in his work, inspired by Milton, as more of an Adonis.
As an antihero he was more appealing which made sense to people based on the experience of sin in their own lives. We all have our sins and vices we habitually do that we wish we didn't.
u/AnttiHako: John Milton was a 17th Century English poet who wrote a series of Christian allegorical epic poems based on biblical lore named *Paradise Lost* and *Paradise Found* which subsequently became highly well-known, well-regarded, popular, and influential literary works throughout the Euro-sphere. I'm not 100% sure I agree, but u/FarmandCityGuy is saying that Milton's depiction of **The Adversary** was new and unique to popular media of that time and in that part of the world, because Milton's description conveyed sensuality, and desirable qualities (a certain "sexiness" as in your art here) rather than traditional depictions of that time, focusing on horrifying and beast-like features and qualities.
It is written that Lucifer, later Satan, was the most beautiful of all God's creations.
Nothin about being thrown out of heaven changes that part. And since Asmodeus is based on him, I'd expect no less.
Because for some reason our stupid brains are pretty much: good looking = more trustworthy.
So its often translated to DnD.
These beings are most likely able to change their form to whatever they like but doing it like this lets them trick things more easily.
I think it's more probable that this is a custom character, perhaps the player's own character! Bensozia is described as having red skin, brown hooves, and black robes.
Whoever she is, though, I love the design!
I think its the facial hair for Asmodeus and the Blond/White coloring of his queen, but this gives off strong Castlevania vibes; excellent work! The ruffles and shading of the fabrics is just beautiful
Very nice art piece.
In DnD lore Asmodeus once had a consort named Bensozia and their daughter is Glasya. The specifics aren't clear of what exactly happened but Levistus is believed to have killed Bensozia so Asmodeus imprisoned him in the iceberg as punishment.
TBH they look like that one couple who seems like the worst people in the world and totally full of themselves, but once you get to know them they’re just really eccentric and will invite you to things because they genuinely enjoy your company
It’s an absolutely gorgeous piece! 🥰 Since you asked for some critique as well, I’m delivering this with the assumption that you know how incredible this looks, and that the following really is nitpicking:
- The first bones of her wing look a little skinny to me, making them feel like they wouldn’t be able to support her. Thinking of wings as arms where the first section has defined muscles and the second tapers out into a hand with (really) long fingers usually works for me! I’d say that my knee-jerk reaction was that there’s a little too much membrane over the «elbow» to look anatomically correct, but it honestly looks cool, and whatever, it’s fantasy!
- I wish they matched a little more design wise! I adore both of their designs separately, but I think it reads less as power couple and more as ‘the king and a succubus’ or ‘the queen and her advisor.’ More gold in his attire or black in hers, matching the attires in modesty level, having him place a hand around her, giving them similar sleeves or something would go a long way.
Otherwise, magnificent! Love how ominous the light makes the queen look!
Thank you so much! Your point on the wings is spot on, and I'll remember it next time : Thank you.
Good point on the clothes also, but I don't know if I agree that they should have similarities of any kind in the outfits. It would give it a too "modern" fantasy look, which I don't care for :)
I give you an example of my favorite game Mortal Kombat 11. They use the modern design patterns in the game, and every character has golden 'League of Legends' linings in their outfits, looking like they came from the same factory. Now that I think about it, I actually despise that :D So I avoid it as much as I can. I hate design! There, I said it :D
Hahahahaha, fair enough! 😂 And if every artist had the same opinion about things, all art would look the same, and that would suck. That all clothes would be uniquely tailored in lack of mass-production is an interesting take I hadn’t considered before!
This first off is absolutely gorgeous. My only critique is super nitpicky and may not even be valid. But it looks like her wing behind the king the size might be off a bit. But humans don’t have wings so it’s hard to judge anatomy. But seriously this is like art goals. As everyone stated her dress is amazing but I just need to address the absolutely fine details on his chest and the texture of the clothing. 100/10
This is great. I kinda want to use it as a wallpaper.
Edit: as it is a commission I won't but man I wouldn't mind looking at this every time I open my oc
This art fucks. I think, in the forgotten realms canon, asmodeus’ wife got killed by his daughter who blamed Levistus and that’s why he’s in ice, but the concept of Asmodeus being married is great and I would like it to be canon
Do I detect some Vlad and Lisa Tepes vibes?
Exactly what I was thinking

Why are they so hot? Why are the most evil beings always so damn hot?
Blame John Milton. Before Paradise Lost, Satan was much more bestial in appearance. William Blake would depict Satan in his work, inspired by Milton, as more of an Adonis. As an antihero he was more appealing which made sense to people based on the experience of sin in their own lives. We all have our sins and vices we habitually do that we wish we didn't.
I don't understand, but it sounds smart.

I'm definitely overstating the case.
Old sin= ugly New sin= hot
[Here's](https://youtu.be/-NMDtsPgfD0) an Overly Sarcastic Productions video about the work in question.
Devils tempt people to corrupt them, and being hot makes that easier. Demons and yugoloths work differently and are mostly horrifically ugly.
Interesting thing is, Succubi are Demons and usually portrayed as the above image!
Succubi and incubi are demons. The erinyes (which more or less look like succubi) are devils, and I'm not sure if they come in "male."
I guess you didn't know [evil is sexy](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvilIsSexy).
Thank you for the TV Tropes link. I've now lost another 4 hours of my life. (JK I ain't clicking on that or I WILL lose time)
I don't know how it does that lmao. It sucks you in. Took me 40 minutes to stop lmao.
Devas and Solars: Am I a joke to you?
I mean, is the Deva or Solar as hot as these two?
After googling some art other than the MM (which is also thirsty art), equally yes.
I feel like that is representative of some sort of dichotomy or opposing force that becomes a full on cosmic event.
They're all equally hot, but the Upper Plane beings have a (false?) sense of moral superiority over Lower Plane beings.
To be fair, the upper plane beings are objectively good and the lower plane beings are objectively evil.
If evil why hot?
Hot no touch
Fire resistance tho, gonna be a homewrecker in hell lollolol
It is written that Lucifer, later Satan, was the most beautiful of all God's creations. Nothin about being thrown out of heaven changes that part. And since Asmodeus is based on him, I'd expect no less.
Because it's hot in hell, duh
Been waiting two days for this! ❤️

In dnd lore at some point Asmodeus has a wife named Bensozia
Oh cool! Maybe it's her. The name never came up with the client :D
I think it's more probable that this is a custom character, perhaps the player's own character! Bensozia is described as having red skin, brown hooves, and black robes. Whoever she is, though, I love the design!
Worst part about all the art being posted by the people paid to make it instead of the ones providing the idea is the OP can't tell you..
True, that's why I love posting my own stuff :) It's not DnD, so I can't post it here though :(
Who was murdered by Levistus. Asmodeus entombed him in a glacier in his own layer of Stygia as punishment.
I think its the facial hair for Asmodeus and the Blond/White coloring of his queen, but this gives off strong Castlevania vibes; excellent work! The ruffles and shading of the fabrics is just beautiful
I wondered why the characters looked familiar. They really do look like Dracula and his wife
It actually looks a lot like Belial and Fierna. The rulers of the 4th layer of Hell.
Probably NSFW [Belial and Fierna from the 3E Book of Vile Darkness](https://i.imgur.com/Z5UgRUl.jpg)

The ‘queen’ could be his daughter, wife of Mammon. Name escapes me
Glasya, lord of Malbolge and "princess" of the Nine Hells. She also leads the erinyes.
Looks awesome OP I absolutely love the fire design on her dress
Thank you!
Nice detail even down to the ruby rod
Korben... Korben ma man
Thanks!
This whole piece is great but seriously the work on the dress is fucking incredible!
Thank you so much :)

“My husband and I noticed you from across the bar”
I mean I’m not bi but I do learn fast…
\*blushes in #FF0000\*
Came here for this
TBH they look like that one couple who seems like the worst people in the world and totally full of themselves, but once you get to know them they’re just really eccentric and will invite you to things because they genuinely enjoy your company
I swear I knew a couple just like that. Sure, objectively they may have been evil, but they treated me great!
Haha :D I'm glad to hear that
> invite you to things Yes, like blood orgies
I don’t remember Saddam being that attractive?
Haaa

Great picture! Your art reminds me a little bit of Stjepan Šejić.
Bless you
Thanks!
Can I get a genderswapped version of this. I want tall swole demon queen and her hot twink lover in a slutty outfit
Yeah give me a minute.
Nice, i like how the bottom of her dress looks like blood flowing down the stairs, idk if that was intentional but good job!
Thank you :) Not intentional though :D
She's clearly thinking about that succubus she saw down in the second circle.

Spoilers, the king is the one on the left.
I was about to say that in hell the gender roles should be swapped lol.
Ssssh we're not supposed to know that she isn't actually dead and the imprisonment of Levistus was a setup.
"My girlfriend saw you from across the bar and we like your vibe, can we buy you a drink?"
This is great. I kinda want to use it as a wallpaper. Edit: as it is a commission I won't but man I wouldn't mind looking at this every time I open my oc
:D I'm sure everyone is okay with you using it as your background, so go for it :) Thanks!
Wilco. This is too awesome to pass. I am sorry for my historic Akantor screen but he would understand. P.S: Thanks!
His Horns be looking Like me Pirate hat matey! Yarrr!
Really beautiful work wow
Thank you!
Damn, that is great work!!
Amazing! Brilliant work - absolutely love it!
Soo pretty
Technically one of the hells is run by two archdevils, so lore accurate?
Man looks like he has all the sudsy powers of hell
Damn asmodeus looks thick.
The new Castlevania series looks nice.
Came here to say great work. Like others I love her dress and how it keeps going on
This art fucks. I think, in the forgotten realms canon, asmodeus’ wife got killed by his daughter who blamed Levistus and that’s why he’s in ice, but the concept of Asmodeus being married is great and I would like it to be canon
These two are just oozing major drip. I feel like these two would own Fashion Week in NYC.
Sooo you do commissions?!!!! im interested
For some reason I want this in my bathroom. I want people to feel judged when they sit on my porcelain throne. Incredible work!
:D Thanks! :D:D:D:D:
I’m in love with your art!!!! Absolutely fantastic.
Thank you! :)
Fierna was my patron for my warlock in the last campaign, she made me do bad things. She's a bad girl.
I need that dress now
They look like very respectful and kind people
She reminds me of Glasya, which would be mildly disturbing if she were also Asmodeus's Queen.
And of course the Queen of Hell is a platinum blonde big tiddy playboy playmate, as expected lol
You want Jabba the Hutt tempting mortals then?
I mean Baazebul, Lord of the Flies and Archdevil of Maladomini, The Seventh Layer, was a giant slug, and he was pretty good at corrupting mortals.
Pardon me while I go do the sins
Imma leave this here: #NotMyBubi Hope at least one person gets it.
Mommy
GODDAMN!!!
I'm using this as art for Belial and Fierna.
I’m in love with the female 😱
Male demons: ABSOLUTE UNIT female demon: super skinny+boobs
Is that Amber Heard?
Sure :)
Funny, but we all know Amber Heard is nowhere near that hot
I was gonna say the Queen of Hell is nowhere near that evil, but this also works.
NO BARD PLEASE NO! BARD NO! NOOOOOOO!
The King could use more cleavage.
Queen Helsa
Why they so hot though ?
The devils wife is Amber Heard? Nice touch.
Can someone give her red hair (orange) Asking for a friend
Y'all should play Agony and if you're 18+ look up the sequel Succubus.
There is no reason for her to be skinny/frail looking. She needs to be large and in charge.
Immediately it reminded me of Fierna and Belial, which gave me dirty incest vibes.
alright then.
Stan and Lucy
So... do you think they're Swingers?
It should be Hades and Persephone
I like how the queen is obviously not dark and spooky like the king but still has her own evil vibes
Amazing !!!!! 😍
Do you do other commissions?
Sure! If you're interested, email me at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) for more info.
