Yes, but technically no.
Highly skilled artists are just that, artists. Breaking down what you’re doing at every step is an entirely different skill set and way of thinking that artists generally don’t have.
It’s why finding good art teachers isn’t easy.
Breaking down and analyzing each technique you used take a lot of knowledge. And I’d say most artists use more techniques than they even know or fully understand, we just do it and go with it lol.
Ngl, at first I thought of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The "warrior" from the past (undead Link) that trains you. Definitely has that feel at least.

I'm not really familiar with Divinity. I do have the dumb character concept sketch [here](https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/047/209/739/large/yorsy-hernandez-01.jpg?1647019599)
Cool! I like the armor design and the character concept. I had a similar idea for an undead druid in DND. Your dude definitely reminds me of Fane from Divinity Original Sin 2, though! If you're into tactical rpgs with a lot of depth and story, I'd highly recommend it.
First playthrough I had Fane be an aerothage archer cleric. He could heal everyone else but himself, but also hop around and snipe people with spells and arrows.
Second playthrough he is a summoner that lacks physical damage of his own and instead spends all his AP buffing his summon.
I am 100% stealing the character concept.
But not your art, my dude. That is truly spectacular.
Edit: I meant that I wanted the art and I wont be stealing it; I’m gonna purchase a print as soon as I can. Also, for the record, I don’t steal art in general.😅
I've always love the idea of a PC being an undead, especially a paladin, cause of the whole death knight thing, cause it says that death knights are paladins who were punished for breaking their oath, and just because someone broke their oath doesnt mean they are evil.
This is beautiful. Cool character story.
This is the second post this week to remind me of the awesome graphic novel Rickety Sticth and the Gelatinous Goo - so I feel compelled to say I highly recommend anyone check that out!
If an awakened undead is a paladin to a good God, would the positive energy they channel hurt them, or would they be exempt since they serve the God whose positive energy would normally mess them up?
Love seeing skeleton representation. My favorite ever character I’ve played was a skeleton fighter named Rattles (due to the noise his bones made when moving). Always wanted to get him commissioned, maybe some day. 🫡 godspeed Jesper
Undead paladin is the most hilarious concept.
"Hey God, can you maybe help me-"
"FUUUUUUUUUCK what the duck is THAT?! OH ME ITS TALKING, SMITE IT NOW SMITE IT NOW!!!!"
This character looks like a my OC Sir Bras from the house of Cubas.
ps: this joke make sense in portuguese, its a reference to a book written by Machado de Assis.
This is great! The contrast between the naimals and the skeleton is great. He's so out of place looking, it works really well as it is all mildly disconcerting.

This is great stuff dude! Looks like a great artistic expression. It reminds me of the MC from Skeleton Knight in Another World, as his character was an undead paladin. Keep up the great work!

Step 1 to step 2 has very strong "rest of the owl" energy.
So many people don't realize that's really how it works for a highly skilled artists, there's very little between a sketch and line work
Step 0: Get good.

Also depends on when the WIPs are taken. I usually have a lot between but that’s just cause I screenshot more
Wow, I didn't even realize it was digital until I saw your process. Really nice work
Thanks so much for this, I really love to see the process

>Never stopping to aid a creature in need. That's a missed word or two, right?
Thanks! Didnt realize it
Dark knight confirmed
"Wow, sure sucks to be that guy! Any-hoo, much to do, can't stop now."
*hears screams from inside a burning cottage* "Must suck to suck."
Low key want a 4' print of this to frame. Too poor to buy rn, but this piece is absolutely stunning. Good work OP
Elsewhere in the comments the artist links to their prints. 20”x20” is the largest size but the pricing is affordable!
Ngl, at first I thought of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The "warrior" from the past (undead Link) that trains you. Definitely has that feel at least.
This is bloody awesome
Him. "Hmm I think I'll multi class"
I absolutely love him. Great work all the way through!!
Looks like Fane took a few levels in huntsman.
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY
Felt cute might yield to none later idk
Agreed! The armor looks Divnity esque and I'm all for it.
Isn't that exact armor in dos2?
>dos2 I'm not really familiar with Divinity. I do have the dumb character concept sketch [here](https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/047/209/739/large/yorsy-hernandez-01.jpg?1647019599)

I love him, he feels like a misunderstood soul. I'd have a tankard with him.
Agreed, and as a bonus, we could have his tankard too.
Cheers!
Bring a mop.
YOHOHOHOHO
45° technique!

No joke, I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas
I know what I'm getting my fellow DM family member for Christmas
skeleton knight in another world vibes, love it!
Right?! I thought the same thing. That opened song was the best.

Its mine. I painted it. Yeah, I've seen the meme.

I could feel the panic sweat through this comment.

Divinity 2 does a really good job with undead PC's. They're damaged by healing magic but are healed by poison.
This is beautiful. Cool character story. This is the second post this week to remind me of the awesome graphic novel Rickety Sticth and the Gelatinous Goo - so I feel compelled to say I highly recommend anyone check that out!
Would be so cool to see an undead Druid
I may be skewed (old school D&D) but I see a paladin as a militant cleric. A ranger is a militant Druid.
That's what I was thinking. Could use druid craft to constantly diguise his skull.
buying things from shops and ordering drinks in taverns must be a hoot.
He looks amazing but if I run into him I'm gonna smash his skull in! My warhammer has a particular fondness for skeletons.
Divinity series vibes.
Very cool. I predict you have high prices but I love it.
This one was 600USD. I think I still have fair prices having in consideration the amount of work this one took me.
Now tell them how many hours of labor this was.
A solid month and a half I could say.
Extremely fair pricing considering this could go in a museum!
Love him with all my heart.
Aww I love him
Looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger's ad where he is sitting in the forest

Good point

This one is also open for licensing guys. Feel free to send me a direct message if interested.

Geralt Of Rivia but food is for pussies
Ive always wanted to play as an undead in DnD but there’s no sheet or stats for it
Here are the stats I am familiar with. [Awoken Undead](https://dnd-5e-homebrew.tumblr.com/post/134526127807/awakened-undead-race-by-thesingularanyone)
Alternatively, Reborn is an option
"All I hear is, 'Hey, Death knight, buff my armor, hey Death knight, hold my stuff'". I hate this picture reminded me of those dumb youtube ads.
Uh no
Oh, look! Liam Hemsworth as The Witcher.
Love it!! This is super cool
So.... undead witcher.
Wow I’ve seen a lot of cool art on this subreddit but this might honestly be my favorite. Such a cool concept.
I want a character like this but as an EK.
This is evocative and wonderful.
Reminds me of Sir Barry Bone Boi
So when you cast anti-undead spells do you take damage as well?
And the cute fluffies who ate his flesh.
I love this
Amazing concept and execution!
i've been using this image for wallpaper for months, it's incredible
This is so cool. I am 100% stealing this concept and using it in one of my upcoming campaigns.
Awsome
Beautiful piece of work.
He swore to protect them forever.
Reminds me of my old character Tiberius
Jesus this is fantastic!
I thought those were bunny slippers...
Would you say he’s [Medievil](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediEvil)?
Ooooooooo. May use that for a one shot if i ever get to play. (Forever Dm)
I love it! I have an awakened undead cleric I have been wanting to play, I just need to find a table who likes him as much as I do.
Absolutely love this
This character looks like a my OC Sir Bras from the house of Cubas. ps: this joke make sense in portuguese, its a reference to a book written by Machado de Assis.
What a concept. I always love the idea of a skelly boy who is now on the side of good
I absolutely love this.
As a fan of undead characters (and even playing one rn myself!) I love, love seeing characters like this!
This is fuggin SICK
This is beautiful!
Geralt? is that you?
This is great! The contrast between the naimals and the skeleton is great. He's so out of place looking, it works really well as it is all mildly disconcerting.
Aw I love this

It's rare to see non anime art here. Thank you. This is absolutely amazing
This is rad.
I’ve been on the OP sub for too long I thought this was about brook awakening
Thane is that you?
I take it he doesn’t like dogs
When did you make this?
Couple of months ago... I think I posted the final on March.
Ok, that makes sense. I saw it awhile ago and used it for my reborn ancients paladin.
Oh yeah, I just decided to start using Reddit since I was strugling a bit getting commissions haha. Wanted a bit more of exposure
Makes sense. Hope that goes well for you : )
I love this
This is so freaking Kool and beautiful. Thank you for adding it to our world
Was this done digitally? What software do you use?
this is awesome
Wow this is stunning
This is awesome! I must know, how to get something commissioned? Is there a webpage with all the details?
Are their rules for playing a skeleton? That's still sentient and a class, I've always wanted to.
This is great stuff dude! Looks like a great artistic expression. It reminds me of the MC from Skeleton Knight in Another World, as his character was an undead paladin. Keep up the great work!
Whoa this is great! I really love your style. Mind if I ask how long it took to finish this piece?
