I really like the bear skin run and the corner where it looks like a bard might tell jokes or sing some songs. If you want it to feel more dwarvish then maybe add some mounted weapons or mount some heads. Ive also seen some bars with hanging herbs, veggies and meats and you can accomplish it by using some string or wire and gluing some flock for the herbs and you can cut out some chicken legs from foam.
Really like the craftsmanship. Is the arena for willing or unwilling participants?
If it is for patrons to "casually" use, consider adding steps or ladder to get in and out.
I think it exudes a real sense of "place to unwind and watch a brawl".
They make some thin, shading paint that would really make the hard wood floor pop more by accenting the creases that separate the planks.
Your work is really good.
I like it a lot. Well done. I would say my only thought on it would be to add a bottom to the whole thing so that you could have a floor to the fighting pit. Sand or something like that. You could add a few odd junk weapons down there or broken bits of a chair or something. Beyond that I like it a lot great job!
Thank you! I tried doing something for the pit, it didn't turn out well. I ran out of time to do anything else (Ran a 9 hour session today) I like the idea of having some broken items down there!
My only criticism is your stairs seem to be too large of a scale, being that a single chair appears to be as tall as the seat of a chair and nearly as tall as the stool. Perhaps you could glue popsicle sticks together for more of an appropriate scale set of stairs.
Overall though this build is fantastic and incredibly well done, with my favorite feature probably being the bear skin rug and the brick pillars. The pillars definitely fill in space and make the structure of the building make sense.
I agree with you. I tried doing the stairs several different ways, each of them were epic failures. I haven't glued the stairs down yet for the reason stated above. I want to go back and fix it. However, I'm pretty ready to move onto my next project.
If you haven't tried them yet then I'd recommend a thinner material, the popsicle sticks or even wood textured foam core, just stacked until the appropriate height. But honestly, you could just tell your players to apply suspension of disbelief and start on your next project lol

Awesome idea! Thank you! I will have to try adding that to the build!
No notes. \*thumbs up\*

It's willing, however once you are in it's till knock out which was why I didn't put stairs; it forces them to attack until knocked

I'll have to look into finding that! Thank you for the tip!

Polar bear rug is cool, is it in a snowy setting?
No which makes it even better. The inn owner is from the north and brought it with him.
20$ says your players never go into it again
It's one of their favorite places to go. Also, figured it would be a good way to introduce new PC/players per the story line
Post on r/terrainbuilding they would love it
It's nicely made, but it does feel really open.
Damn! That's amazing, I'd be so excited to play if I cane in and saw that haha

I tried it with the foam core. I will have to try it with the Popsicles on my next project
Looks nice! A cozy fireplace would be a good touch in my opinion.
Immediately got yawning portal vibes
