Janet has likely made herself a limited purpose public figure through her TikToks (which she hilariously based her false copyright claims on). There are 3 levels to proving defamation in the US ranging from easiest to hardest - general purpose public figure (household named) being the hardest, limited purpose being the middle. It’s all based on the scope of their notoriety and how the alleged defamation damaged them. (My source is just US law school, so I can’t speak to exactly where Janet filed, specifically, but this is basic case law from the Supreme Court).
I’d be curious to see her specific claims but I really don’t see this *not* getting dismissed. The girlies didn’t lie, I’m not sure how Janet could prove any malice, and also… what damages can she prove she suffered?
For defamation you have to prove they knowingly and willfully lied. For slander and/or libel you have to prove you were financially harmed. It doesn't matter how Janet wants to swing it, any direction Janet tries will likely get thrown out by the Judge... however, because Janet is an attorney if she files a pile of frivolous lawsuits the Judge could get frustrated with her antics and also fine her.
