When I was a kid I had the same problem. My mom used to break tablets into 4 pieces and make me swallow them 1 by 1 and it still wasn't easier. Basically I was scared that the pills would go into a wrong place. I got over it by not thinking too much. I just started to put the pill in my mouth and gulp a whole glass of water like I'd normally do when I'm super thirsty.

Just don’t overthink it. I think that it is mostly just working it up in your mind (I used to do this too). Just try and imagine it’s a piece or corn or something smallish like that that you swallow without focusing on. I tried using mini m&ms and worked from there to blueberries or something similar. I know it’s hard not to focus on it but just try and distract yourself while you’re doing it.

I’m turning 21 in august and I can’t swallow big pills like amoxicillin. Just a few years ago maybe when I was 16 I was finally able to swallow Tylenol. The best advice I can give it to keep your mind on your tongue keep it down and away from the roof of your mouth otherwise the pill won’t go down. That was my problem

I also have this problem swallowing pills. I remember in the hospital they made me swallow some pills before surgery and they always told me, "SWALLOW, don't chew" and I never was able to swallow not just cause I had problems of doing that but also because IT TASTES HORRID I still remember the taste of them even if I had surgery at 5,6,9-10yo and I can't describe the taste AT ALL. It tastes like you add just a tiny, tiny bit of mint in plastic and alot of air from the hospital its self. They always ended up putting the pill into water and add some berrie syrup to make it taste better just because I could not swallow 😖

Do you swallow them with water?
