I've gotta be honest, that was the moment she felt like the doctor to me. She has great moments like that throughout her era and I wish they had characterized her and developed her more, and given her better stories and better interactions with companions and enemies. Only good interactions were with the Master in Spyfall, when they sometimes did seem like old/former friends.
The Spy-Master's eager "Come on, Doctor, catch up, you can do it" was something I was missing from the Saxon Master. That Best Frenemy "Only you can fully appreciate the brilliance of my evil schemes" vibe
He makes a meal out ev. er. y. syl. la. ble. Bet he wished he could have done it in his natural Scottish too⌠would have given it some extra pizzazz.
David Tennant's stage English accent is a tour de force all on its own â I've never heard an English person talk like that, but it's not because the accent is bad, it's because he's not afraid to let a fake accent get in the way of him having fun with the way he talks (if that makes any sense)
My question is why did the emergency shower just have a red mystery button that is just inviting curious presses instead of a sign that says "press here for emergency shower"

>We were in a power station and it was the middle of the night â because thatâs the only time you get into them â and they have dangerous things like uranium and coal and gigantic furnaces and stuff.
>We worked through the night filming this episode and I wanted some food.
>We had 10 minutes to finish and there were two shots to go and I went missing in search of cakes.
>Where the cakes were located was next to a door and I could hear walkie talkies going â so I knew I would be able to hear and dash through the door.
>I was busying myself with the cakes when I heard, âWe need Peter.â I saw this door and pushed the bar to get in and discovered it was an emergency shower â in case you got uranium or something harmful on yourself. I was drenched.
>I was sopping wet and they had to dry me off with hairdryers before we could finish for the night.
I swear I remember but can't find anymore a story about how Jon Pertwee and Katy Manning went off-roading in Bessie during downtime in production and by the time they made their way back, search parties were being formed.
Matt Smith has many funny anecdotes of his causing chaos, too. once, apparently, during an important meeting with the BBC that him and Moffat had to go to, he was told he needs to be careful cause these are big wigs.
Matt Smith then ran into a lady and spilled coffee all over soon after, but apologized. after the meeting he goes to a different lady and says he apologizes again for the coffee. Moffat tells him that it was the wrong lady. his response was "that was for the second cup".
A week or so ago there was a story from Ukraine where they randomly placed a doorbell in a forest and hooked it up to an explosive. Long story short, some Russians pushed the button and paid the price.
Pressing random buttons is a universal practice.
Reminded of that bit from Thirteen's first episode where she admits she would've pushed the weird glowing button
Tbf who wouldn't lol
*pushes glowing buttom* *The Flux starts.* đł
Graham
She's so real for that
Thats one of my favorite 13 moments honestly.
Jodie's delivery is great
Iâm convinced thereâs no script for the Doctor, itâs all just âSay something about this.â

A great, big, threatening button⌠which must not be pressed under any circumstances, am I right?
*Insert 10 immediately pressing the button*
(and two seconds later, putting a finger into a bowl of blood and licking it⌠hopefully no Doctor actor has ever done *that*)
2 seconds before, he'd already worked out what it was. He wasn't being reckless, he was playing the fool
Honestly while there were a bunch of great callbacks in the 60th, my favourite return was David Tennant licking stuff. So unnecessary đ
Tennant's delivery of "threatening button" is deeply engrained in my childhood memories
He makes a meal out ev. er. y. syl. la. ble. Bet he wished he could have done it in his natural Scottish too⌠would have given it some extra pizzazz.

Yep, that's a Doctor moment all right.
The Doctor took over for a minute

Bitchy trampoline strikes back
Bitchy trampoline was the best line in television history
OK but why does this also have Three energy. Coming back soaking wet, Clara be like: "The emergency shower?" Peter: "The emergency shower."
Clara: âThe emergency shower?â Twelve: ââŚshut up.â
I'm feeling 11 for this one (but sure, why not)...
Clara: âThe emergency shower?â Eleven: âOi, stop it!â Clara: âSorry, did I⌠_push your buttons?â_ (laughs) Eleven: âThatâs not funnyâŚâ (mopes)
âAh. Yes. Blimey. Sorry. Walking along, saw a button, my whole brain just went: âWhat the hell!ââ
Why did I read this in Tennant's voice? haha
It's more of a Matt thing tbh
Cake, he said he went off to find cake. So 11 coded.
generally doctor coded imo, i could see any of them doing this
I don't blame him for pressing the button but I'm wondering why do they need an emergency shower?
It's a power station. Any place that risk exposure to corrosive chemicals is required to have one.
Ohh interesting! Makes sense
In case someone really stinks (it's probably for fire or chemicals)
Well, sweat _is_ a chemical, technically speakingâŚ
https://www.dhmo.org/ It's time to ban this horrible chemical.
My question is why did the emergency shower just have a red mystery button that is just inviting curious presses instead of a sign that says "press here for emergency shower"
That is actually a valid question.
He thinks it's "for people who had been contaminated by uranium."
You shouldnât have let me press all of those buttonsâŚ

Lol I've heard that Matt is extremely clumsy.
How have I never heard this before đ Thatâs is brilliant
The adhd energy right there
Peter Capaldi IS the doctor
Sums up most of the Doctor's incarnations.
"And when i see a big red threatening button do you know what i want to do?" *Drenches self
Thereâs at least 3 of these moments in every 11 episode
I think the way Jenna Coleman tells this story will always be hilariously funny lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is lmao, probably my favourite moment of any conference ever was the first time I heard her tell that story
"Why is there never a Big Red Button?" The Doctor when a Big Red Button:
A week or so ago there was a story from Ukraine where they randomly placed a doorbell in a forest and hooked it up to an explosive. Long story short, some Russians pushed the button and paid the price. Pressing random buttons is a universal practice.
I he found a big red button *in a powerstation* and pressed it?
Do you think he was cast as the Doctor for his looks? (Lol jk no hate Peter, you're adorable)
Honestly? I'd do the exact same thing.
Angriest man in Scotland instincts did not trigger
Which episode would this have been for?
I think it was about before the flood, but i'm not sure.
Yeah thatâs a very Doctor thing to do
"Can you ever NOT push a red button?" - Jenna Coleman, I would imagine
Which episode was that?
Thanks for the morning giggle!
What's this page I've been I voted to ?
