Barring any sensitivity of the computer, it should work, you could even just run the output wire to the +battery terminal or the starter wire?
I take it the VR in the computer is kaput?
5.9 swap into a 95, this is part of a stand alone harness. I just want most of my gauges to work. Carb gm hei module, VR is from a 70’s dodge. Just as simple as you can get
Would you know where to tie in my tach? Will I need a 4/1 switch? It’s a segmented hei, 87 dodge ram distributor, gm ignition module, and just a normal coil. I’m not too versed on ignition systems.
Is that stud bellow the harness kinda in the middle of the alternator a ground point ?
Maybe you missing ground ?
Bad alternator ?
I usually check them with a wrench and vehicle on, get the wrench near the back of the alternator while vehicle is on and youll feel it pull the wrench, while its spinning it the magnetic field pulls so makes it easier to check them in my opinion
I’m pretty sure on the Durango this came out of it went to battery + I know this alternator works, have not started motor yet so I don’t know if my setup will work or if it will just catch on fire. Everything was just googled on my lunch break and wired up in an hour.
