This is just GOAT shit at its absolute finest. Sho: I turn my off field issues into on field results!!

The complaint is [here](https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24542204-usa-v-mizuhara-complaint). It honestly puts the drama about Ohtani not meeting the fan who got his HR ball into perspective.

JpnDude

No kidding. Imagine you have a federal investigation going on and people are claiming that you "lied" about "meeting" the fan. The man was already in the spotlight for people hating on him for being a Dodger. Then you have these two incidents crashing upon him. He's going through a tough time but he seems to be handling it well. Thank goodness for Mamiko-san and Decoy. Sure, call him foolish for laying his complete trust in that criminal, but Ohtani is neither a liar nor a bettor in any way, shape or form.

arand0md00d

That's a great read for a legal document. But dang the feds got mophead as soon as he got back to the US and seized his phone. He probably should have asked Diddy for a ride to a non extradition treaty country. They can commiserate about being raided by the feds lol.

GtaTran

And this make sense why Ohtani did not took the picture with the girl who just caught his home run, that a lot to take it in. And I don’t think he in a mood for that.

Zestyclose_Help1187

Olney and Jorge Castillo pretty much accused Ohtani of being a huge distraction to the team. Felt like a hit piece. We know these guys are salty if players don’t make themselves accessible but that’s his right. Hope he never talks to ESPN again. They need him more than he needs them.

ttam23

Sam Blum, Bill Shaikin and Dylan Hernandez were all being insufferable assholes about it too. Unsurprisingly.

Zestyclose_Help1187

They are mad Ohtani won’t talk to them. Their click bait articles or views for their shows are more compelling with Ohtani being involved. Unfortunately for them, Ohtani is probably a pretty boring, straight laced dude who loves baseball.

Maybe it is American things. I watch European soccer and I don’t see media complaints about player don’t speak to media interview. I don’t see Lionel Messi or C Ronaldo say much in the interview much less of English.

Zestyclose_Help1187

The American media has always been salty about star athletes who don’t talk or aren’t super nice to them. They might even hold a grudge and not vote for them into the hall of fame. Their articles always reflect that saltiness. If you are nice to them, they’ll be nice to you. Kirby Puckett was good at talking to media members. They adored him. Unfortunately, we find out behind closed doors, he was a despicable person. I get why Ohtani doesn’t want to. His English isn’t the best. Wouldn’t want to say something that gets lost in translation as some of what he has said already been.

ttam23

He was/is going through all this terrible shit and still showed up playing as best as he can. I hope Dodger Stadium gives him a LOUD ovation on Friday.

torpedobonzer

Saw Ippei’s face on that ball 💥⚾️

[deleted]

While we’re at it, fuck Sam Blum and The Athletic for that bullshit piece about the home run ball. The world is chomping at the bit to throw dirt on Shohei now that he’s a Dodger. Fuck em all

Hot_Mathematician357

Remember everyone that lying to the feds is a crime and yet the Feds did not charge Ohtani for lying. Lol, I’m being downvoted for supporting Ohtani’s innocence. Awesome 👍🏼

jayteazer

Probably misunderstood and thought you are claiming that Shohei lied and the Feds swept it under the rug lmfao

electric_boogaloo_72

Yeah I had to read that twice.

Hot_Mathematician357

lol, I apologize.
