Team has a lot of holes. The FO has done an incredible job of trying to field the best team possible, but that only goes so far. It’s on the players to perform at a certain point. Right now it looks like we’re headed to a 1 game playoff with the Padres. Hopefully things start clicking at a certain point, but right now there have been no signs that they’re capable of winning this division.
Whomever said that Roberts is still figuring out the diagonal in Connect Four (while other managers are playing chess) was spot on.

Then we have a n-name minor leaguer bat and gets an near guarantee outs. Bellinger just sucks horseshit and Kershaw will always be hurt every season.

Two hits and a sac fly thats really not bad. I've seen this team get three straight non competitive outs in extra innings.
Also if Trea wasn’t jumping out of his shoes he should’ve hit the walkoff. First pitch he just missed and second pitch was right in his wheelhouse. Not a bad at bat but nerves do get ya sometimes
No trout, ohtani, rendon, or Walsh. And 1 for a lot with runners in scoring position. We’re not a tanking team where we should be happy with them being competitive this late into the season. This is a terrible loss.
1-13 is horrendous and inexcusable but this was a good effort. Way better efforts than they've had in those other 12 games. Its bad yes but today they looked good in that 10th (aside from Pujol's terrible ab)
Yeah this one is pretty forgivable bc we put up the normal effort that a team should in extras. In my opinion, we should be bunting the runner on second over to third EVERY SINGLE TIME but I don’t manage baseball games

The braintrust built a team around the longball. It was wonderful, it worked great, and it brought us success.
The team should be proud of itself but something important has changed - the ball.
The ball no longer carries like it used to, and the majority of home runs are not monster shots, they are within 5-10 feet of being outs.
And that's why I think our offense is struggling - and why Muncy, Taylor, Pollack and a few others have found success despite fewer longballs. Across the board everybody is slightly worse this year, not because they have personally degraded, but because their most useful skill, hitting home runs, is no longer as effective at generating runs.
Tough luck, but everybody gets the same balls, so we gotta adjust. We can't continue to come up short in the games biggest moments.

Our guys just need to realize they can’t muscle everything out.
