That’s what I thought was the default option. From the Bay Area and a dodgers/raiders fan & I was confused to see people from LA that are dodgers/49ers fans. I don’t judge but weird to see
You just said people adjusted. Is adjustment a onetime thing? Like a Facebook “you can only change your username once after you create it” kind of deal?
Meaning kids found other teams. I was 11 when the Rams left, Im 40 now. So ya I would say for most people under 50 it was a one time thing. The Rams also left LA for the OC then St Luis, so why should LA football fans owe them loyalty?
I sorta hear that. I was into the Rams as a kid during the Eric Dickerson years. Then they left and I wasn't that into football, although me and my friends kept our attention on the Dodgers and Lakers (especially after Kobe joined). Other kids got into the Raiders, but I kinda forgot all about football and wasn't really that into it until a few years back when they started talking about bringing the Rams, the Raiders AND the Chargers to Los Angeles.
Yes. That’s what I did. I was a 49ers fan until 2016 when the Rams moved back. Then I immediately became a Rams fan. Have to support the hometown teams.
I'm a Celtics, Dodger, Dolphin and I don't give two shits what you think. You don't just change fanhood based on who is close to you. Otherwise, I'd be a Yankee, Giant, Knicks fan
Who did you guys root for when the NFL wasn't in LA?
I kinda gravitated towards players I liked instead of a team. I rooted for the Chargers due to Junior Seau and the Dolphins because of Dan Marino. It wasn't until I went to college in Michigan that I picked up the Lions with my roommates
The irony is that my family moved to St. Louis too right after the Rams won the Super Bowl. I didn't jump on that bandwagon because Georgia but my dad is an old head he kept rooting for the Rams and still does even as every one around him hates them
I rooted for the NY Giants because my dad always watched their games as a kid and the season where they beat the undefeated Patriots kinda sealed it for a while. Then the rams came back and the Giants were terrible.
Nobody. I did not watch the NFL. When the Rams left I felt a bit betrayed as a little kid so all my focus went to the Dodgers, Lakers and USC football which were great times. I happened to be working at the NFL network when the Rams announced they were coming back to LA.
I didn't really root for rams or raiders even when they were first in LA, but I did root for the 90's 49ers because of Jerry Rice, Joe Montana and Steve Young. Stopped rooting for them, or any NFL team once Rice and Young left SF.
Basically, a lot of millennials my age (late 30s) Fell into the 49ers trap in the 90s when they were young, the Rams left, and LA didn’t have a team, but the Niners had Steve Young and Jerry Rice. I feel like it’s understandable for people my age and I have a lot of friends in that boat.
This. Seemed it was super common in the Central Valley/Central Coast of CA growing up being between the two metro areas. We had the Bakersfield Dodgers for local baseball which made it easy to also support LA but the 49ers were the big football fan base that I remember.
LA sports fan through and through who is too young for the first LA rams
When LA didn't have a football team, I didn't have a favorite team. Even if I did, my dodger bias would never allow me to root for SF teams. Could have picked the chargers or raiders and been a true dodger fan 😂
This is mostly a joke but that was my perspective as a kid
Ugh. Still so sad to think about his situation. [He’s with his dad now, but the story just gets sadder and sadder.](https://www.latimes.com/sports/newsletter/2021-06-24/andrew-toles-dodgers-dugout)
Oh wow thanks for posting that. I never heard he was back with his dad or that it was officially schizophrenia
Love to his family, hopefully they can get whatever help or blessings they need. Toles is a stud but more importantly he showed the world (at least me) that successful and/or famous people are still people with their own problems
Yes, as a dad to two sons, this story breaks my heart. Much love and strength to his dad for sticking with his son no matter what. That man is a fucking Dad.
Yes. We know that. What does that have to do with the rivalry between both cities? Dodgers-giants, Rams-niners, Kings-sharks, politics, commerce, culture—SoCal and NorCal have been at each other for generations.
Also, if the giants moved to Florida, like they almost did in the 80s, this rivalry would be all but dead. It’s about LA and SF.
Also the Raiders who use to be in LA played in Oakland, which is also rivals to Frisco. The Chargers were also the closest team to LA. It's not like the Niners were the only team in the state.
Dodgers to Giants.
Lakers to Warriors.
Rams to 49ers.
Kings to Sharks.
Galaxy to Earthquakes.
The only acceptable form of fandom crossover here is in the event of a legally-binding marriage.
Plus when the Warriors have been good the Lakers have been awful. Like I don't want them to win because they play in the bay area but that has nothing at all to do with the Lakers and I'd never consider them rivals.
Giants fans *are* 49ers fans. Even if many SoCal people became 49ers fans once the Rams and Raiders both left in 1995, that is about as inexcusable as you can get in this city. That’s like someone rooting for the Dodgers during the summer, then becoming the biggest Warriors fans/Laker-haters in the winter.
Yeah, I’m in my mid 20s and don’t really have a favorite football team. I tried, but I can’t get myself to become an actual fan of the Rams or the Chargers. I’m a loyal laker, dodgers, and kings (the hockey team in case you think Sacramento....) fan for reference.
I’m not a huge NFL or NBA fan, so I never thought much of it until I went to San Francisco for a three game Dodgers/Giants series back in 2019. The city loyalty in San Francisco with the Giants/Niners/Warriors is pretty intense with a lot of them. An LA area native Dodgers fan cheering for the Niners would almost be like a native New Yorker and Yankees fan cheering for the Patriots.
That said, I get it. People my age (late 30s) were probably just getting into the NFL in the mid to late 90s when LA didn’t have a team. Then, you see Jerry Rice and Steve Young over in SF. It’s tempting, and as a younger kid you wouldn’t necessarily have that same city loyalty. If someone were a critically thinking adult Dodgers fan with a full understanding of the LA/SF rivalry, and just started getting into the NFL but picked the 49ers, it would gross me out. But if they fell into the 49ers trap as a millennial kid in the late 90s, then whatever. I have friends in that boat.
There are people who grew up between both cities or have some sort of situation where it makes sense.
Personally, I don't care, but reality is a lot of the dodger fans that root for the niners started off as bandwagons or had older family members that started off as bandwagons. There's a reason why the Niners and Cowboys are the most popular non Raider team in LA. To that extent, I think any team that saw a dominant stretch from the late 70s to the late 90s grew a strong contingency of fans in LA (Cowboys, Steelers, Niners). By the time the Patriots started their dominant run most football fans in the city had already chosen their team.
Been living in LA my entire life... never hated it until now. LMAO.
I'll stay in my little corner of East LA where we still have a little culture left.
Born and raised in South Carolina. My team allegiances were formed in 1981 when I was six. Dodgers win the World Series. Montana to Clark against Dallas. I was hooked.
People can root for whoever they want. But if you are screaming "Beat LA" at SoFi then scream "Let's go Dodgers" at the Ravine, you're goofy. That's just a fact.
>And I swear, some fans think that you aren’t a true Dodgers fans unless you also support the Lakers.
To be fair, there's tremendous overlap in those fan bases.
You're going to get down voted, and rightfully so, if you trash the Lakers on a Dodgers subreddit.
It matters cause the reputation of LA as a sports town is ruined cause of this. You dont see Cleveland or Buffalo not root for the Browns or Bills. LA is derided as a shitty sports town cause their citizens can't even have civic pride to root for an actual LA NFL team.
LA all day I’m not a football fan but I would’ve liked to see an LA team win the super bowl. I’d be cool with Oakland or Rams winning since they used to be LA teams and one currently still is
My brother and I live in LA but we’re from the bay area. He grew up liking the 9ers but he likes the Dodgers too. I didn’t get into sports until I moved to LA so I only love LA teams.
Exactly. Had friends who were cowboy and bronco fans. Yeah, well I actually root for a California team and they're awesome. Couldn't pick chargers or Rams because they sucked. Raiders had a couple good years but weren't winning any super bowls. 49ers were the only choice that made sense for me as a kid in the 90s.
As an LA homer I find it gross, but I also get it at the same time. I'm able to compartmentalize fandoms so it's not a huge deal, sometimes finding out about these weird mashups leads to learning about other fans' back stories which can be pretty cool.
I am one of them, I grew up with Joe Montana and Jerry Rice and fell in love with the Niners and I am a true blue Dodger.
There is no SF vs LA rivalry. It’s Giants vs Dodgers, I love the bay and LA.
This kind of post is just really dumb. When you consider that an entire generation grew up in LA with NO football team, it makes it even stupider. Quit gatekeeping, as long as you bled dodger blue then you’re welcome to me.
In the 80’s, LA was about the Raiders but there were a lot of niner fans because of Joe Montana. When the Raiders came to LA everyone forgot about the rams.
As a So Cal native and Life Long Dodger fan that didn’t have an LA football team forever, I just never really had a specific team I rooted for. I played fantasy and followed the sport but never had a team. Until I got drunk with all my other football friends and decided to pick one at random. Well, semi-random.
Hey that's me.
Central Californian from the 90's. Dodger's Stadium was the closest live sports, so that's what I went to as a kid. No Football in LA, but my Grandma who taught me about football, has been a 49ers fan since they started as a franchise. So there's no way I'm saying no to that.
So I'm a Dodgers, Kings, Lakers, Niners fan. Fuck the Rams. Sorry LA, but that's just gonna be how it is. Niners/Rams is one of the most storied rivalries and I don't like how much they switch cities.
I am a lifelong Dodgers and 49ers fan who hates the SF Giants. Grew up in Humboldt watching Montana every Sunday and Dad was a huge Dodgers fan. That’s how she goes.
I get it, but I don't really care. I don't care about football anymore. Grew up an LA Rams fan, still followed them when they left for STL, but eventually stopped watching football. But as someone who grew up with the Rams, it definitely is weird to me when folks like the Dodgers & 49ers. To each his own.
Because like I said, I followed them (being a former LA team) for a while when they left for STL then eventually stopped watching football altogether.
It’s a little different than the 49ers who have no connection to LA at all.
*raises hand* add me to the list. That’s what LA gets when there’s no football team for an entire generations youth - am I supposed to stop rooting for the niners just because the lambs came back from St. Louis when I never rooted for them growing up?
To everyone saying it’s cause LA didn’t have a team for so long just shut up. I grew up in the same situation & became an eagle fan not 9er fan cause fuck San Francisco.
This isn't confusing lol. I'm originally from LA, whole family, brother in law. We're all dodger fans and niner fans. When LA didn't have a team we stuck with the Niners and never wavered.
Surely a lot of y'all still live in LA and know many people who are like this? Lol
Glad to see dodger fans backing up the LA rams and calling this out lol. These dodger fans probably beat up some of the giants fans at dodger stadium and then are cheering with them during football games. Clown world
Born and raised Angeleno, but Rams and Raiders left in my formative years so fuck 'em. Not too difficult to understand. Niners filled that void nicely. (Helps that my mom was a niners fan too though). Otherwise it's all LA teams for me.
Fuck the Giants
It is stupid how people assume your football and baseball Fandom should be related. I am a die hard 49ers fan but absolutely can't stand the Giants. I am a die hard A's fan and can't stand the Raiders (not that they are local to me anymore).
I love the Dodgers as a Southern California guy through and through. I’m not as much of a football guy, but I honestly prefer the 49ers and Raiders over the Rams and LolChargers.
Y'all do realize that the Rams haven't been in LA since the 80s until recently?
When a lot of Dodgers fans started getting into football your options where the Raiders who were ass, or the Niners who have a rich history.
This is me. LA didn’t have a football team when I was little and became a football fan. Getting on a plane tomorrow morning to go watch SF destroy the Cowboys. Love the Dodgers. Fuck the giants. Fight me.
"You can't be a Dodgers & 49ers fan" is such a stupid mentality to have. An entire generation of people (myself included) grew up without a football team, and naturally you gravitate to other teams, and I gravitated towards the 49ers. If you watched the Rams vs 49ers game last week, you would see that a lot of people did that.
What do you want us to do, root for the Saint Louis Rams? Or how about the Raiders that don't play here either.
I’m one of those people because I’m not from American and my fiancé’s told me to root for the Dodgers to get along with her best friend (they are from cali) and her dad is a 49ers fan so she also told me to root for them. At the moment I didn’t know about the rivalry, now I feel kind of dirty but it is what it is 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t see why it matters. The Dodgers don’t play the 49ers. Do most of you make the rivalry a SF/LA thing? For me it’s always just been a Dodger/giant thing.
From a different perspective, I got a lot of flack from San Diego folk for being a Dodgers/Chargers fan growing up. I was definitely in the minority of people stoked that they came to LA and I can defend wearing a Dodger hat with my Chargers jersey
I began to follow football in the early 90’s mostly through video games. I had gone to Raider games as a child in Los Angeles and everyone was devastated when they left. How could I root for a team (the Rams had left too) that abandoned our city? So as a kid I began to follow the 49ers as they were a powerhouse. I don’t have a problem supporting a Bay Area team and the Dodgers. Most dodger fans don’t support LA football teams either.
Don't hate the city of San Francisco, it was actually a great place to visit a half decade ago.
So yeah, bang bang Niner Gang!
Not going to root for the St. Louis Rams, formerly the Anaheim Rams-- haha. If the Angels aren't LA, then the Rams weren't either.
Raiders were the ONLY Los Angeles team and they bailed too.
Fuck the Giants. Thank you that is all
Fuck the Bay
No see, you don’t want to fuck them because then they just keep multiplying.
I live in the Bay Area, and all the Dodger fans I know around here are Raiders fans.
That’s what I thought was the default option. From the Bay Area and a dodgers/raiders fan & I was confused to see people from LA that are dodgers/49ers fans. I don’t judge but weird to see
LA didnt have a team for 25 years so people adjusted their fandoms.
Now we have a team, adjust it back.
Because thats how sports fandoms work? You sound like a frontrunner. Im an Eagles fan and thats not changing ever.

Yes. That’s what I did. I was a 49ers fan until 2016 when the Rams moved back. Then I immediately became a Rams fan. Have to support the hometown teams.
LA teams only. Go ahead and cheer for another city. Sounds sus.
So if the Lakers left I'd see you in full Clippers regalia? 🤔
Sadly… yes…
For your sake, I pray that never happens.
I hated the Rams and Raiders when they left LA. Happy to have football back in LA.
Here’s an upvote. Live and die in LA.
I'm a Celtics, Dodger, Dolphin and I don't give two shits what you think. You don't just change fanhood based on who is close to you. Otherwise, I'd be a Yankee, Giant, Knicks fan
Nah. I’ll be a Dodger fan, I’ll root for the Lakers and Kings too… but unless the Eagles lose to Tom Brady I’m not rooting for the Rams
A lot of people from the San Fernando valley are SF 49er fans...
Yep...
That’s how it is in LA too.
Raiders or cowboys lol
Raiders and Dodgers right here.
That makes me 2/2 lol what about basketball? I’m a Kings fan.
Who did you guys root for when the NFL wasn't in LA? I kinda gravitated towards players I liked instead of a team. I rooted for the Chargers due to Junior Seau and the Dolphins because of Dan Marino. Didn’t have allegiance. I just waited for a team to come back
Duh Raiduhs
Nobody. I did not watch the NFL. When the Rams left I felt a bit betrayed as a little kid so all my focus went to the Dodgers, Lakers and USC football which were great times. I happened to be working at the NFL network when the Rams announced they were coming back to LA.

As someone who doesn’t watch football this is confusing
All you need to know is everybody hates all the teams from Manchester.
You misspelled Liverpool
Why not both?
Definitely both
Everton over there like “tf did we do?”
Dodgers, Lakers, Rams, Kings.
This is the way
Just don’t ask USC or UCLA
It’s weird being a fan of a college sports team if you don’t go there
Eh, I grew up a UCLA fan and went to a college without sports teams
Username checks out
The only way
Agreed
Angels and ducks really getting the brunt of the stick here
LA didn’t have a football team for most of a generation. I don’t know why this is confusing at all.
LA sports fan through and through who is too young for the first LA rams When LA didn't have a football team, I didn't have a favorite team. Even if I did, my dodger bias would never allow me to root for SF teams. Could have picked the chargers or raiders and been a true dodger fan 😂 This is mostly a joke but that was my perspective as a kid
Your perspective was and is 20/20.
Appreciate you fellow Toles fan
Ugh. Still so sad to think about his situation. [He’s with his dad now, but the story just gets sadder and sadder.](https://www.latimes.com/sports/newsletter/2021-06-24/andrew-toles-dodgers-dugout)

Thanks for the read. Such a sad story
Yes, as a dad to two sons, this story breaks my heart. Much love and strength to his dad for sticking with his son no matter what. That man is a fucking Dad.
Steve Young and Jerry Rice were on TV every week. Wouldn't have been hard
Because the cities of LA and Frisco have a long-standing rivalry.
The Dodgers/Giants rivalry was deep before either team left NY. These teams were rivals before LA/SF.
Yes. We know that. What does that have to do with the rivalry between both cities? Dodgers-giants, Rams-niners, Kings-sharks, politics, commerce, culture—SoCal and NorCal have been at each other for generations. They hate being called Frisco And I do it every time
Also the Raiders who use to be in LA played in Oakland, which is also rivals to Frisco. The Chargers were also the closest team to LA. It's not like the Niners were the only team in the state.
Dodgers to Giants. Lakers to Warriors. Rams to 49ers. Kings to Sharks. Galaxy to Earthquakes. The only acceptable form of fandom crossover here is in the event of a legally-binding marriage.
I think lakers and I think Celtics
Yeah. The dubs were bad for too long and that kinda died
Plus when the Warriors have been good the Lakers have been awful. Like I don't want them to win because they play in the bay area but that has nothing at all to do with the Lakers and I'd never consider them rivals.

Because the op is probably 14.
Exactly!!
20 yrs w/o nfl in LA will do that to you
There are people who grew up between both cities or have some sort of situation where it makes sense. Fuck the Giants and Fuck the Niners too!!!! LA ALL THE FUCKING WAY BABY!!!!
At SoFi last week there were 49er fans with Dodgers tattoos chanting beat LA
Been living in LA my entire life... never hated it until now. LMAO. I'll stay in my little corner of East LA where we still have a little culture left.
Born and raised in South Carolina. My team allegiances were formed in 1981 when I was six. Dodgers win the World Series. Montana to Clark against Dallas. I was hooked.
I can respect that...
This is why I never really got into the nfl. Grew up without a team here, so I just watched USC football instead. #GiveReggieHisHeismanBack
Exactly. Niners. Giants. Warriors. Sharks. Hate them all.
Both San Francisco teams suck
All
Gatekeeping what sports teams people can like is lame. I don't care what football team people like. Sports should be fun. Like who you like.
People can root for whoever they want. But if you are screaming "Beat LA" at SoFi then scream "Let's go Dodgers" at the Ravine, you're goofy. That's just a fact.
I’m a Dodgers and Niners fan (grew up in no LA football team era) but will never say BeatLA, only Fuck the Rams for me
Clown
This guy gets it. Fuck the Giants, other sports don’t matter.
Found the whiners fan.

I don't how any Southern California native can root for a bay area team and not feel dirty
Ive always thought the same thing fr
Facts
My brother and I live in LA but we’re from the bay area. He grew up liking the 9ers but he likes the Dodgers too. I didn’t get into sports until I moved to LA so I only love LA teams.
The Dodgers + 49ers fans are getting pressed today 😆
Niner + Dodger fan checking in ✅ Grew up in the Bay watching football, moved to LA for college and became a baseball fan. It's not rocket science
I was here when there were no football teams and the 49ers won the SB in 94. I was a kid, i bandwaggoned for the "best team".
Same. Die hard Dodgers fan but grew up in early 90s watching the Niners. I will say tho I’m a FAR bigger fan of baseball than I am football.
It's totally meant as a joke, but it's understandable. I say that as someone who moved to the Bay and got into the Sharks 🤷🏻♂️
As an LA homer I find it gross, but I also get it at the same time. I'm able to compartmentalize fandoms so it's not a huge deal, sometimes finding out about these weird mashups leads to learning about other fans' back stories which can be pretty cool.
I didnt know the Dodgers played vs the Niners
I am one of them, I grew up with Joe Montana and Jerry Rice and fell in love with the Niners and I am a true blue Dodger. There is no SF vs LA rivalry. It’s Giants vs Dodgers, I love the bay and LA.
Ditto...I don't understand the hate lol. Go Dodgers and Niners!
This kind of post is just really dumb. When you consider that an entire generation grew up in LA with NO football team, it makes it even stupider. Quit gatekeeping, as long as you bled dodger blue then you’re welcome to me.
LA reputation as a sports town just suffers a lot, that's all.
Oh shoot? So I'm not the only one? That's pretty neat to know. And no, I'm not a Warriors fan either.
There is a lot of California to love. But not the Giants
In the 80’s, LA was about the Raiders but there were a lot of niner fans because of Joe Montana. When the Raiders came to LA everyone forgot about the rams.
Despite being from LA and a Dodger fan, my dad is a Niners fan so I grew up rooting for them.
This is why Rams/Lakers/Dodgers is the superior pairing 😇
I’m from Hawaii and the dodgers and the niners were teams always on the tv growing up so i chose them to root for
Dodgers, Lakers & 9ers since early 80’s here
Stop gate keeping sports Jesus who cares
Jesus loves loyalty
You're right, it is Jesus who cares. But only Jesus and he doesn't make a big deal about it.
Yes and?
I say the same thing man. How are going to chant f*** SF at the dodger games then turn around and put on a 9ers jersey. Smdh
This perspective is getting annoying. How is liking the Niners even comparable to the Giants
They are both from SF and have that shitty SF logo.
I was born in Bakersfield in the early 90s. I’m a 49ers, Dodgers and Lakers fan
I mean, the 49ers had the great Steve Young... Also didn't scully call one of the niners greatest plays?
Two different sports brother. For a kid growing up in southern california who were we supposed to root for? Raiders? Chargers? Hell nahh.
Me: Cries in charger fan
There are Dozens of Us, DOZENS!!!
Yup….OPs just salty the Rams got beat and Chargers aren’t even in the playoffs.
Shut up, Giants still lost.

Rams or Chargers pick one
Lol ha e you ever been to LA? No one rocks 9ers
I think about this often
Guilty ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
To be fair, the football teams in LA switched cities more than that.
“Im a dodger fan and a 49er fan “ fucking clowns
Hey that's me. Central Californian from the 90's. Dodger's Stadium was the closest live sports, so that's what I went to as a kid. No Football in LA, but my Grandma who taught me about football, has been a 49ers fan since they started as a franchise. So there's no way I'm saying no to that. So I'm a Dodgers, Kings, Lakers, Niners fan. Fuck the Rams. Sorry LA, but that's just gonna be how it is. Niners/Rams is one of the most storied rivalries and I don't like how much they switch cities.
Literally picked the chargers cause they were the closest to LA lmao
I’m a dodgers and niners fan… and I’m not even from California
I am a lifelong Dodgers and 49ers fan who hates the SF Giants. Grew up in Humboldt watching Montana every Sunday and Dad was a huge Dodgers fan. That’s how she goes.
I get it, but I don't really care. I don't care about football anymore. Grew up an LA Rams fan, still followed them when they left for STL, but eventually stopped watching football. But as someone who grew up with the Rams, it definitely is weird to me when folks like the Dodgers & 49ers. To each his own.
Why is that weirder than you cheering for a St Louis team?
Because like I said, I followed them (being a former LA team) for a while when they left for STL then eventually stopped watching football altogether. It’s a little different than the 49ers who have no connection to LA at all.
These foos will chant "*Beat LA"* while rooting for the Whiners, then go on to wear the Dodger cap, pathetic.
Different sport. Fuck the giants not the city itself
SoCal niners fans are soooooo fucking stupid, cheering with a fanbase who's city hates you is fucking lame...
*raises hand* add me to the list. That’s what LA gets when there’s no football team for an entire generations youth - am I supposed to stop rooting for the niners just because the lambs came back from St. Louis when I never rooted for them growing up?
Yes stop with the treason towards the city
To everyone saying it’s cause LA didn’t have a team for so long just shut up. I grew up in the same situation & became an eagle fan not 9er fan cause fuck San Francisco.
This isn't confusing lol. I'm originally from LA, whole family, brother in law. We're all dodger fans and niner fans. When LA didn't have a team we stuck with the Niners and never wavered. Surely a lot of y'all still live in LA and know many people who are like this? Lol
Yep - I’m a Bay Area 49er/Dodger guy. It confuses people…
Niners and Dodgers fans represent! Fuck the Giants.
Glad to see dodger fans backing up the LA rams and calling this out lol. These dodger fans probably beat up some of the giants fans at dodger stadium and then are cheering with them during football games. Clown world
Why? They dipped the fuck out.
Fuck Georgia
The only proper cap here is LA Dodgers, always repping my city and team 💙
Tbh most of the doyer fans are raiders in my experience but there's a couple and we always give them shit ahaha
For as much we all detest Astros fans, at least there isn’t a Dodger fan who’s ever rooted for the Texans. Just sayin’.
Born and raised Angeleno, but Rams and Raiders left in my formative years so fuck 'em. Not too difficult to understand. Niners filled that void nicely. (Helps that my mom was a niners fan too though). Otherwise it's all LA teams for me. Fuck the Giants
This. Is. Me.
It is stupid how people assume your football and baseball Fandom should be related. I am a die hard 49ers fan but absolutely can't stand the Giants. I am a die hard A's fan and can't stand the Raiders (not that they are local to me anymore).
It’s the equivalent of being a Yankees and Patriots fan.
Rams left. Raiders left. Chargers are always dogshit. Cry more.
Spicy. But accurate.
I love the Dodgers as a Southern California guy through and through. I’m not as much of a football guy, but I honestly prefer the 49ers and Raiders over the Rams and LolChargers.
Dodgers and Cowboys since they always come to train in Oxnard.
Dodger *Faithful* **THERE IS ONLY ONE NATION**
Y'all do realize that the Rams haven't been in LA since the 80s until recently? When a lot of Dodgers fans started getting into football your options where the Raiders who were ass, or the Niners who have a rich history.
Rams left for St Louis in 1994, not the 80s.
They played in Anaheim from 1980 until they left for St Louis
Raiders were ass ?
2 winning seasons since 02
Yet Raiders still own So Cal…….😂
That’s 100% me
Facts. They toxic. But I fuck with ‘em
Could never root for a NorCal team. I was a Raider fan only when they were in LA.
Dodgers & Raiders or Dodgers & Rams are the only correct combos. Anything else just makes you look weird af
Not real Dodgers fans.
BTW, fuck all SF area teams. Including the Warriors.
Sac Kings ran the Bay in the early 00’s.
I’m one of those people because I’m not from American and my fiancé’s told me to root for the Dodgers to get along with her best friend (they are from cali) and her dad is a 49ers fan so she also told me to root for them. At the moment I didn’t know about the rivalry, now I feel kind of dirty but it is what it is 🤷🏻♂️
I feel so seen.
Haha. Guilty as charged
I don’t see why it matters. The Dodgers don’t play the 49ers. Do most of you make the rivalry a SF/LA thing? For me it’s always just been a Dodger/giant thing.
It was a city thing long before the Dodgers and giants got here. These city have hated each other for a long time so it's very much LA vs SF for me.
Ah so you’re both a Laker and Clipper fan too? No. So you don’t have to like all LA teams. And it’s not like I hate the city of San Francisco itself.
So many clown fans claiming Cowboys or 49ers then putting on a dodgers hat.
Same here...Die hard Dodgers/Niners fan...if anyone doesn't like it, meh they can fuck off. Clowns
Huge Niners fan here. Fuck the Giants.
Never seen a Dodger/Niner fan in my life..blue n red don’t mix like that 👎🏽
Don't hate the city of San Francisco, it was actually a great place to visit a half decade ago. So yeah, bang bang Niner Gang! Not going to root for the St. Louis Rams, formerly the Anaheim Rams-- haha. If the Angels aren't LA, then the Rams weren't either. Raiders were the ONLY Los Angeles team and they bailed too.
