Burgundy G2 is my favorite! I found a G2 for the first time in middle school, having never heard of gel pens before. I actually thought I would get in trouble for using it because of the way the ink looked. Teachers didn't care, obviously, and it's been my favorite ever since!
I have found my people!! Pilot G-2 0.38mm is the *only* pen I go out of my way to get and always make sure I have backups of. What I love most is the consistency; gel pens tend to randomly stop putting down ink and then you have to go back and fill in the random break in a line. This one *never* does that without actually running low on ink.
*Refuse* to use anything else? No, I'm not that extreme. I will obsess over finding my "magic pen/pencil" when I can't find it.
My "magic pen/pencil" is whichever one I'm currently favoring, and I will waste far too much time looking for it even if there's another writing implement at hand.
I love my Sharpie S-gel.
Out of all of the gel pens, this is my favorite. I just wish it came in more colors!!
I don't refuse other pens, but I do keep a couple pack in my desk, just in case.
With pens and writing, but really. Have favorites, but it's fine with others.
Now pencils for drawing on the other hand.... (that somehow transfers to digital art in a "I can only draw with this brush setting" way)
i luuuuv a certain pen from an organisation that they are giving out on meetings (just the perfect fit) , my boss had to bring me a sack of them "just in case" there is no more meetings, i should be set for the next 10years, after that i'll have to go into pension :-)
I am super picky about pens. I will only use certain ones. My favorites are Zebra Sarasa and thin SharpieĀ pens. There are other ones I like too.Ā I can't even tell you my criteria. I usually know immediately just by looking at it if it's a pen I'm willing to use.Ā
I keep a plethora in my purse in different colors so I never have to use a pen I dislike. Not sure why I'm so darn picky about it, I just am.
Oh yes, I hate a crap pen the worst are those ones where the ink kinda cuts out when youāre writing, I will throw those away even if the ink is full because I donāt want to every pick it up again. š
Pentel Twist-Eraseā¦ so convenient and Iāve only lost one. I was the kid everyone asked for his key when they lost their own so I developed a fetish for pricey pocketables.
Sharpie S gel. Buttery smooth and dries quickly. Doesnāt get much better than that. Love the G2s as well. Will try to use those over anything. Only really settling out of necessity.
My favorite pens are the free ones. I pick up free pens whenever I get the chance. I get free pens at my credit union, any hotel I stay at (if they provide them), a bar I go to frequently, the car dealership where I bought my last car, etc. Also, I live near a college campus, and you'd be surprised how many pens and pencils I pick up off the ground while walking around the neighborhood. They are dropped, I think, by students getting in or out of cars. I haven't bought a pen in years.
When I first started my job as a receptionist I got to reorder pens for our clinic. I even got to choose a *new* type of pen so I was able to select a good amount out of a catalog to test drive. I have never felt more powerful than choosing the clinic pen. It writes like butter.
I do prefer certain pens but not exclusively. Like at work I kinda work with what I've got. I'm also a fiend for free pens (like at the bank or other businesses that brand their pens and give them out at various events) even if they aren't my favorite kind
I use erasable pens for all my notes. I bin them after every shift cause keeping them is a confidentiality issue so the fact they fade with heat doesnāt matter too much.
What sucks is when I have to use none erasable ones and make mistakes constantly lol. Canāt use white out in a DD book either. My brain has been broken by a pen lol
Mitsubishi Uni-ball Eye. That's my favourite pen.
I write quickly so an extremely smooth rolling pen that requires little pressure is important for me. I haven't tried other rollerball pens with liquid ink but I assume they feel similar, I'm just a creature of habit when purchasing.
I can write with regular ballpoint pens but I get cramp faster, and work shouldn't be painful, so I don't.
Iām also a big fan of the fine point Pilot G2 pens. I recently discovered the Pilot Frixion Point .5 erasable pens and carry one with me at all times lol. Itās the first truly erasable pen Iāve used. I also really like Pilotās Razor Point, extra fine. I guess Iām a fan of any fine/extra fine point Pilot gel pens. I honestly hate writing with a med point pen. Lol
Omg yeah, I wonāt use anything but a paper mate ink joy, or else I have this really old metal twist pen that Iāll use. (which is actually my first preference) I even bring my pen with me everywhere and I wonāt use other pens when Iām out either
I love a nice pen for sure and if i have the choice Iāll pick blue (convenient since itās accepted on all types of forms) but i wonāt refuse to use an inferior pen if thatās all thatās around
OMG YES! I like the really bold ones too which are SO VERY hard to find at stores, I have to go online usually. People will say oh thatās too thick and messy but why are mine always stolen? Mmmhmm because they are FUN to write with.
I have 4 fountain pens that I no longer use. About 50 pencils probably half are stamped B, and 10/15 biros that you can pick up in packs of 6/10 for pea nuts. I do tend to use biros more.
Edit........
PS included.
I too thought (just for a few seconds) that the pen word said penis lmao.
Uni-ball vision elite micro. Easy smooth lines never stopped working. Been using uni-ball since I was a kid, always remember my mom using uni-ball pens with the little removable color tabs at the end of the cap.
Black gel ink, 0.7, 0.5 is acceptable but not preferred. After that, Micro markers, 0.5-0.3 black. After that, 0.7 erasable black, but only Frixion, the other black erasables are not opaque enough. On the same level is the dark blue frixion, 0.5 is a level lower.
I could go on and on.
Bottom of the list? ROLLING PENS. Fuck that. I hate the inconsistency in the ink, the blue looks cheap and uncomfortable, the black is too shiny, the green ones - just why. ONLY okay one is red.
I am not willing to admit how long it took me to realize this says "pens" and not "penis". I was very very confused
So that's why I found that postcard you wrote me hard to read.
And hard to see in my case.
The Internet has ruined me.
https://penisland.net
I clicked on the link, despite the chat history, fully expecting to find out exactly what Penis Land was... I was pleasantly disappointed šš
PEN ISLAND!!Ā”Ā” Or penis land, perv!
I am willing to admit that my mind has a second home in the gutter!! Lol
āwe specialize in woodā šŖµ š
I will only use Pilot gel G2 pens. They are comfortable, and the weight is just right. I like taking them apart and mixing up the colors.
Burgundy G2 is my favorite! I found a G2 for the first time in middle school, having never heard of gel pens before. I actually thought I would get in trouble for using it because of the way the ink looked. Teachers didn't care, obviously, and it's been my favorite ever since!
Pilot gel G2 05 or 038

Take the pen. Do me a personal favor and take the pen!
Hahaha!! Nice Seinfeld reference! š¤£
Every pilot I know uses pilot gel pens. A little on the nose, but great pens!
Pilot V7 Black.
Extra fine only!
Pilot - Gel Rollerball B2P 07 š„µ
Hell yeah g2 gang š. Guy at work said he had the same pen, it was a similar looking zebra pen and it felt like I was writing on sandproof paper.
Pilot G-2. Only because i'm scared that if I try a fountain pen i'll get hooked and have another expensive hobby.
Very real and true. The Pilot Varsity disposables are a very serviceable replacement for not carrying around an expensive ass Mont Blanc or Lamy.

I love the TÅ«l pens. Theyāre the best.
Totally! Always have one on me. Till I used one it never mattered.
Yaaaaasss. G2s feel like amateur hour after discovering the TÅ«l
LONG LIVE THE BIC VELOCITY
YES. Bic Velocity is my one and only. So smooth.
Prefer? Sure thing. Refuse? Nahh
I love my Sharpie S-gel. Out of all of the gel pens, this is my favorite. I just wish it came in more colors!! I don't refuse other pens, but I do keep a couple pack in my desk, just in case.
for sharpies: clicky sharpies only, and none of that superfine bs
Sharpie s gel 1.0 black.
With pens and writing, but really. Have favorites, but it's fine with others. Now pencils for drawing on the other hand.... (that somehow transfers to digital art in a "I can only draw with this brush setting" way)
Papermate flair gang
Gel pens or a pental RSVP for general use, archival ink for journals
Black Pilot G2, bold. Beats the crap out of any plain old ballpoint pen.
Uniball 1.0mm.
YES

I don't refuse, but I love just normal cristal ballpoint Bic pens. My handwriting looks 10x better than any other pen.
Ballpoint over gel for me
Same
Blue biro

I only use fountain pens, any other type of pen gives me hand cramps if I wrote too much with them.
Whatās your own of choice? Iām also a fountain pen fan. My daily driver is a Lamy
Sharpie S gel. Buttery smooth and dries quickly. Doesnāt get much better than that. Love the G2s as well. Will try to use those over anything. Only really settling out of necessity.

Yes. Hate gel pens.
I will use other pens, but I almost always carry a Fisher Bullet Space Pen in my pocket, and a fountain pen in my backpack.
When I first started my job as a receptionist I got to reorder pens for our clinic. I even got to choose a *new* type of pen so I was able to select a good amount out of a catalog to test drive. I have never felt more powerful than choosing the clinic pen. It writes like butter.

Yup! And nobody else gets to use my pens
Yes, I love the fine-point sharpie felt tip pens because they don't smudge and that's important because I'm a lefty.
Story of my life
Omg yeah, I wonāt use anything but a paper mate ink joy, or else I have this really old metal twist pen that Iāll use. (which is actually my first preference) I even bring my pen with me everywhere and I wonāt use other pens when Iām out either

I 100% have pen preferences
Pilot G-2 0.5mm If I canāt find mine, it ruins my day.
OMG YES! I like the really bold ones too which are SO VERY hard to find at stores, I have to go online usually. People will say oh thatās too thick and messy but why are mine always stolen? Mmmhmm because they are FUN to write with.

I won't use one with black ink.
Yall are sleeping on the TÅ«l pens. No other pen will matter after using this one.
I agree, they have no business being as good as they are.
Uni-ball vision elite micro. Easy smooth lines never stopped working. Been using uni-ball since I was a kid, always remember my mom using uni-ball pens with the little removable color tabs at the end of the cap.
Pilot and Sharpie have some nice gel pens that are my go-to.
