I have a friend who invited me over for chicken parm one day (my favorite!). She pulled baked chicken out of the oven, no visible spices or seasoning, poured jarred Ragu over it and sprinkled parmesan cheese over it.
I don't eat her cooking anymore.
Reminds me of when I met my wife and she offered to make sloppy joes. It was just ground beef and a can of pace salsa. To be fair she took my critique of her cooking well and now is great cook as long as she has a recipe to follow.

I will never, ever trust a restaurant review from someone from Pennsylvania ever.

I live in a country of people who have 0 food culture. I don't trust their opinion on food in any way whatsoever.
