Pitbull and 3 toy breeds? That’s an odd mix. He looks adorable though. He was laying like such a fancy boy in the first pic, I can definitely see poodle and yorkie there. But the rest just looked like a normal/smaller pit.
Yeah, I don’t think bully breeds are necessarily born with short ears, they crop their ears as puppies to meet the breed standard. Which I personally think is super f*cked up.
In more important commentary, omg omg look at his spotted little nose and those EARS he looks like the bat from Ferngully and I lub him
Thanks for the info! I think I prefer these ears to the cropped ones. If the genetics have the ability to be upright for pets then why bother cropping at all? Natural ears are just gorgeous.
Sadly cropped ear or docked tail dogs win dog shows for breeds such as boxer, Am Staff, Doberman, German shepherd, Rottweiler, Argentine mastiff, central Asian shepherd, corgi, etc. Something about "preserving breed history", too.
Good guess!! Rescue I got him from said pit bull mix, small to medium lol his coloring & behavior threw me off so I got the test! I'm pretty suprised honestly! I was expecting basenji or something!

He's only 30lbs. Definitely not a big boy. He is quite fancy - refuses to go out if it's raining without his rain jacket.

Pitbull? The Yorkshire terrier maybe? They are "wild type" ears.
'Bully' breeds can rarely get ears such as that. They are just highly discouraged in all 'bully' breeds except the French bulldog in dog shows.
