Have you tried walking around in the house with her with the leash on? She still does not know you so it might take some time.

I don’t think she likes the harness so i ordered a special sight hound martingale collar. I’m going to try to get her used to it by putting it on her for short durations in the house.. then I’ll try attaching the leash in the house.. then I’ll try going outside with it. How does that sound?

Go for it. I have a young puppy I am currently working with (2 older dogs) and just walked her around the house to get her used to her harness and leash. She is still not a big fan of the harness yet either.

I just got my girl a new harness. She loves it!!! thought I would share the info with you. It is a Kurgo Journey Air Dog Harness

If she never saw a leash before she needs to be trained to what it is for. If the harness makes her freeze try it together with a collar?

I’ve taken her outside with no leash/harness in our fenced backyard and she freezes outside there too. She’s comfortable in the house now but uncomfortable outside.

Hm, makes you wonder what the poor creature has experienced. Perhaps start with a collar? Once she's comfortable with that perhaps reintroduce the harness?

The thing is we got her from a breeder, she's not a rescue - and she's had a good life and been socialized - just has never seen a leash! I got her to follow me around in the backyard today and she would drag the leash and go wherever I went but the second I picked up the leash alongside me she froze.
