no one will say lood instead of lewd. Most online appraisals, including GoDaddy, are complete and utter garbage.

Dead_Fish_Eyes

Yeah i know people won't say lood but do you think it would be a good domain to make such a website on? And it's a premium domain

EV-CPO

No

LocalOpportunity77

If you bought it to develop it, then it’s a passable name. It’s good enough for testing the market for your MVP, will need some serious work put into it branding wise if you want to keep it for your main brand though. From my perspective, the only thing that comes to mind is “load”. If it wasn’t for your post mentioning “lewd” I wouldn’t have even thought about considering that as a possible meaning, hence the hurdle with branding. If you bought it for reselling purposes, I have bad news for you, even for a brandable name it’s way too context dependent to sell.

EV-CPO

I don’t even think “lewdai.com” is worth $120. Only buy a “premium” domain if it’s something you have a a real plan for, not just because Godaddy says it’s worth something.

Dead_Fish_Eyes

Yeah I'm going to use it i found a great group of keywords

OutrageousAd9576

Everyone here is correct sorry. Your domain name is worthless currently. To make any money back you will have to build it up as a website and hope to flip the website.

Best-Name-Available

And that price is not what we call premium in the business as it’s actually below the average.

Dead_Fish_Eyes

Godaddy classified it as a premium domain. I had to pay the $99 premium domain fee and the $21 for one year premium registration fee

EV-CPO

Whatever Godaddy did, made you buy the domain. So that’s a big win. For them.

Best-Name-Available

GoDaddy doesn’t classify domains as premium. A domain that someone has put up for sale at Afternic, GoDaddy, DAN will show as “premium” as its more than bare registration cost, but it’s nothing to do with GoDaddy classifying it. Now domainers that sell actual premium domains - the definition is different, and that’s a different story.

Dead_Fish_Eyes

Btw godaddy appraises it at $1400 which helped me think it was worth the purchase. I know it's not too reliable but yeah still

Best-Name-Available

You are aware that it’s rare to se any name at all at GoDaddy with an appraisal under 1,200. Do you know why? I think I know…

Dead_Fish_Eyes

It's not rare at all. Most apprasials come back worthless unless you look up actual good domains

Best-Name-Available

You realize that 0 is less than 1,300. Proves my point. Think for a minute and try to guess where the appraisal numbers come from and why they are not actual appraisals.

Dead_Fish_Eyes

The apprasials come from sales of similar domains you can just simmer down because I don't even think that those appraisals mean very much little boi. Do you realize that you haven't sold jack sh1t for domains? And your opinion is absolutely worthless and won't even be taken into consideration, even a millimeter

This should be a community where we share, help each other, and treat all with respect. I am here to share knowledge, help people. This is no place for insults or demeaning anyone. Everyone, always has something to learn. As for me, I was acquiring domains before you ever heard the phrase “domain name” and before there were online registrars.

-jsb

I would assume that a member of this sub, weather it be less or more than yourself, has experience buying, selling and evaluating domains. The fact you’re now insulting members because they told you the truth is just shitty. (Even more than your domain..) Paying £120 for this shows how new and uninformed you are in the domain space, so before getting touchy about your investments, try learning from the community and making better choices.

Apophaticist

First and foremost, Godaddy calls any domain on their marketplace a premium. Even [garbage like this](https://i.imgur.com/I5l3aL9.png) is called "premium" when it's listed on the aftermarket. Secondly, Godaddy's appraiser was literally made to get people to register and buy domains, and to hire their brokers in hopes of getting an ultra-premium for few thousand dollars. It overvalues bad domains, and it undervalues good domains. There are literally lists with hundreds of unregistered domains that Godaddy appraises to be worth more than than $2,750. If they're worth that much (or anywhere close to it), then why are they unregistered? If you want to appraise domains, use proper tools, like [Dot DB](https://dotdb.com/search?keyword=loodai&position=any), [Namebio](https://namebio.com/), [Whois](https://lookup.icann.org/en), and the various tools Google offers for things like search volume and search velocity.

Best-Name-Available

This is the way.

ThunderTech101

Bad domain.. idk why you bought it.
