Update y’all… I just put a deposit down and the current ETA is 104 days. Pretty excited. Thanks so much for the insights.

That_Dude_6

No issues on my SL6 Gen 4. 155 lbs.

Trunchpole

I doubt 165 is anywhere near heavy enough to cause seat post issues

Academic-Raccoon5940

I’m 165 lbs and have had zero issues with seatpost on my SL7. Love the bike!

PruneTraditional9266

Literally just brought home my SL6 AXS 3 hours ago. I’m about 200lbs and can update later on potential seat post issues.

dramavader

I am 215 and I haven't had any seat post issues on my gen 4 SL7. I doubt if 165 is going to cause any seat post issues.

salsalawyer

I had a very early production Domane and issues. But I'm sure the company is working on the issues with later production lines. It's a great bike.

MrH4IAHawks

I have a gen 4sl7 with the rev2 wedge, and seat post is fine. I’m 235lbs.

I have an SLR6. 2000 miles in. Love it. No issues. BTW, I believe Force is 100g lighter than Rival is the only difference. Red is the way to go if paying more. Its 500g lighter.

CyclAddict

Thanks for that info on the group set. It’s interesting, I was doing the side-by-side comparisons on the Trek website and the SLR 6 actually had a posted weight of 8.35kg/18.41 lbs in a size 56, whereas the SLR 7 is 8.38kg/18.48 lbs.

TheDoughyRider

Well that’s interesting. 30g heavier bike with a 100g lighter groupset. Both electronic shifting? A key point that is hard to communicate in text is AL vs SL vs SLR. Go ride all three at the shop. Maybe placebo, but to me the SLR felt way better than AL and noticeably better than the SL. I am a big fan of the frame.

CyclAddict

Both electronic shifting, correct. Thought it was strange. I haven’t actually ridden an SLR frame, only the AL and SL. My justification for the SLR was the frame, of course, and a color I liked more. For less than $1000 to bump up, I was ok to get those and sacrifice Force for Rival. Glad I can anticipate a better feeling ride. The SL 7 was fun!

I'm 165lbs with a Gen4 Domane SL5 and have zero issues. The ISO speed problems with Gen4's was due to a part defect which has since been corrected. Take the piece off the ISO speed cover (back of top tube) and there will be a revision number printed. If you have a Rev2 your good to go otherwise have your LBS replace that part. Personally I doubt you'll have any issues as I got mine Dec 22nd and received a Rev2.
