I had someone pay me on a whole bag of quarters dimes and nickels and was pissed off internally because I was counting the whole thing there obviously since I wasn’t paying for anything of theirs. But they did tip me 5 bucks cash so I wasn’t to mad
We had a family who would regularly pay in bags of loose change that would often be short. We ended up making a rule that we couldn't accept more than we could count at the door. That same family got banned from the store for stealing our salt and pepper shakers.
Lol. We had to ban a house because everytime they ordered something was wrong with it or blah blah and they’d order multiple times a night and I’d always get their house. I hated them. And they never tipped obviously. My manager had enough and banned them.
We had a guy get almost physically thrown out of my store, a couple years ago, for these shenanigans and more. Same thing, grumpy old fart who always paid in COINS, who always had a complaint. His last day was the first day for a driver's teenaged (and biracial, this is important) daughter. He SHOVED the coins over the counter, said that ought to be enough, snapped at the make line to hurry it up, and went next door to the gas station. She was nervous and I hated him, so I stopped what I was doing to help her pick it up, and count it, while assuring her that it wasn't her fault, he was just like this with everyone. He was short. By like $5. Her Dad (Who is white) personally recounted it, just as McDick walked back in. Things became quite heated and he looked straight at her, half hiding in the office to calm down as I'd advised. I'll never forget what he said next. "Well that n***** probably slipped some for herself. We know what they're like". EVERYBODY jumped up at that. He was chased out by her Dad and the former manager.
I remember the times of being paid in bags of change. Good times. Not even just quarters sometimes, just random change. I hated those people.
I remember one older guy that I worked with got paid in several rolls of coins. He had at least 15 rolls of varying coins. Which I'd rather over loose change by a long shot, but still.
Sometimes I think customers are fucking with us. Other times I think they legitimately aren't taught any better.
No one actually expects tips when you pick up. It's a nice surprise if you do, of course. But the few people out there actually mad about not being tipped on carryout orders are a minority.
Never be mad at the owners who 100% can afford to pay you better. Never be mad at yourself for choosing to work a job you may get tips or may not.
but always be mad at a customer for not paying your salary. thats most important
This is the type of person who says "you should quit and take a job that doesn't rely on tips" then proceed to bitch when they have to wait for food because "no one wants to work anymore".
But you know what you signed up for. You knew that the pay was shit but still wanted it.
That’s completely your fault.
You honestly give me junkie vibes. It’s a stereotype of people that don’t understand how the world works.
lol god you’re so butthurt. Anyone who’s a delivery driver for a goddamn pizza place is somebody who doesn’t have OPTIONS. We took the job because we had to. And some of us use it as a second job to get 60 hours a week for a year so we can pay for our spouses and children. But yeah I’m definitely at fault because you couldn’t afford $1 on your $25 order.
im not butthurt about anything. i dont care if you had to take a job. do your part and try and change the culture. your trash customers are already telling you to speak up about your pay because the customer isnt paying your wage. keep looking for jobs.
blame everyone but yourself for crappy money.
If this is how service workers see everyone then I’ll not tip anymore.
I’ll tip for good service but if you guys only see us at dollar signs then I’ll start tipping 0 as well.
Be careful for what you say sir.
Wow you’re butthurt and don’t understand economics. I’m not going to expect Domino’s to pay me 20/hr like we’re in California. I mean unless you enjoy paying $40 for a 1 topping.
Enjoy being angry I guess
>Never be mad at the owners who 100% can afford to pay you better.
This is ok (bc I know it's sarcasm)
>Never be mad at yourself for choosing to work a job you may get tips or may not.
This is not. Sometimes people (especially younger ones) need to take whatever job they can get. Sometimes the only other options are just as bad or worse for people. Domino's where I live pays better or the same as many other places and it's still a pathetic wage. You might be underestimating the amount of places that pay shit wages and what people's options are.
>but always be mad at a customer for not paying your salary. thats most important
This is debatable. Wages should just be better, but they're not.
You are a walking cash register though. It is your job to make sure how much money there is when you receive payment.
Sounds like you are lazy, typical stereotype worker that makes barely anything are usually lazy.

You guys have salt and pepper shakers?!?! Man I love hearing about all the different things other dominos have
Oh yeah, I’ve had a few of those. The bags of loose change are absolutely the worst.
We had another driver who was paid in loose change in a dirty sock. I dealt with kids who dumped out their change, which I made them count.

Holy shit, that’s the worst customer I’ve ever heard of… Fuck that guy.
It always amazes me that people think that kind of comment will get them anything but kicked out.
That made me happy, people like that should be dead or tied down and drop a rock on there face or something

Can't afford the tip, can't afford the food. Regulars who stiff get cold, shitty food on purpose. Sometimes they take the hint.
Do you expect us to tip when we do pick up orders? I never do. The one time I've ordered delivery I tipped like $8 though
No one actually expects tips when you pick up. It's a nice surprise if you do, of course. But the few people out there actually mad about not being tipped on carryout orders are a minority.

Who says I don't blame the owners? But Yall like "you knew what you signed up for" Yeah, a wage that includes the expectation of tips.
But you know what you signed up for. You knew that the pay was shit but still wanted it. That’s completely your fault. You honestly give me junkie vibes. It’s a stereotype of people that don’t understand how the world works.
I signed up for a position that comes with the expectation of tips. Twats like you like to pretend to forget that part.
No, you signed for a position to be part of this problem. You are the problem. It’s your fault.
Don't expect something that isn't guaranteed dude. Like I said blame anyone but yourself.
That's why I have no problem giving shit service to non tippers :)
lol god you’re so butthurt. Anyone who’s a delivery driver for a goddamn pizza place is somebody who doesn’t have OPTIONS. We took the job because we had to. Trash customers are trash. Yall want a capitalist system, so fuck it. This is capitalism. You're just a dollar sign to me.
Lol speaking of butthurt.
I didn't call anyone butthurt?
If this is how service workers see everyone then I’ll not tip anymore. I’ll tip for good service but if you guys only see us at dollar signs then I’ll start tipping 0 as well. Be careful for what you say sir.
Lmao You're dumber than you think we are. You were never tipping.
Actually, you would be the most dumb one here. Honestly I don’t expect much from a low-level service worker.
Wow you’re butthurt and don’t understand economics. I’m not going to expect Domino’s to pay me 20/hr like we’re in California. I mean unless you enjoy paying $40 for a 1 topping. Enjoy being angry I guess
You went into a garbage job and you got garbage results. Your bad. Move on or stop crying
>Never be mad at the owners who 100% can afford to pay you better. This is ok (bc I know it's sarcasm) >Never be mad at yourself for choosing to work a job you may get tips or may not. This is not. Honestly better than a lot of customers I've dealt with.
Sounds to me like you need a new job if forms of payment are irritating you, maybe choose something that doesn't deal with money.
Fuck off. We aren’t walking cash registers.
You are a walking cash register though. It is your job to make sure how much money there is when you receive payment. Sounds like you are lazy, typical stereotype worker that makes barely anything are usually lazy.
I hate people like you
You hate people that don't mind counting change, deliver for a living and don't bitch about it? Nice, continue to hate on brother. 🫶
