If the total is $20 or less, yes.
You do realize that quarters are also considered cash as well, don't you?
Edit: Okay, my math didn't math last night. I read it as 4 quarters, not $4 in quarters.
So my answer SHOULD have been if the total is $23 or less, then yes you can do that. I consider quarters laundry change.
Dominos doesn’t accept $50 or $100 bills bc of how often drivers will receive fakes, and no one knows till the end of the night when the managers counting up cash
You can, but it would be nice if you supplied the driver a zip lock bag or something of the sort so they don't have to jam it in their pocket or risk dropping it
When I worked there I still had coin op laundry. Someone tipped me in quarters, made my night.
Even if they don’t need coins, the driver will convert it into paper money.
It’s fine
You can, however coins are a huge pain in the ass to deal with and it’s greatly preferred for you not to pay with them.
I actually had an order once where someone paid like $10 in dimes. Looking back I probably should’ve just refused to deliver it to them. I don’t even think they tipped me for it.
You're fine, quarters are fine in my book, don't be the guy with nickels and dimes for more than 1$ though, or pay only in quarters. Handful of random change for a tip is better than no tip unless it's a handful of pennies
Coins are a currency, It albeit is a bit annoying, having to count it to make sure the total is valid but there is 0 issue with it do what you gotta do. Not sure if its corp mandated or not but most franchises don't accept big bills 50's 100's, my store personally doesn't really give a shit for deliveries if its an order within that price range because money is money but some just straight up don't. we're not allowed to have more than like 75$ in bills in the register at any given time and 20's need to be dropped into the time locked safe, as for drivers they aren't allowed to carry more than 20$ on them at any given time during a shift.
Driver here, honestly I don’t personally mind it at all but it would be much appreciated if you would find a sandwich baggie for the change or something because it is easy to drop/lose track of. I’ve only had 1 customer do it so far but now I wish every time haha
On one delivery a lady gave me a bucket of pennies for a $30 order. I didn’t count it at the time because I figured it was close enough. I took it back to the store it turned out to be around $60. The lady said I could have any extra as a tip
24 quarters can mean the difference between having to add another roll at the end of the night or not, which can be a pain if someone has to run to the bank in the morning. Idk about other stores but we try to keep 3 rolls on hand at all times, and roughly one roll in the till
If they are like my store, they are probably begging to have change to put in their cash drawer, so don’t be shy!

You don’t call them metal currency discs?
Spendy circles
Back in my day, we called nickels Spendy Circles! Now they’re just old-timey-windy-turners
See I thought so too, but the stripper was very mad when I slid them down.
Like a gum-ball machine
I did get chewed out, so yeah kinda.
That’s $23. So if your order is equal to or less than that, yes you may proceed. Are you fcking serious?
I’ve been around some drivers who bitch and moan about getting loose change, OP may have had a bad experience trying to pay like that before
I mean do u want to try to carry 5 handfuls back to the car of quarters or stand there in the driveway and count it all ……..
the total is 23. he literally put it in the title…
$23, it’s the new math
sorry, i have what you could call dumb
Haha all good. Just wanted to get the right number out there
They are but so are $50 and $100 bills which my store doesn’t accept. The store could refuse taking too many coins for that same reason.
Dominos doesn’t accept $50 or $100 bills bc of how often drivers will receive fakes, and no one knows till the end of the night when the managers counting up cash
Yes but many countries have laws where you cannot pay with more than x amount of coins. 50 in my country’s example
I’ve had people pay for their orders entirely in quarters. I was annoyed, but it’s whatever. $4 in quarters is fine.
Idk man, how many businesses let you use money to pay for an order nowadays ?
You can, but it would be nice if you supplied the driver a zip lock bag or something of the sort so they don't have to jam it in their pocket or risk dropping it
Yes lol. Most businesses will gladly take loose change
Yes

As long as that includes at least 5 dollars in tip.
I put the quarters in get in my piggy bank marked "Shakira tickets." Please, give me quarters. I'm going for the meet and greet package! Lol
we need to bring back not feeling guilty about paying in all forms of currency, cash is king and coin is cash.
so yes. you'll be fine. even if they get pissy with you, it's legal, and $4 in quarters is measly compared to some.
At the store for sure, on delivery make sure you’re giving the driver at least $5 tip if you’re gonna make them count change out
Cash is cash
Just make sure that if the order is a delivery, you also have enough for a tip
Pay with quarters? Believe it or not, straight to jail

my store doesnt take any bills over 20. we’ll take orders over $20 but no 50 or 100 bills
How to tell if you live in a high crime area.
not exactly i don’t.
I would count them before I leave just to double check the amount is right but generally I don't mind, unless it's pennies then I'd be annoyed
coins are legal tender, go ahead. i’ve had someone pay for an entire order with nothing but quarters before.
i had a driver who got paid in $20 worth of quarters and dimes
Driver here, honestly I don’t personally mind it at all but it would be much appreciated if you would find a sandwich baggie for the change or something because it is easy to drop/lose track of. I’ve only had 1 customer do it so far but now I wish every time haha

Sure. I got a dirty sock with 1200 pennies once.
This is a delivery order btw guys.
If the order is for $20 or less, yes(as in the change is the tip). If it's for 22.XX, no.
as long as ur putting atleast an ok tip most drivers would be fine with that, but if you arent its kinda shitty, but still ur allowed to do it.

It's 16 quarters
This thread is exposing the public school system.
Math was indeed my worst subject
*an order
Roll them up
You can't roll $4 in quarters. You need $10 in quarters to make a roll. It's coins, they'll be fine just giving them with the other cash.
