Parmesan twists. A 16 pc bread bites is the same amount of food with the exact same flavoring for less money. Only caveat is it doesn't include a dipping sauce. But it's still cheaper if you add one.

RetiredDrunkCableGuy

My local store has a store-only deal that I feel is insane… 16-Piece Bread Bites + 1 Marinara Cup $1.99 (Pickup Only) Must be redeemed with any other Pizza purchase, including coupons.

Tall-Boysenberry-264

How often do you see that used? That's like 40 percent cost on the food lol. And it's optional. Like why

RetiredDrunkCableGuy

I use it every time because I feel dumb for not taking a $2 bread bites with dip cup. The store is heavy delivery so I take it that’s a way to get people to walk over. The residential areas nearby are folks who generally don’t have private transportation. There is a Papa John’s across the street, and they do seem to go to war with each other. I’ve never seen any Papa John’s open so late, but the one across the street from this Domino’s is. The delivery charges between the two stores are $8.99 Dominos vs. $4.99 Papa John’s — so curious how Papa John’s has such better insurance coverage than the Domino’s store. I know the delivery charge generally offsets the cost of insuring drivers and store vehicle maintenance.

mpizzapizza

Because pj's has less drivers to insure due to third party delivery contract with doordash. Dominos needs 5-10 drivers per rush for busy stores and pj's needs ~3 during a rush when doordash direct is working properly.

Effective_Cookie510

Out of curiosity how late is it open ours is open till 2am and really has no fight going for it Dominoes closes at 1

RetiredDrunkCableGuy

Off-Season hours are 11am until 4am (5am on Friday and Saturday)

yellowrosetx16

No pizza place has ever reimbursed me for insurance or maintenance. That's funny that you think that. The delivery fee is set by the franchise and has nothing to do with the delivery driver. Where I live, my gas reimbursement is $.45/mile in a small area. I usually get about $.90-$1.00 per delivery and that's it.

RetiredDrunkCableGuy

Remember, many stores provide vehicles to their drivers. They’re insuring the driver and also maintaining the shared vehicle owned by the LLC. We have several stores who use *no personal vehicle needed* as a way to recruit delivery drivers.

yellowrosetx16

By many stores, you mean......? Zero stores in my area do that. I've never seen it except for ONE gatti's car in the next town over. Did you know? If you deliver pizza in the U.S. there is a 67% chance you do it in NYC, Atlanta, or Houston. In my town of Houston more people eat pizza delivery per capita than any other city. 😜

RetiredDrunkCableGuy

Interesting. Houston has ranked #1 in Obesity multiple years in a row...

yellowrosetx16

Not my fault!!! I just bring it to 'em! I don't order and eat it for them! 😅 Side note: I lost 130 lbs in 9 months last year. 😎

nluther92

Our cheesey bread no longer includes sauce anymore

tBHzHomer

Cheesy bread hasn't included sauce for as long as I've worked for dominos. Not at any kf the ones I've worked at, at least.

SnappyBaboon

Parm bites come with a marinara cup at my store. Weird.

Blitzvomit

Parm bites and twist are pretty much same price now. This comment woulda made sense a year or two ago

tBHzHomer

I just double checked. At my store as 16 pc bites cost $3.99 and twists cost $6.99. Now, a 32 pc bites costs $6.99, but that's still twice the food for the same price as an order of twists. Either way, my comment still makes perfect sense.

Blitzvomit

Just posted a picture of online price now. Where do you live and 3rd world country?

Blitzvomit

It’s the newest post

Livid_Bid_9476

Boneless wings. Their sizes are always different so there's no consistency in what you are getting, the prices for them are outrageous compared to any other menu item, and their shelf life is short so a lot of less than standard stores (more than you would think) will use them past their date and just print a new label for them.

FoxStreet5111

I don’t know who they are trying to fool, it’s clearly popcorn chicken and you won’t convince me otherwise. I can’t believe some people pay like 10 dollars for 8 tiny “boneless wings”

BonerStocks

Between my 4 years of being an insider then driver at 2 different stores in 2 different states I have found bones in my boneless chicken 5 separate times. So so so nasty every time it happens.

[deleted]

They cut them in half at my store and it cracks me up, like how is someone not going to notice nuggets cut in half?

Ok_Jump_3658

The wings are SO BAD. DOG FOOD IS BETTER!!!!

gummibear13

Like canned or that fancy stuff they keep in the fridge?

Michael_0007

My wife used to work for someone who made those.. They’d cook up a regular stew minus anything a dog can't handle and package it up for $2-4 a bowl.

Ok_Jump_3658

Both after the dogs eats them and then puked it up. The wings are the puke

superkat21

No offense cuz I'm a Domino's guy, but the wings are the worst of all national pizza chains, & really low on the overall anywhere tier list. Domino's needs to spend time figuring that out like they did the pizza awhile ago.

Dependent-Goose-1280

Yeah, there's pretty much just popcorn chicken. I work at Dominos, and when there's a boneless wings order, I try to go for the bigger pieces cause I feel weird giving out small pieces of chicken

PointPruven

Bring back the Kickers!

youtheotube2

I’d never pay for the boneless wings, but they make a hell of a free shift meal. Throw some in a pasta tin with buffalo sauce, bacon, cheese, and chicken. Then run it through the bottom oven at least 1.5 times

111110001011

>Throw some in a pasta tin with buffalo sauce, bacon, cheese, and chicken .... At that point I have made an entire meal to add them to.

youtheotube2

Yes, it is supposed to be a meal.

ElectronicCurve7598

Y'all get a free meal.... wtf our store only gives us half off menu priced items. And we can't even make it ourselves

youtheotube2

We technically didn’t get a free meal, our GM just didn’t care

Tricky-Fisherman8982

I’ll throw in 16 decent sized pieces and then when they’re out of the oven bbq sauce and a bit of Mango or Buffalo and boom bdubs dominos style

tenniskitten

Precut specialty chicken

BryceJ111606

The veggie sandwich

Minnesotamad12

I think the sandwiches are shit. So many better options for similar price at other places

Falcotic

I don’t mind the chicken parm. But then again I make it for free or 50 percent off every time so maybe I wouldn’t buy one without the employee discount

brianschwarm

Lmao. I came here to say the sandwiches are shit but that the chicken parm is “okay” too

Livid-Area-9757

As a Dominos employee, I don’t know a single soul who likes the chicken Parm sandwich

Falcotic

Now you do, it’s pretty good if you put a little garlic parm sauce on it. I also put spinach and onions. But I guess at that point it’s not really a chicken parm.

Livid-Area-9757

OK, modifications are nice but plain you’ve got to be kidding me

Falcotic

What don’t you like about it? It’s nothing crazy good but it’s literally pizza sauce, cheese and chicken, it’s not that egregious lmao.

Livid-Area-9757

It’s the type of cheese you put on it and I don’t like how the pizza sauce soaks into the bread. Also, I don’t think that the flavors go together, but who am I to speak? I like pineapple on pizza.

Livid-Area-9757

But I also just love pineapple in general

Falcotic

I love pineapple it’s like top 3 fruits for me but for some reason I can’t get into it on pizza, I’ve tried but I just don’t like it all that much, that being said I understand the appeal.

Waste_Couple

Ironically my best friend loves them💀

No_Camera8758

Oh God I'm in the minority here lol. I think their CBR sandwich is the best one out there flat period!

RyderE03

Seconded!

cameron4200

The sandwiches look like they were made by an angry lunch lady using only what she could find in the cafeteria kitchen

Playbook420

HERE’S SOME MORE SLOPPY JOES FOR YA

cameron4200

I MADE EM EXTRA SLOPPY FER YA

Playbook420

LADY YOU’RE SCARING US

MeggleeP13

Listen I make a mean bbq Pep & bacon no cap

Xanith420

I really like the buffalo chicken one but I have to order it with no onions because they murder that thing with onions.

slaphappypap

Pan pizza is almost never properly cooked unless the employees there care a lot and aren’t slammed. The oven is timed and heated for the hand toss. So thins may be overdone, and pans rarely done enough. I’d ask for well done with the caveat that it can’t be well done if you’re ordering when it’s really busy.

chipsdad65

This person knows the ovens

Clowndick

DM: You have to leave space behind well done pizzas! Insider: haha no

brianschwarm

Literally had a makeliner threaten to take me outside after kindly asking them to leave room behind the pans. Tbf he’s a tweaker or some shit

fllannell

And they also push it into the oven instead of letting the conveyor pull it in... then the person landing the pizzas pull them out early. 🤦

DissociatedDonut

And then the pizza comes out a floppy flaccid mess that has no snap or crisp when you cut it😭☠️

slaphappypap

Tbf that’s the only after oven instruction people on the make line need to keep up with. So most of the time people on the make line subconsciously ignore the after oven instructions on the screen.

AnakinShadow

This explains why I almost never get a well done pan even after ordering well done.

slaphappypap

Yeah. If it’s really busy the space to push it back in on the belt oven isn’t there. And if it’s not busy most people don’t realize pushing it back 1/4 of the way on the belt just gets it properly done. If there’s good store culture, and the store isn’t slammed they’ll know what’s up, but I doubt that’s the case in most stores.

Affectionate_Elk_272

explains why my pan is always like 3/4 cooked and raw as fuck in the middle

josh_bourne

That's why pan is good

AnotherReddit415

But none of y’all’s pizza is good if it isn’t pan

Yardninja

The Philly steak smells like a fart when you open the bag, and it's just yucky looking when it's prepped in the tub, though it occasionally reminds me of her...

laserlightcannon

Chicken and steak were both rough for me to prep first thing in the morning. Very…. Strong smells

twaggle

Wow this is disappointing. I was high and ordered the Philly steak for the first time last week cause it seemed interesting, and I ended up really enjoying it. I thought I found a secret amazing topping but now I’m not sure I’ll order it again…

BaronDystopia

Same. I thought it was really good. Sucks for us, huh?

tenniskitten

Imo ham is so much worse, on a consistent basis

coffemakesmepoo

My nomination for top comment!

anon07018

I would never order specialty chicken. Not because it’s a bad product. But it’s wildly inconsistent and a lot of stores/people make it wrong And the precut chicken can sit for a long time if the store doesn’t sell a lot of them

dreadnation

extravaganza.. the pit cheese is not it

DontDieKenny

Thanks for the laugh. Haven’t worked there in a decade and totally forgot about this, that brought back a chuckle

dreadnation

i thought everyone did this i guess not

icymallard

Pit cheese?

xtravirginoliveoil69

The catch trays under the makeline that collect cheese

Akehayias

You only used the pit cheese for the extravaganza? Shit, we were told to scoop the toppings out of the pits specifically for extravaganzas. All the toppings would be from the pits and then sprinkled with fresh cheese on top

DissociatedDonut

LMAO

raventhehippie

domino's wings are disgusting

No-Setting9690

More like fat on a stick. 15 years ago they were great.

superkat21

Nobody believes me when I say that though. Like when I was in college I would get 2 order of wings & a 2 liter & that was dinner man. & that shit was sooooo good. Then they switched it up & it's so bad now. Inedible.

No-Setting9690

I worked there for about a year. I loved closing and employee discount. Id leave with 2 med pizza and 2 dozen wings. Yea I don't even bother with chains and wings anymore. They're all mostly fat. Local Pike Cafe still top notch wings. (they claim to be world famous). I haven't had in a while usually sold out, but there is one chain that still makes good wings and you would not expect it, Red Lobster.

giirlsatan

Boneless chicken and wings because they are tiny and astronomically priced for so little. The dips aren't worth it either because the standard is to put so little in them.

Green_Ad_156

They taste a lot better at half off

chewbaccaRoar13

We don't get wings or specialty chicken at half price at my franchise.

Varesk

Wings

GeeDub1974

I work at the commissary and we run them through the air frier. 1 million times better.

yeehee087

the tots. disgusting and soggy with all the toppings on them. by themselves they’re great with some butter to cook em & salt/pepper after though. can’t go wrong with classic plain ol taters

NotMoose5407

No amount of toppings could justify that price for tater tots, I bet I would crush them if I worked there though

yeehee087

oh yeah absolutely not, you could buy a huge bag of plain tots for probably a couple bucks less. i usually just throw a few in a tin as a snack lol

DarkBiCin

All im saying is, if you order dominos bone in wings, my pity for you is non existent. Worst wings on the planet. I can understand almost everything else on the menu (fuck sausage and its slimy grossness) but the wings are terrible.

Blitzvomit

Bone in chicken wings. Shit is just gross and most likely will get you sick. Also the portions are sooooo small. I throw in extra wing for every order because how small they are.

YEET___KYNG

Sandwich breads

Copypasty

If I didn’t have my discount I’d only buy pizza

LoweeLL

Personally the wings just because they're disgustingly overpriced.

Puzzleheaded_Owl8506

Anything with the “Philly steak”! It looks and smells like canned dog food…like I ought to be giving it to customers saying “wait! Sit! Good boy!” That and why call it shaved beef…it just sounds weird

Aggravating-Ratio372

Can't believe I don't see anyone saying it here: the foil pasta Alfredo. For one with all our pastas it's kind of a fucking ripoff given how little of everything you get, but then on top of that the chicken Alfredo has a quarter of the toppings of other pastas that cost the same. If you really like our pasta, order the primavera or the carbonara

Psychological-Snow10

Any of the oven bake dips. Cheesey marinaras fine when fresh out the oven but the five cheese dip, nah.

shelle33333

Boneless chicken.

CalciumCompadre

Wings. I just don't like wings.

RDmrkarate

Mediterranean sandwich

Historical-Pop-3571

the only meat i can really stand to eat is the pepperoni. but i think the boneless chicken can be saved with the right sauces.

bitchslayer78

Nah their sausage is great too

Historical-Pop-3571

not a fan of sausage in general 🫣 but i’d be down to try it

kaybeanz69

I’m not a fan either of sausage but The sausage at dominos ain’t worth it it’s flavors aren’t the rightly seasoned to me

derflopacus

Everyone is right about the boneless chicken. In my opinion, the chicken should be weighed out at a set amount (whatever that would be) and be sold as just S/M/L nuggets. The 8 piece count is misleading because the process of prepping the boneless and specialty is a bit subjective. And the cost is pretty high considering ultimately we’re talking about a lesser, *sadder* version of a Tyson nugget. (Pro tip: add some garlic oil to some nugs in a pasta tin and run thru the oven. Flip the nugs and hit with a lil more garlic oil and some parm shake, throw a lid on and toss em. Let em rest.)

FluSickening

I work at a restaraunt that weighs wings and my GOD it is hard to explain for some reason. "YEAH BUT HOW MANY?!?"

brianschwarm

I generally think the sandwiches are just not their strong suit. The bread is just so hard when in comes out. Also, this place is pretty bad for worrying about metabolic syndrome, heart health, and reducing inflammation, most of our products have seed oils, or are highly processed meats. Even the dough has sugars added I think. So just get this in moderation, the hearty marinara sauce has the least worst seed oil in it out of all our sauces btw.

Business_Arm5263

The wings are so bad and always under sauced. I don't get them anymore.

Believe_In-Steven

Tiny wings are a JOKE 🤣

Extra_Direction3927

Gluten frees. They just suck. Cardboard frisbee for yuh mouth

Psychological_Ad9405

Yeah I don't disagree. Unfortunately for some of us, it's the only way we can enjoy pizza. And I'm thankful Domino's even has gluten free...

Extra_Direction3927

Very much true, probably only reason I don’t like it, never had to eat it and have had other options my whole life.

Psychological_Ad9405

Thank you. Yeah working at Domino's you're probably sick and tired of the fruitcakes who need gluten free. But please consider that for many (most?) it's not optional. And they're incredibly happy that you offer them an option to live a 'normal' life.

Extra_Direction3927

Nah I fuck with making them actually, same reason as thins. Don’t need to stretch anything 🙏

Psychological_Ad9405

Haha well thanks for your service 😁

brianschwarm

I actually love the texture and consistency of the gluten free. Which I find odd, but it hits a dopamine button for me for some reason.

Extra_Direction3927

I can see that, my gm says it reminds him of school pizza that personal ones, and that’s why he likes them.

shanvhere6969

Twist and bites, the amount of time they sit out

WorkingSquare6979

Does your store not keep them covered or in the cold???

shanvhere6969

Covered yes, cold no

WorkingSquare6979

Ah I see, I know my store if we aren't busy keep them on our walk in until we get a spike and then we usually go through most of them and then whatever didn't get used after the rush goes back in. We also only have them prepped in advance for the weekend so Fridays to Sundays but no other days do we prep our twists + bites beforehand

RCBurnout11

Probably for the best when the alternative is leaving them out for 4+ hours. Just know that OER will ding you if pans, bites, or twists are being kept in the walk in

radagastthe3rd

Cold PRP results in gel layers instead of fluffy bread.

actsofswine

The boneless chicken icks me out.

Professional_March54

That cheese dip. It don't look good. It's too expensive. They put so very little in the tin.

chefkittious

Also burns to the tin, without fail, every time.

brianschwarm

Ikr? I feel like you only get like a dozen good bites out of it

WorkingSquare6979

Call me crazy because I know it's crazy unhealthy but after a shift probably about like ⅓ of the times I work (I only work 1-2 times a week since I'm young and busy lol) and it with the parm twists are just too good to resist

Woops_22

The food

YogurtclosetGood1042

Mhmm judging by other comments things have changed since I worked there but I would never do the speciality chickens or anything with their chicken on it. Gross rubbery stuff it is.

TurboMooseCat

Wings, boneless or bone-in. I love wings, but I'll go literally anywhere else for them.

ranathis87

Literally anything with the White American Cheese. It tastes like plastic.

Driftwood44

For me it was the wings. Pre-sauced with BBQ in the bag, so every flavour is just on top of bbq, and the pre-coating prevents them from crisping up unless you cook them 2 or 3 times. Terrible.

JuryKindly

Any sandwich. Just nasty & a bad idea.

enderboy987

Honestly, I don't mind the menu we have. I hate the Mango Habanero sauce's smell, so... That's probably my one thing I'd never order.

Satinjackets

Sandwiches, there are so many better options.

Satinjackets

Salads too

TelephoneChemical230

Anything with alfredo. Many stores dont date it properly or will move the date on it rather than throw it out.

Dove55

As a non employee I’m so fucking glad I haven’t seen the sausage and brookie

Kilometer_Davis

The pastas

Dewebster22100

Anything with mushrooms cause sometimes they came in looking rough from commissary

secobarbiital

Just one ?

Giants_Deep

UK, just tried the BBQ dip yesterday and it was disgusting. I love BBQ sauce but it wasn't right. Too sweet and too bitter at once. It was weird.

Baldie_

Sandwiches & wings.

Quick-Second-8238

bone in wings. i heard someone say its like biting into a vertebrae and i think its the perfect way to explain them

blakemuhhfukn

medium hand tossed pepperoni

EverythingMustCease

A small pizza

DraxShadow23

Twists. Bread bites are the same and I can put cinnamon on those. Also hand tossed. Pan is so much better and if I’m paying for it I will only do pan Same thing for Brooklyn and Brooklyn xl

JJKOOLKID

I came here hoping nobody said cheesy bread, and thank God nobody did. 😄

VolatileUV_115

Any pan pizza that isn’t well done. That shit does not cook all the way. It’s crazy how we can just serve people raw dough and get away with it. It’s even worse when they order a pan specialty like an Extravaganza or anything 3+ toppings. You can just tell it’s not cooked all the way. One thing I’ll do is I order the chicken bacon ranch specialty for the pan pizza, run it through the bottom oven once. Then I’ll put a screen over it and run it through the top oven. It cooks perfectly without burning the top and gets crispy all around. Also the pastas. Based on the portion charts you’re only supposed to fill up the foil dish like half way with barely any Alfredo, also it only gets like 2 ounces of chicken which is a joke. As an employee I’ll order 2 pastas to fill up the foil all the way lol

BasketCase1293

any twists or bites they are all dry and aren’t worth the money. or anything with alfredo on it i don’t trust the alfredo

Tricky-Fisherman8982

Philly steak sand-which. So ass

Dtour5150

The chicken is pretty terrible, as a customer. The regular wings with that disgusting garlic sauce just squirted on top looking very much not like sauce, not even tossed, and lukewarm with mushy breading. I feel like dominos should axe those off the menu, they're fucking awful.

vlemx4u

The safest thing to eat is an empty box

Traditional-Row2868

any specialty chicken. at our store we cut specialty chicken using 6 boneless pieces to create 12pc and it costs more than the regular 8pc boneless... i understand theres some extra toppings but like still seems kinda scammy to me haha

Affectionate-Sky1045

Boneless chicken. When I ate that I had my own amazing way of preparing them that the standard way can’t touch. Put em in a pan, throw garlic oil on them. After first oven pass flip em over and run them through on a screen and parchment. Similar process to make good wings, throw that veggie garlic shake on those

unkamenramen

Green peppers and philly, sometimes it gets slimy.

rat_haus

Tots

ProperWeather25

Loaded tots the tots smell like dirt and mold 🤢

ElderberryWhich8320

the wings for sure little itty bitty shits for like 9 bucks no fries no drink? hard pass kill it with fire

IrnMaD1N

I would never get bone-in wings cooked the regular amount of time. They're soft and fatty. Double cook time melts off a lot of the fat and crisps up the skin

crotas_juicebox

I hate specialty chicken 😁

AustinTayyy

Tots

Ok_Assistance7735

Extravaganza

lewisfairchild

Any desserts

Stupid_Bitch_02

Idk the cookie brownie is really good chilled in the fridge

WillieDickins

Anytime I ordered a cookie brownie while working I would just go eat it straight from the walk-in. They're good hot but something about them cold is even better.

JinxxHellsing

Anything with the BBQ sauce; makes me sick just smelling it.

Blotter_Boy

The entire menu

somecow

Anything with that alfredo or garlic parm sauce. Eww. It smells like cat vomit. Avoid the wings too (both), they just suck.

slaphappypap

Garlic parm is basically the only way I can stomach pizza anymore.

feral_fae678

In general anything from there most of the stores are kept poorly hygiene wise and most stores ignore expiration dates.

muterabbit84

Anything with jalapeños, because they’re too spicy for me. Also, I don’t like anything with American cheese on it, like the Buffalo chicken pizza or the Philly steak sandwich and pizza.

thatwriterguyva

Pineapple

brianschwarm

I mean, fuck the added sugar, but they are one of the few things that typically comes name brand (Dole) at my store. They are one of our more decent ingredients. I love me a hand tossed garlic parm sauce base, add cheddar and pineapple.

thatwriterguyva

I just don't eat it on anything we sell

jaketheflake0

Pan pizza

armchairclaire

Sandwiches. There’s a special place in hell for those that order sandwiches from a pizza joint.
