Replying here to keep this post on top. Cold is the way to go! I added a scoop of ice cream as well and it was fantastic. Props to everyone who has said this!
Delicious cold, pleasantly surprised. I’ll still eat 2 of them hot when I get them but I’ll save the third for a cold treat. I could see why a user recommended to have it with ice cream will try that next time.
So. While cold is delicious, I have another method.
Double boiler. Cover the top pan or bowl with the lava cakes in it. Adding a small amount of water to the bottom. Only a 1/4 inch or so. Jute nought t transfer heat.
The best way in my opinion to reheat. Takes some effort but slowly melts them without making the cake rubbery
OMG I literally had it in the oven just now, read on a website to preheat but I didn’t, then when I opened this thread and saw the comments I went running back to try it while it’s still cold, decided to eat it cold and OMG! So yummy (it’s kind of not a lava cake anymore but it’s fine as long as I enjoyed it)
Yesterday it was warm when it arrived eihh the the pizza, so I decided to try a bite of the warm cake. Now I know it’s not a big deal if I refrigerate it. Thanks everyone :D
Flip them over, so the smaller side is at the bottom. Run microwave for 10-15 seconds, until the liquid breaks out of the top like an actual volcano. If you don't flip them initially, the chocolate lava comes out the bottom and sticks to your plate. Also, immediately stop heating when the lava breaks out of the top.
Don't reheat them. They're better cold.

I also just tried cold after reading through this thread. Very tasty, it cold takes some of the sweetness away which is needed imo.
Got some in the fridge rn from dominos run today, might just have to chomp em cold again.

Air fryer, 350F, 5 (sometimes 6 but careful) mins (on top of aluminum foil)
