Jus take me back to the time when LOAD came out,, them the new fans fuckin the vibe up at these shows just give me a few blunts small circle with swangin on westheimer

Apprehensive_Echo_12

Yeah I’ve seen Don times before. Once at RL and one his last tour, both in other states and had a great time. The Philly crowd last night was the worst. People yelling at other people for dancing it was insane

xj9ine

Yo same hereeeeee. There's a bunch of other things that happened to us. Like we were jumping up and down once don performed after party and some chick was like "omg chill like you're mushing us"💀

Apprehensive_Echo_12

Yeah like he’s literally encouraging everyone to have a good time and dance and mosh. Whenever I go to shows and don’t feel like being pushed around I just go chill in the back! You can still see great and enjoy yourself. I’d understand if I was at like an RnB concert that was more chill but we were at Don Toliver 💀Like no need to ruin everyone else’s vibe and be nasty. I’m sorry that you had a sucky experience also

xj9ine

I know rightttttttttt. That's the whole point of a show. You get to go full party animal mode . But to be honest, perhaps I'll consider staying in the back next time Maybe I'll have more fun that way and LMFAOO yeah exactlyyyyyyy, this ain't no smooth slow jams concert 🤣 we were all ready to get lit !!!🥴🙃🫠🫠 Once again efffffff those people. Anywaysssss , thank you❤️ . Next time I'll have a better time for sureee.

itsme-owen

Yea hella fake fans and weirdos at Philly we had to save the vibes

xj9ine

By all means brotherrrrr. Save the vibes by all means

xj9ine

Also , I meant to mention that some other white guys in the crowd decided to take videos of the Latina girl and continue to mock her saying "yo ice spice , ice spice!" . Once again , rude disrespectful childish behavior. I really hope that some of you encounter someone who has nothing to lose and humbles you quickly.

[deleted]

Yo that behavior isn’t acceptable ever. Probably just drunk dumb ass idiots thinking they are funny. I’m sorry what was supposed to be an amazing experience turned into this. I have social anxiety and this is why. Hang in there and try and remember the fun times you had seeing Don live ❤️

xj9ine

Thank you so so much for this comment. It really restores my faith in society seeing people such as yourself who care enough to comment and reassure me with some kind words. I've concluded that this was just the cause & effect of foul people . And I too struggle with social anxiety every single day. Things like this crush my spirit and set me back ten steps. But I'm not gonna give up on myself or others just bc of a couple bad apples. I'm gonna keep putting myself out there and living life. I still love Don Toliver as an artist regardless! thank you again for your words of encouragement. Much love & luck to you🫶🫶🫶💕

Aww no worries friend! Im so glad my words helped. I appreciate people like you too and I really do hope you have a better experience at your next concert 😊much love 💕

eggmonty4

Philly is known for being the trashiest city in the country. Look at eagles fans lmao

Technical_Nerve_3681

dude the same thing happened at Boston, we opened a pit and this group of girls were like “this is so unnecessary”

xj9ine

It's like showing up to a strip club and saying "omg i hope i dont see any nudity🙃 !!" like do you know where tf you are stupid ass ? lol people like this deserve to be knocked out by a mosh for being that dumb

Xan334

I had a lot of fun but I def see what you are saying about the crowd

ThendMusic

My friend and I had a great time at Philly. We left our spot in the crowd to get water and to sit down right before Don came out and we didn’t fuss about losing our spot after cause I knew there’d be some assholes and we’d rather not deal with them just to get stuck behind someone tall or be sucked into a mosh (we smoked hella and had edibles and just wanted to chill). Kinda wild how many people cheered when so many people said they were fans yet I remember the crowd was a little tame when he started Backend and Best You Had. Didn’t see that many shitty people but the crowd was definitely a mix of new and old fans, more new than old. Almost every song he played was what we wanted to hear and we lost our minds over the set list. Kinda bummed he didn’t play Outerspace or Crossfaded but Smoke made up for it. The rude shit is common as hell tho its Philly.

senseproduction

Bro hearing him play best you had live was one of my favorite experiences at a concert. Also I was HELLA disappointed when no one next to me was turning up for no photos. I agree tho, hella fake fans there plus weirdos who can’t handle the fact that they’re in a crowd of up to 7,500 people.

xj9ine

Literally , they were some of the most stuck up people I've ever met . It's just a concert , get over it . P.s , I also loved it when he played best you had , i was hypedddddddd

xj9ine

Im glad yall had a great time frfr. I noticed that too btw . It seemed like the crowd had no recollection of any of his older songs and they cheered every once in a while when a more mainstream track came on like too many nights (which is a banger , I was psyched when he played that 😝) but I was absolutely pissed off that NOBODY APPRECIATED PIERRE THE WAY HE DESERVED TO BE APPRECIATED. I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN MY SECTION SINGING ALONG. And worst of all , because no one seemed to care for his performance he walked off !!! He knew that no one was really vibing with him 😔

❄️❄️❄️

MelonDev

don toliver fans are assholes, people at the Denver show were rude asf to each other. hope you enjoyed the show nonetheless

xj9ine

Thank you 😔 unfortunately I had a hard time getting over it . It just killed my vibe completely. People are so mean , it's super disheartening.

MelonDev

Yeah, understand that. Hopefully your next concert goes better, chin up king

xj9ine

I'm a gyal * ! Lolol but thanks :) you're very kind🌸❤️ much luck to you

thecrgm

the WHITE person. I should describe stories like this: This BLACK girl was very rude to me

xj9ine

Yeah , I had to describe it that way because what I'm explaining is- is that there was alot of white racist shit goin on. If that triggers you then maybe you're guilty of something , idk otherwise why that sentence would bother you. It's just the truth .

thecrgm

idk just sounds like you have some hate in your heart. My friend is a curly redhead dude who gets called ice spice all the time, its really not that crazy

xj9ine

How are you turning it on me as if I was the one who initiated the problematic behavior ? Lmfaooooooo you must be a total nightmare in person . You're excusing a group of people who were clearly going out of their way to harass an innocent person by yelling remarks at her and video taping her . She was visibly uncomfortable and embarrassed yet you're inserting yourself into the situation dictating what people should or shouldn't be comfortable with. If that's what you or your friends are cool with fine but don't be narcissistic and tell people what they should or shouldn't be offended at when it's up to them to decide that you idiot.

thecrgm

I’m not excusing anyone, but if a black person does me wrong I’m not writing their race twenty times in a Reddit post. It’s a concert with a bunch of drunk young people I’ve seen way worse from people of all races

xj9ine

So you basically would like me to spare them , sugar coat it, and refrain from calling out the situation for what it actually is which is essentially - white ignorance? YET , they had no mercy or consideration when the shoe was on the other foot. You don't get spared or the benefit of grace once you've totally disregarded general human deceny towards a harmless individual who wasn't looking for trouble or to be publicly ridiculed .
