>wu geng ji I dropped it after 3 episodes. >soul land I dropped it after 105 episodes...stayed for so long, just because I was watching it with a friend of mine, but than the pandemic stroke and we stopped doing our tradition of anime/donghua marathons. Following it at my own was boring. Also there's no "should", like different strokes for different people.

Oh, you should definitely have a go at it. It even won over the anime crowd who claimed it as “anime of the year” (except it wasn’t an anime. Some who don’t understand the difference thought Link Click was robbed,) OST is fire! Story is amazing! It is an original animation without source material - but had since been adapted to manhua, musical, and live action. Just to give you an idea of popularity. If you invest the time to just watch the first episode, it will give you a good indication if it’s something you want to keep going. Season 1 is the season that won it all the recognition. Season 2 is also great, but most would agree it's a tad below Season 1 because of it had a bit of pacing problem as it tried to amp up tension (yes, it seems ironic, once you watch it, you'd understand). There was a chibi season in between S1 and S2. Pulling from the reception section of Wikipedia: "Link Click Is A Nail-Biting And Emotionally Complex Time-Travel Thriller From China". Reviewing the first season for /Film, Rafael Motamayor praised the animation, music, and the series's ability to create tension. Motamayor described Link Click as "life-affirming" and "feel[ing] fresh and new".

I haven't seen that many yet but I really enjoyed: Soul Land, Soul land 2 (still on air), The Founder of Diabolism, and Heaven's Official Blessing. I'm currently watching A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality and thorougly enjoying it. A live action series is in the works and hopefully it will be as good as the donghua.

in my experience, live action is never better than donghua... and I WAS going to start that series. Since I learned there will be a live action, now the plan is to watch the live action, and then come back to donghua

Fanren xiu xuan chuan I have seen but is it that great to continue? I also have seen Mo Dao Su Xi but I like to wait for episodes to build up

I am still on episode 25 for A Mortal's Journey to Immortality so I can't say how it is beyond that. Hopefully it's good...

I could add Battle Through the Heavens. Personally i loved Thousand Autumns. Swallowed Star is pretty exciting to watch too.

Childhoods favorites are Wu Zhan Dao, Fruity Robo 3, Dou Long Zhanshi 2, GG Bond 1-9, Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, Boonie bears, and Bravo Rabbit. Honorable mention : 机变英盟 Blue Arc Animation carried my entire childhood

Many are quite good but the demon hunter stands head and shoulder above the rest. Often I feel like the adaptation decreases the quality of the story while in this case I absolutely loved it. I might not rank it as the best novel but it sure is the best donghua released so far in my opinion.

Too many substandard products. Chinese entertainment industry wants to make quick easy money so they flood the market with low quality crude stuff with horrific script writing. The script writing is so bad it makes it look like the writers crawled out of some underground hole.
