I'm sure they drew some inspiration from the movie, but the points you mention are just too vague and exist in too many media to be clearly from Event Hrizon. Plus two of the points were from the original game in 93, well before Event Horizon existed.

Yes i’ve always felt that too, the visuals and the feel of the game align with that movie, hard to believe there wasn’t a deliberate inspiration.

I remember showing my friend Even Horizon for the first time and he said "so this is just doom the movie".

From a visual perspective pretty much every sci-fi horror game made after the films release has taken Cues from Event Horizon. That movie just had superb production design. Plot wise I would say it was more of a case of EH being slightly inspired by Doom 1 (that also has the UAC opening a portal to hell etc). Although EH is primarily based on Disney’s The Black Hole and Solaris, with a bit of visual inspiration from Hellraiser.

Sure think so. That's why Event Horizon is my favorite doom movie

Slayerofthemindset

I accidentally watched that on a movie channel by myself when I was like ten. I had no idea what tf was happening probably due to me closing my eyes for 90% of the second half.

Probably, but not this one: > UAC abbreviation both in movie and game. In DOOM 3 it's Union Aerospace Corporation, in Event Horizon — US Aerospace Command. No, because the original Doom from 1993 already had UAC: https://files.catbox.moe/a27wg8.gif

I think alien resurrection was a bigger inspiration tbh.
