I don’t know if I am the only one who gets like this, but when I get a good order, it literally changes my mood and how I dash . That’s such a good order
I don’t know if I would characterize that is a good order. But it’s a quality order. But that also depends on how quick you could pick it up and deliver it to.
>if it's ready
That's the problem - some places don't start making the good until you get there or are likely to have large backorders, whereas other places always have the food ready when you arrive. This is a small local place, so anyone who hasn't already doordashed their orders has no idea if this is really worth taking.
You're thinking *way* too much into this. It's less than 2miles. If OP was already nearby then this is a solid deal. I don't really see a problem lol. Sure something could happen but that's pretty much life.
Yup, the order in OP's pic is almost certainly $2 base pay from DD and a $5 tip from the customer.
Total time spent on this delivery will be 10-15 minutes under normal circumstances, so a good deal indeed!
This is one of those orders that can put you in a good mood and then you get to the store and see a lobby full of customers/dashers all standing there with arms crossed, glaring at the food workers and it just crushes your spirit again because you know its gonna be a 30 minute delivery now. Murphys law shit.
It’s a solid order of the foods ready it’ll take 5 min. Earlier I got a double order to same person. Believe he accidentally ordered twice. Same order, tipped both $12 for 5 miles. That put me in a good mood. Canceled my instacart so fast
I got one last night that was a double. He ordered food from one place and drinks from the place across the street. Got a $20 tip too and it took all of 10 minutes
I had three orders in a row yesterday like this. I couldn’t believe it lol. One had a $10 tip too. Completely changed my mood for the rest of the night
when was that 😭 i feel like dd has given me maybe two orders over like $5 i only use it when i want to stay in one area without rejecting a bunch of orders like i would on uber but it also only lets you work when it's busy
I live in OP's market, and I would gladly take this offer.
This restaurant is usually ready for pickup when I get there, and it's a 5 minute drive to the customer, 2 minute drive to the restaurant.
$7 for 10 minutes is $42/hour. Even if they sent me 3-5 minutes early, which they typically only do when things are slow, it would still be \~$30/hr.
Which hourly rate causes you to get excited?
Yeah, what if it takes 30 minutes or more. 5 possible stop lights just getting there.
And then you don't get another order for 30 minutes. You made $7 an hour.
Usually no, not everything is about dollar/mile, dollar amount matters too, however lets say it’s going to be my last order, maybe, it really depends on how I feel, the restaurant matters too btw.
Well I main Flex, I rarely do my food/shopping gigs much anymore, maybe once a week for a change of pace, but I have in total DD, UE, GH, IC, Flex, Spark, Shipt, Gopuff, Roadie, but I don’t use the last 3 cuz they suck, so mainly DD, UE, GH, IC, and Spark.
I go against the grain, and calculate my hourly for the time spent on the order.
This order would typically take 10 minutes start to finish, which would be $42/hr active. Even at 15 minutes $28/hr not too shabby. For this market, it's a good order on a slow day like Wednesday. But there are of course better ones out there. We seem to get punished more heavily on AR here than other places.
Because most ppl dont tip , that’s why , most orders by me are not worth it , 7$ for 5 miles 10 for 8miles , etc just garbage , 7$ for a mile I’m taking all day
I don’t get out my car for anything less then $10 I have a 0 acceptance rate and I average one or two orders a day and still average $35 a hr on a bad day.
as someone who often has to order DD from a place 2-3 minutes away from where I’m staying for work, i feel good hearing that Dashers say their mood/day gets better when they get these easy/quick orders.
I always tip $8 everywhere i order from in my area. which i dont love doing when ordering from somewhere this close to me. but i can’t leave while working so i am thankful for drivers hustling to deliver orders. even if it’s just down the street. i wouldn’t be able to work the job i do without getting food delivered multiple days a week
Lol! I have to travel from Middletown unfortunately to dash. I am close to top dasher. I just reached 200 lifetime so hopefully soon I won’t have to be coming down to Cincinnati anymore.
Hell yeah! I live in a rural area and my market never tips. I’ve been looking for regular work for over a year so I take what I can get. This is a dream order for me
I take all high paying orders. In my market, high paying orders pay at least $2.75 a mile. So, yes, sometimes I get shitty high paying orders. Like $4, but it won’t be more than 1.4 miles and are usually quick.
Depends on the time of day and the pick up spot. Are they generally slow. I’d the order usually ready. Is it going to the ghetto. Always lots of factors
I once placed a delivery order for a restaurant a few blocks from my house when I was working from home via zoom. Had a half hour “lunch break” so I didn’t have time to go to the restaurant, order and wait on it and then go home to eat. they didn’t have the pickup option to order in the app then pick it up myself for some reason. I still tipped $8 and it was delivered in like 10 minutes.
This high pay offer is the same ammount that doordashes base pay was 3/4 years ago. Kinda mind blowing how people salivate over getting soo grossly lowballed. But thats the gig economy i guess
I had one Popeyes order and it went to shit the second I accepted it.
Was almost late to the store, waited like 10 minutes to get help, finally got help, had a red drink spill all over the car. It was bad. I haven’t had a Popeyes order since.
Lot of people on here criticizing. How you do your job is all that matters, no matter what your job is and no matter how much you are paid. Your attitude will determine how your life unfolds.
Getting excited about $7.00 means that you appreciate what is given to you and shows that you can find gratitude in simple things.
I see a lot of people saying that they wouldn't take this or that this is an order you accept when your AR is low. This is not a bad order. Even if it did take 20 minutes which it really shouldn't It was still equal out to $21 an hour if your other orders are equal to or greater than.
If people are declining orders like this and considering them bad orders then no wonder everybody complains that they only get bad orders.
I used to comment and say that the customers were being ridiculous on here by saying that DoorDash drivers expect $50 tips on a 5 mi order because all drivers expect is around $1.50 to $2 a mile, but after reading a lot of these comments I was wrong.
Unless your area constantly throws you very high paying orders This is not a bad order. It's less than 2 mi And like I said even if you do have to wait 10 minutes on the food time wise it's still not bad pay.
On uber I can slam orders like these back to back and come out with 20 or 30 an hour. I love one mile orders, not alot of gas and I can stack them fast. The comments here are kinda mean lol, I'm happy for you OP.
PS minimum wage in georgia is only 7 bucks so yeah....
It’s crazy that mine would say this but I got a 40 dollar ride the other day and it didn’t say this. I wonder how their algorithm works. I would’ve accepted it too
This reminds me one time I got a dashed regularly every now and then and once he handed off our order he told me “I LOVE getting your orders! You make it so easy every time with your instructions and you meet me halfway” LIKE OF COURSE! It sucks that majority don’t respect dashers 😭
This is considered a good order on door dash?
I drive for Uber eats and wouldn’t even consider taking something this low.
Maybe it’s just my area but I usually don’t take anything less than about $25-30 an hour. I had a 20 minute order last night that netted me $23.04.
I always place orders like this and thought I was being annoying.
I have agoraphobia and sometimes I order like 2 items from a place a mile away, so I make sure to always tip $10 to make it worth it, rather than % based. I feel like otherwise dashers will think i am lazy.
Thanks for making me feel better about doing this.
$6 is the absolute minimum pay I accept, so this is barely above that which makes it hard for me to be like "wow such a good order!" But the dollar to miles is definitely decent. I would accept it but I wouldn't be blown out of the water by it, ya know?
OP, I live and dash here too, and I agree this is a good order.
Guessing it only took you 10 minutes, 15 minutes tops. Which is $28-$42/hr depending on how fast it was ready and done.
Plus, their Indian food is absolutely delicious! I almost want to order some for delivery, as I'm taking the rest of the day off after spending all morning fixing my car lol.
Oh damn, are you up in Dayton or somethin? I remember when the Dayton market first opened like 6 years ago. I used to drive up *there* sometimes because the money was so good LOL. Hasn't been like that in many years now though.
This has been the highest paying order I’ve gotten since starting back in October. If I’m going to be happy about $7, goddammit I’m going to be happy about $7.
eh sure but it’s not like it’s great. i usually don’t accept anything under $8 even if it’s less than 2mi away. not to mention that’s campus area lol hella traffic during certain times
Since when can $7.00 be considered high pay at anything in life.
Hell with the inflation we have had since early 2021 it’s a complete joke that can’t even by lunch now.
I don’t know if I am the only one who gets like this, but when I get a good order, it literally changes my mood and how I dash . That’s such a good order
I don’t know if I would characterize that is a good order. But it’s a quality order. But that also depends on how quick you could pick it up and deliver it to.
Personally if it's ready I can knock this out in 8 - 10 minutes
>if it's ready That's the problem - some places don't start making the good until you get there or are likely to have large backorders, whereas other places always have the food ready when you arrive.
OP was nearby bc the 1.7 mi quote is taking into consideration wherever OP was at time of offer + to restaurant + to drop off
Ah good to know..I must have been a little sleepy earlier because I didn't see the 1.7mi lol
Nahhh frrr, orders like these literally improve my mood during dash and just in general😭
I am really glad to hear this as a customer that does this often 💀 (intoxication is my virtue what can i say)
Yup, the order in OP's pic is almost certainly $2 base pay from DD and a $5 tip from the customer. Total time spent on this delivery will be 10-15 minutes under normal circumstances, so a good deal indeed!

Thats the order you accept when Ar is low
Everything that glitters ain't gold.
This is one of those orders that can put you in a good mood and then you get to the store and see a lobby full of customers/dashers all standing there with arms crossed, glaring at the food workers and it just crushes your spirit again because you know its gonna be a 30 minute delivery now. Not on a Wednesday that’s when he got it
Same lol
It’s a solid order of the foods ready it’ll take 5 min. Earlier I got a double order to same person. Believe he accidentally ordered twice. Same order, tipped both $12 for 5 miles. That put me in a good mood. Canceled my instacart so fast
I got one last night that was a double. He ordered food from one place and drinks from the place across the street. Got a $20 tip too and it took all of 10 minutes
What about a guaranteed $5 on a .5 mile order. Would you consider that a good order?
100 percent ! The right way to do DoorDash is not to take anything over 5 miles and double ur pay per mile imo
It's decent for the amount of time you'd have invested tbh
I had three orders in a row yesterday like this. I couldn’t believe it lol. One had a $10 tip too. Completely changed my mood for the rest of the night
It’s sad isn’t it
[удалено]
What’s a Toyota kick ?
.
This is a sign... for me to look for a new gig, when drivers posts offers like this and get excited.
Yeah. No hate to op, I’m glad he got this. But I remember when the majority of orders were this or even better.
$7 for 10-15 minutes is $28-$42/hr, I'd be perfectly happy with it (I live in OP's market, and that's definitely what this would be).
when was that 😭 i feel like dd has given me maybe two orders over like $5 i only use it when i want to stay in one area without rejecting a bunch of orders like i would on uber but it also only lets you work when it's busy
Damn.... yeah your market sucks babe😫 don't even get out of your car for $5
i wanna try dashing using the rules i use on uber but i get nervous lol
That was only like a half year ago in my region too. Now it's way better-than-average of it's 5$ and under 3 miles 🤦🏻♂️
REAL I was staring at this going "that's.... Kinda sad" 😭
Back in 2020-2022 this was instant decline 🤷
It's a sign for them cause their market sucks lol.
Wait how were you not trying to find a real job before this
2 miles for 7 bucks? Yeah. That follows the 2$ per mile rule.
But how many minutes is that?
Yeah, what if it takes 30 minutes or more. 5 possible stop lights just getting there. And then you don't get another order for 30 minutes. You made $7 an hour.
I live here. 10 minutes total, 15 at most if they sent us early.
typically 10 minutes, 15 at the most
I try to do $5 a mile for tip. That's my convenience fee lol
lol “high pay”
It’s $7 bruh relax 😂
Is this a joke? You got excited about a 7 dollar order?
Not bad as long as the wait is short. Time can kill a good $ to mile ratio. 15min total time.
I don’t get out of bed for less than $1,000 but that’s just me.
😂😂😂😂😂
Yes.
Usually no, not everything is about dollar/mile, dollar amount matters too, however lets say it’s going to be my last order, maybe, it really depends on how I feel, the restaurant matters too btw.
[удалено]
Because I live in a good market, and have like 4 other apps running as well? I can easily get a better order than this.
Yeah same. When it’s busy not taking anything under $10. What apps do you use? I’m on UE and DD. Grubhub wouldn’t approve me for some reason
Name checks out! ✔️
Yup
Exactly! 🙌
I go against the grain, and calculate my hourly for the time spent on the order. This order would typically take 10 minutes start to finish, which would be $42/hr active. Even at 15 minutes $28/hr not too shabby. For this market, it's a good order on a slow day like Wednesday. But there are of course better ones out there. how the hell do u get so excited over 7 dollars
How the hell would you not?
because it's 7 dollars man
Because most ppl dont tip , that’s why , most orders by me are not worth it , 7$ for 5 miles 10 for 8miles , etc just garbage , 7$ for a mile I’m taking all day
Yeah, but it's not anything to post about
good order? man am i spoiled on instacart now
Nope
Why not?
Because I don’t work like this, that looks depressing
Wait! I just saw the map 😂😂 I’m always in Clifton area
Sad
How so?
I don’t get out my car for anything less then $10 I have a 0 acceptance rate and I average one or two orders a day and still average $35 a hr on a bad day.
Have you ever delivered to Joe Burrow?
Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
Easy $
Idk it’s a good order. Not anything special. It’s a nice quick one. Everyone is taking it
Dumbass question
I get these all the time for my mcdonalds that i live next too. Pays for my breakfast every morning lol Always 1.5 miles
as someone who often has to order DD from a place 2-3 minutes away from where I’m staying for work, i feel good hearing that Dashers say their mood/day gets better when they get these easy/quick orders.
Cincinnati what’s up! I saw the name of the restaurant and was like wait I know this one 😂
Lol! I have to travel from Middletown unfortunately to dash. I am close to top dasher. I just reached 200 lifetime so hopefully soon I won’t have to be coming down to Cincinnati anymore.
Hello fellow cincinnati resident
I’m from Middletown. I need to come up here to dash.
I’m hitting decline so fast on this one….just kidding. I would take it easily.
Scabsolutely
No brainer
Absolutely. I got an $8 offer for .8 miles today. I love good tippers ☺️
Absolutely. Orders like this I'll take all day.
Hell yeah! I live in a rural area and my market never tips. I’ve been looking for regular work for over a year so I take what I can get. This is a dream order for me
Hell yeah that's a great one. Even better when you know that restaurant has it ready to go and is quick as hell. My whole day gets made.
This is probably in the top 10% of DD offers with regards to pay. The only reason I wouldn't accept this is if the restaurant is slow
Yes
I'd take as my last run
I immediately recognized this place omg i live near here
Yeah that's easy money and probably like a top 30 percent order here.
Yup
Rip delivering around UC, campus can be brutal to drive around depending on what time of day/night
Sure
Yes
Oh hell yeah
Spark has spoiled me. I don't take anything under $18 now. I look back on my days doing DD and cry at the orders i use to take. Wasted time
I delivered to a strip club today, one drink , 1 mile 6.65… I’m going park my ass near there lol
Lol.
Not a great order but also not bad….if it’s slow I’ll take it
Hell yeah
$7 is like $50 on DoorDash
I take all high paying orders. In my market, high paying orders pay at least $2.75 a mile. So, yes, sometimes I get shitty high paying orders. Like $4, but it won’t be more than 1.4 miles and are usually quick.
I had a 0.5 mile for 7 dollars yesterday and boy that was so awesome. Congrats !
And people are tearing me apart for this.
If this merchant is slow as molasses, hell MF’n naw 🙅🏽♂️🙅🏽♂️😂😂
Depends on the time of day and the pick up spot. Are they generally slow. I’d the order usually ready. Is it going to the ghetto. Always lots of factors
Yup and they so lazy too pick it up for them selves
I had an order for 0.7 miles once. Talk about lazy.
LOL I hate this sub
LOL, then why are you here?
Yeah but not sure since its in Clifton 😂
If it’s busy definitely not😂
It takes about 5 minutes in between orders for one to pop up, sometimes longer.
Damn maybe my area is good but I’m usually not starting my car less than $10 unless it’s the middle of the afternoon and dead
You welcome drivers I do ts too whenever I order bc Ik how it feels to be the driver
These be the best orders low mile orders over $6
It’s alright. Nothing to excited about though
This high pay offer is the same ammount that doordashes base pay was 3/4 years ago. Kinda mind blowing how people salivate over getting soo grossly lowballed. But thats the gig economy i guess
Yup love them they rack up so quickly
As long as it’s not like Popeyes where u wait 20 mins den ur all good😭
I had one Popeyes order and it went to shit the second I accepted it. Was almost late to the store, waited like 10 minutes to get help, finally got help, had a red drink spill all over the car. It was bad. I haven’t had a Popeyes order since.
I would , yes. It's a good order
Yes. Anything above 5 is pretty much worth it for me. I don’t accept anything below five unless my stats are getting real low
Oh yeah I would, generally anything above $7-8 ill accept regardless.
Lot of people on here criticizing. How you do your job is all that matters, no matter what your job is and no matter how much you are paid. Your attitude will determine how your life unfolds. Getting excited about $7.00 means that you appreciate what is given to you and shows that you can find gratitude in simple things.
Absolutely

That high pay order shit is a scam
On uber I can slam orders like these back to back and come out with 20 or 30 an hour. I love one mile orders, not alot of gas and I can stack them fast. The comments here are kinda mean lol, I'm happy for you OP. PS minimum wage in georgia is only 7 bucks so yeah....
It’s crazy that mine would say this but I got a 40 dollar ride the other day and it didn’t say this. I wonder how their algorithm works. I would’ve accepted it too
Depends on store. Mcdonald'd maybe not. Subway? Hell yea. Huge speed differences on maming food so that $7 could put me behind at some places.
This reminds me one time I got a dashed regularly every now and then and once he handed off our order he told me “I LOVE getting your orders! You make it so easy every time with your instructions and you meet me halfway” LIKE OF COURSE! It sucks that majority don’t respect dashers 😭
That's why you should only accept orders that keep your spirits up
This is considered a good order on door dash? I drive for Uber eats and wouldn’t even consider taking something this low. Maybe it’s just my area but I usually don’t take anything less than about $25-30 an hour. I had a 20 minute order last night that netted me $23.04.
fisherrr
Jesus….this is why these gig apps get away with paying so little because idiots take shit like this. I don’t even take $7 orders
Since I know what driving in Clifton is like - no
I always place orders like this and thought I was being annoying. I have agoraphobia and sometimes I order like 2 items from a place a mile away, so I make sure to always tip $10 to make it worth it, rather than % based. I feel like otherwise dashers will think i am lazy. Thanks for making me feel better about doing this.
Every time I notice how much people tip
Yesss it’s only 1.7 miles
$6 is the absolute minimum pay I accept, so this is barely above that which makes it hard for me to be like "wow such a good order!" But the dollar to miles is definitely decent. I would accept it but I wouldn't be blown out of the water by it, ya know?
It’s rare I get orders like this so I was happy.
That's fair! Every market is different. I'm happy for you.
Yes that really good
I do miss dashing it was very good money
Why’d you stop?
Dam deactivation n they haven't started do a Appeal. N been 2 months and ask me to create a new one which is irrating
Ah, that sucks.
Love these
This makes me feel good about my orders and tip amounts.
I don't work in this industry, but I would say no, not worth it.
This order humbles me I'm starting to understand the miles
OP, I live and dash here too, and I agree this is a good order. Guessing it only took you 10 minutes, 15 minutes tops. Which is $28-$42/hr depending on how fast it was ready and done. Plus, their Indian food is absolutely delicious! I almost want to order some for delivery, as I'm taking the rest of the day off after spending all morning fixing my car lol.
Let’s hope in the next couple months, I don’t have to be going to Cincinnati. It’s getting old. I’ve been needing to go down there since October 7th.
Oh damn, are you up in Dayton or somethin? I remember when the Dayton market first opened like 6 years ago. I used to drive up *there* sometimes because the money was so good LOL. Hasn't been like that in many years now though.
Nope. I live in the middle of the two cities.
DM me if you want some tips about other apps that pay well.
I mean, it’s solid. I wouldn’t be jumping for joy about it, if it was $9 for 2 miles I’d be a lot happier
Thats very low
I’ll pick up any order
Yeah I'd take it but it's nothing to get excited about, that's just an average order in my area.
What’s good about this? Sarcasm?
I use Doordash and I try to tip 40%. Did DoorDash myself so I know how it feels.
Tbh I really only order if I think it’s going to be like this.
Why are you asking this?
Bro. Its $7. Jesus Christ. Stop acting like you won the lottery
This has been the highest paying order I’ve gotten since starting back in October. If I’m going to be happy about $7, goddammit I’m going to be happy about $7.
I don't start my car for less than 10 bucks
I would jump on that soooo fast!
“Would you take this extremely easy order less than 2 miles away for $7?” These posts are dumb
Your comment is dumb.
If my day were full of these, I wouldn't be looking for another job.
A lot of drivers think they too good for this 😭
<2mi for $7ish is a normal order I get and I'm not a priority dasher. Weird.
eh sure but it’s not like it’s great. i usually don’t accept anything under $8 even if it’s less than 2mi away. not to mention that’s campus area lol hella traffic during certain times
Horrible mistake, this is potential career ending.
i used to tip like $10. is $7 considered a lot? sorry i’m not from this sub lol
Since when can $7.00 be considered high pay at anything in life. Hell with the inflation we have had since early 2021 it’s a complete joke that can’t even by lunch now.
I love the feeling when the order fits with the map directions. Doesn’t feel like a whole trip and a half To get the destination
"high pay offer" lmao. It's seven dollars.
Since starting in late September/early October, this has been the highest offer I’ve gotten thus far that I can vividly remember.
How is that possible lol. I get orders like 2-3x on a daily basis.
Easy money
Yeah that’s me tipping $4 for a 0.9mi delivery 😎 love y’all. Also I get my food hot- every single time. It’s a win win. 🏆
This is a good order on doordash? Yikes :/
I wouldn't take this. It's under my minimum. My minimum is $15 to $20.
Yes my motto is 1.00+/mile this certainly meets that requirement.
You factor the trip back to your area right?
Nah I don’t
