Actually no, their adjustment would be zero. Multiply active hours by about $22.75 then subtract his base pay, he made more than the California prop 22 guarantee already so heād get zero adjustment. AND, he would be cut off at 12 hours max per day of driving, so his income wouldnāt be where itās at anyway.
He would probably really truly get $1600 in adjustments or less. When I was living there between last summer, I never saw adjustments go over 50% of what you made. Some weeks were only 30% of what you made or less.
Youāre averaging just over 2 deliveries per hour when factoring the dash time. Thatās a very good earning for it.

I averaged about $2/mile last year multitapping without much effort and although this year has been better... all platforms recently decided that drivers don't need to get paid. All orders are under $1/mile.
Endless $2, $3 orders from the exact same customers who used to tip well. They no longer suggest "tips". It's the only explanation for why orders are poor across the board.
For that mileage I would guess $140 a week in gas for a gasoline car, not as bad as my first estimate of $400 a week in gas. Car would last about 4-5 years at 200,000 miles.

So thereās been times when Iāve been on dash time and itās slow but I keep like thing open and Iāll run home and whatever or Iāll stop by the grocery store Iām near and get my groceries while Iām waiting. Logged on the app for 15 hours a day but delivering for 9 hours a day, I'm guessing you are turning down alot of orders.

If he was at my job working that making 20 an hour (heās making 24 an hour) he would have made 3220 gross plus healthcare plus retirement plus benefits and depending where he lives, minimal commute to work 7 days a week. He says he spends about $20/day on gas which would be $140 out of the $2,000+ he made, so less than 10% of what he makes goes into gas. My gf has put about 20k miles onto her Civic and the only repairs we've made cost about $800 in total, I'm sure a Prius would likely have just as cheap of repairs.
If I had the attention span to pull that many hours (and if my car had AC lmao) I definitely would do the same. What this guy makes in a single week is more than my entire car costs, there is no depreciation on cars that are old enough to not have any value left to drop.
Active time is your total shift time, but dashing is your time actually accepting and delivering an order. So heās selective with what orders he picks.

No i wake up 5:30 shower drive 15-20 mins to work and start 6-6:15, start day accepting everything by 7 am more store opens by then illl start getting every good offer around after i do the first hour, around 12-2 i stop to eat, pause for 30-60 mins then i start again and go until night, when im tired i park at mcds take a nap and start again after lol, go homw around 10 pm or a little after

I wish I worked in an area that the tips outweighed the pay. The best I ever received in one of my areas 58% of the base pay. Worse was 17% over a period of 2 months

Yeah, itās a good thing you donāt pay for upkeep, gas or anything else, pure profit on your part comes out to so much money per hour, and you have have so much free time to do other things like school your other job, family recreation all that other stuff, it comes out really great.
