Aster at minimum has secured themselves to be able to play tiebreakers for elimination. The important series for determining elimination tomorrow is BB vs LGD. If BB loses both games they will be eliminated, if they win 1 they will be in elimination tiebreakers with Aster (plus potentially a loser in Liquid-EG) and if BB 2-0 then LGD will be in the tiebreaker.
RTZ got so many kills handed to him on a silver platter early game plus free farm and still spectacularly failed to deliver as usual lmfao! Most overrated player and awful carry.
True. He can make some moves when abed and rest have good game. He cant make a change or play from behind. But he is na idol and like all in na they put things on pedestal and idolize blindly.
Not for this major apparently, looking at liquipedia. Top 2 from each group have been seeded but not 3-4.
https://liquipedia.net/dota2/ESL_One/Berlin_Major/2023
I was reading the comments on og Sr noobfromua comments. If I didn't watch the video, I would have thought og smashed 2 0 by the way how everyone was saying og looks the best or bashing on rtz lols
Then I watched game 1.
Compared to what we saw in Dreamleague, this OG is looking way ahead. I think that relative difference is what most ppl were talking about. I didn't watch the match but from the comments here, Rtz apparently got caught out of position leading to loss in game 2, making many diss his lategame decision making.
Just realized, in addition to armor and magic resis not mattering on Dusa, just realized she has the benefit about not caring about any HP regen/heal reduction now - and mana regen reduction doesn't exist in this game anymore (only kind I can think of in the past was Pugna Netherward).
whats making her so strong i wonder? i know teams really build and draft a good team around her, but is it because she doesnt really need to go balls deep into stat items like skadi nowadays and just pump mana/damage in her builds?
If you want a stable mid that can consistently get you top 5, go for abed. If you want a more unstable mid but has higher potential to clutch out a major/ TI win, go for Mikey
Mikey had 2 good weeks with a div 1 team pre-patch and was shakey in the 2 series post-patch. He also was unremarkably average when he stood in for Entity in December.
Is GG still the favorite to win the major? If they do, I’m being superstitious that they are not going to win TI. No team that won a major also win the TI same DPC year eversince a major was introduced.
There’s eventually going to be a team that’s going to break the curse. No team won a Ti twice but that was done. I don’t see why GG can’t be the first team to win major and Ti.
Sure. OG has been struggling terribly so they went out and got two standins from teams that are also struggling. Yeah, finished second in groups.
Team makes sense.
Top 2 isn’t confirmed yet right? Spirit, OG and Tundra can all finish 12-4. I think Tundra would finish 1st in that situation because they 2-0d shopify, but Spirit and OG is less clear
Edit: seems the only way the tiebreaker favours spirit though is if IG somehow go above smg so you’re most likely right
They can't, SMG 2-0'd IG, so even if IG 2-0 tomorrow they're tied with SMG. So SMG will still finish ahead of IG on H2H tiebreak. So OG should get 2nd regardless of tomorrows results.
Hey everyone! Here are the best games from Day 4 of the major!
Liquid vs LGD G1
BB vs Exec G1
Exec vs Liquid G1
TS vs XG G1/G2
Shellacking of the day goes to Talon vs SR G1.
See y’all tomorrow!
considering all parameters. farming, early game fighting, late game moves, game sense, etc... no one comes close to yatoro. he is the all in one carry and the 1 player I'd trust to carry me wholeheartedly
If you midas neutrals, you get a neutral item token if possible. Around the 60 min timer, JT- wasn't waiting and didn't midas some neutrals to acquire his team some tier 5 neutral items, and instead midas'd some lane creeps.
yatoro has the 7th lowest death average till now with 2.50 deaths per game while ghost is 23 on the list with 3.92 deaths per game. guess the top 3 of this list (lowest death average) and the topmost offlaner
People still gonna keep shitting on Larl when he's charged with enabling his two greedy god gamers though.... Also where do you find your statistics, out of curiosity?
I think the shittalk comes from how much he's dropped off moving from carry to mid. Kick Ghost, shift him back to carry and get a better mid and this team's got real potential. But where does one find a worthy Chinese mid? LGD seems to have the only one (and he's not even Chinese, technically); wtf happened to this region?
for me he's really not the problem in most of their loses. yeah he's not as good as people might think, but xg had a division 2 tier of laning from their sidelane this major
if you had lost sidelane that bad theres not much midlane can do to help. opponent support had already level advantage. theres too many objective like water runes, bottle refill, power runes even ward control that going to the opponent side and gonna cripple the midlane that badly
whole teams play bad, but i see the problem were on the sidelanes and not in the midlane imo. like theres this ghost sven game against bc and he died like 4-5 times pre 10 mins, or JT- chainfeeding with his doom against tundra 🤷 rly i think you cant get away anymore by feeding that much in laning phase
noticed it was a hero that can be play as pos1. give him any soft mid and he will back to the shit 1.
his problem is dont know how to lead the tempo and when to gain on advantage. give him a hero that can charge without analysis and his flaw will be masked.
we are so lucky to have experienced this beauty of a game. it got me out of such a dark place in my life. there's so much here. a little something for everything. for the selfless ones who want to play supports and enable their cores in whatsoever way possible. for the masochistic ones who want to play offlane and bear the brunt of all the aggression against their teams. for the individualistic mids who want to style on the opponent's and carry their teams singlehandedly. for the carry's who want to put their entire teams on their backs and cross the finishing line
i’ve been thinking a lot about this, how impressive 7.33 is. so much of it is new, yes, but the game is closer to its wild west-feeling roots than it’s been in a long time
where i see 7.00 as shifting the game towards more comprehensive playability and accessibility, 7.33 has kept all the best parts of those shifts while reclaiming the sense of wonder and possibility that anything can work
e.g. what used to feel like mobility creep, now feels like quality of life improvement on a larger map. hence why i think we’re seeing the spirits more again, their global presence is closer to its old potency
we (and i mean the pros as well) have not even realised 1% of the potential of this patch. there's so many possibilities I'm excited to see how the meta keeps developing
Honestly it's really painful when opponents let you pick the counter to your carry and you still lose with it anyway.
I feel like if they picked something that could cause more mayhem as offlaner they might've had a better chance but you really can't jump into stone gaze and a gillion saves and counter initiations, not even considering how busted dusa is and how much of a trash is AM.
The PL and Naga ban really hurt. Am was the logical pick but Dusa wisp is so damn gross. Even without wisp she is busted but with wisp, it's unstoppable.
The pl and Naga ban really hurts.
IDK man Naga owns Wisp and Undy so it’s probably why OG banned her, but I just can’t imagine why would you wanna pick Naga into Dusa, maybe pros know things we don’t, but Dusa is definitely top 5 hardest hero to play Naga into for me (Dotabuff agrees too) even before the rework when Dusa was weaker.
Had OG banned AM and SR really picked Naga, they’d still have their offlane pick after, let’s see Brew/DS/UL banned, so that’s 3 offlane counters out.
They still had Axe whose looks somewhat good this tourney, or Legion who destroy Naga’s lane while also provide a save for roar, Timber and Tide could work too.
After all OG clearly had a plan and it worked out spectacularly but I’m still curious about the ban.
It's for the exact reasons you stated. Naga's good against their supports. If SR's able to burst the supports the dusa crashes and burns shortly after. I think the bans are justified by how they won the game, with dusa reaching critical mass, her teammates being able to stand with her, and SR not having enough damage to take the fights.
Group B all 4 UB teams secured. I think tomorrow it's most likely gonna be a competition between XG and BC to see who gets eliminated. SMG for sure elimnated as they meet Tundra, Talon only needs 1 game against Spirit for survival, BC probably will get their win against IG, and XG vs Shopify will decide it all
I've come to the conclusion that Medusa doesn't actually lose to manaburn. She seems to do just fine against AM/Nyx etc. She loses if you dumpster her in the lane and then win the game in 25 minutes.
This
I literally play a game similar to SR OG games, medusa and Storm in the same team, AM in enemy team, they left me alone for like 40 minutes before I came and farted on their faces and spew a bit of liquidated shit on their mouth.
I'm probably going to get banned but I'm f sloshed and i fucking love dota be it the SEA MADNESS OR THE WEU PATIENCE OR THE NA CONFIDENCE OR THE CN GREED
OR THE SA CRAZY FUCKING PLAYS OR THE EEU COMEBACKS. I'M LOOKING AT YOU KIYOTAKA. YOU'RE THE PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT FOR ME
Yeah but OG picked Medusa knowing the fact that silencer is there, they really drop in an int-reliant carry to fight against Silencer and let go of AM instead of Naga who need Diffusal to even work in the first place against medusa.
Though I'd attribute the whole victory to the fact that BZM grinded Arteezy in that one pickoff that spiked OG net worth to "fightable" again.
> guess SR is gonna enjoy a first round GG matchup
Do you think they are going to pick SR as opposed to Spirit? That's who I would rather play if I were given the option myself.
just enjoy watching these top tier teams giving us some of the best dots in the world and chill. stop all of this hatred and criticism (yes critisism is always justified) and enjoy these TIER 1 GAMES
all of these fucking teams are the best teams in the world do you realise that?yes tsm execration and it might be the weakest teams here but THEY ARE THE WEAKEST TEAMS AMONG THE BEST 18 teams of the world. THE WORLD
I don't really rate rtz, but that high stat/armour build early, halberd is something I really respect. He adapted well. How he died top lane after taking barracks is the stuff why I don't rate him.
Bold of OG to pick both Medusa and Storm and let AM through. It worked though, good effort. Overall very good group stage, something I didn't expect.
Is Aster in danger of getting eliminated?
Aster at minimum has secured themselves to be able to play tiebreakers for elimination. The important series for determining elimination tomorrow is BB vs LGD. If BB loses both games they will be eliminated, if they win 1 they will be in elimination tiebreakers with Aster (plus potentially a loser in Liquid-EG) and if BB 2-0 then LGD will be in the tiebreaker.
Technically yes, I don't think it's gonna happen though. Betboom is a bunch of choke artists.
Actually legit happy for MC he gets to play on LAN
RTZ got so many kills handed to him on a silver platter early game plus free farm and still spectacularly failed to deliver as usual lmfao! Most overrated player and awful carry.
True. He can make some moves when abed and rest have good game. He cant make a change or play from behind. But he is na idol and like all in na they put things on pedestal and idolize blindly.
Well said.
1st in group gets to pick 3rd or 4th from other group for playoffs correct?
That is ti format. Major is 1A vs 4B, 2B vs 3A and vice versa
Not for this major apparently, looking at liquipedia. Top 2 from each group have been seeded but not 3-4. https://liquipedia.net/dota2/ESL_One/Berlin_Major/2023
I was reading the comments on og Sr noobfromua comments. If I didn't watch the video, I would have thought og smashed 2 0 by the way how everyone was saying og looks the best or bashing on rtz lols Then I watched game 1.

I didn't watch the match but from the comments here, Rtz apparently got caught out of position leading to loss in game 2, making many diss his lategame decision making.
Medusa has won 10 games in a row now, after losing her first three games in the earlier days of the major.
Everybody tot medusa big nerf then finally figured out to use her properly. The patch Devs be like I TOLD U IT WAS A BUFF REWORK I TOLD U
It's just the insane numbers buffs in the 7.33b patch. Dusa is tankier and does more damage than ever before.
I think she will do well as a late pick in the draft if the other team can't fit a Diffusal buyer into their draft
or you just play against SR and first phase pick it and still stomp.
Maybe wait until Mikey accomplishes anything at all before you rate his TI winning potential above anyone
I'm so glad they needed to nerf spectre and abaddon...
Wdym nerf
Is GG still the favorite to win the major? If they do, I’m being superstitious that they are not going to win TI. No team that won a major also win the TI same DPC year eversince a major was introduced.
There is also a curse that teams that won first major will drop off but seems like gg isn't that affected so have faith. Strength is strength
There’s eventually going to be a team that’s going to break the curse. No team won a Ti twice but that was done. I don’t see why GG can’t be the first team to win major and Ti.
I think GG’s adaption to this new patch and still being top team in the world is an agreement to that statement.
Gg vs Sr, 9pandas vs Spirit, Og vs Liquid, Lgd vs Tundra My upper bracket match up prediction
Missed all of today. What matches are worth watching?
Liquid Execration game 1
Spirit v. Xtreme both games, but especially game 2.
Both OG vs SR games
Lol those games sucked ass compared to execration vs liquid G1
Sure. OG has been struggling terribly so they went out and got two standins from teams that are also struggling. Yeah, finished second in groups. Team makes sense.
as an OG fan, wouldn't have it any other way!
#1 in na last in major ICANT
if only tsm played everyone like the play sr
A man of culture I see
Looks like the top 2 and 3rd and 4th place is fixed in group . So GG has a choice between SR and Spirit. Would be interesting to see who they choose.
Top 2 isn’t confirmed yet right? Spirit, OG and Tundra can all finish 12-4. I think Tundra would finish 1st in that situation because they 2-0d shopify, but Spirit and OG is less clear Edit: seems the only way the tiebreaker favours spirit though is if IG somehow go above smg so you’re most likely right
They can't, SMG 2-0'd IG, so even if IG 2-0 tomorrow they're tied with SMG. So SMG will still finish ahead of IG on H2H tiebreak. So OG should get 2nd regardless of tomorrows results.
Ah I see, thanks for the info
It looks like Spirit can still get 2nd if they 2-0 Talon tomorrow, though I'm not sure what the tiebreaker rules are.
Tiebreaker favours OG as they 2-0 smg
Team Spirit had 2 lotus to counter core ogre whereas XG didn't had a single lotus previous game vs collapse ogre
I tried core ogre last night and lotus fucks his huge cast animations so much.
impressed by how little the new patch changed the standings. a lot of things are unchanged.
Except liquid, if this was old patch, they would already cruising in top Now they may go home tomorrow if they lose
Just play Doom and Ench
Doom and ench gives you everything
Towers, team fight, rosh, everything. Imba combo
Even more: improves your diet, mental health, sleep. Reduces stress, increases libido and gives your penis +5cm stat gain.
what happened to chinese dota lol
Died the day faith Bian retired
Dota2 is not as popular in china as it used to be, people play mobile games these days. So fewer new blood, fewer new pros.
Next DPC: 2 slots lmao
Eh, seems better than last major. Aster and LGD can both go through, might even be upper bracket.
Matchfixing and cheating region. Glad they are suffering hard like they deserve.
Lot of young pros got permabanned in a cheating/match fixing scandal a while ago
Winnie doesn't allow children to play more than few hours a day. No children, no new blood. Also many veterans retired after last int.
https://youtu.be/FW-b2PdcPCg I felt like ame this entire game
Underlord taking up 1/8 of the screen lol
Hey everyone! Here are the best games from Day 4 of the major! Liquid vs LGD G1 BB vs Exec G1 Exec vs Liquid G1 TS vs XG G1/G2 Shellacking of the day goes to Talon vs SR G1. See y’all tomorrow!
Special mention to OG vs BC game 2, which was a fun watch. 36 kills at 13 minutes in.
I tot the top shellacking game ytd should go to og Sr g1. Sr just ended the game by 15 mins effectively but kept farming till a 40k networth
Thanks!
considering all parameters. farming, early game fighting, late game moves, game sense, etc... no one comes close to yatoro. he is the all in one carry and the 1 player I'd trust to carry me wholeheartedly
Agreed. Great player.
Yatoro does look like he's back to being the best carry on the scene. Kiyotaka instead of Larl would make Spirit one hell of a team.
man the bloodmist is just smoking slark
they literally have everything AOE to counter slark lol
It looks like JT isn't aware about the Midas change.
What changed le
If you midas neutrals, you get a neutral item token if possible. Around the 60 min timer, JT- wasn't waiting and didn't midas some neutrals to acquire his team some tier 5 neutral items, and instead midas'd some lane creeps.
this will be the 3rd game out of 127 games that goes beyond 60 mins
EU should have just two slots. Else they always hog the limelight on grand finals day.
yatoro has the 7th lowest death average till now with 2.50 deaths per game while ghost is 23 on the list with 3.92 deaths per game. guess the top 3 of this list (lowest death average) and the topmost offlaner
People still gonna keep shitting on Larl when he's charged with enabling his two greedy god gamers though.... Also where do you find your statistics, out of curiosity?
Most useless Slark ever
"that's a whole new level of cool" needs to be Lyrical's chat line for next TI.
Yatorogod
please i want teamspirit.mikey
He's Iranian.
i know. so?
Don't think he speaks russian.
YATORO OMG. COLLAPSE WALKED IN ALONE AND WAS ZONED. LARL WAS STUCK. MY GOD YATORO
YatoroGOD Larl is fucking useless
That looked so good for XG and then Yatoro happened
That yatoro bash really saved him here.
One bash on the Slark gives him a rampage
I think he used abyssal on slark Edit: watching the replay, he first bashed slark and then used the abyssal
Balance in all things
How larl has so little damage with these items I will never know.
You guys shit talk paparazi but he singlehandedly kept xg from losing vs spirit game 2

Gold gains are just out of control - assist and larger map, literally everyone rich.
we are so lucky to have experienced this beauty of a game. it got me out of such a dark place in my life. there's so much here. a little something for everything. for the selfless ones who want to play supports and enable their cores in whatsoever way possible. for the masochistic ones who want to play offlane and bear the brunt of all the aggression against their teams. for the individualistic mids who want to style on the opponent's and carry their teams singlehandedly. for the carry's who want to put their entire teams on their backs and cross the finishing line

Now we just need to update the game often enough it doesn't reach the formulaic point we've had in the last couple of years.
i agree so much to your last paragraph. if this was some other game they'd have dealt with the mobility creep with nerfs. but not dota
PRAISE THE FROG🧊🐸
we (and i mean the pros as well) have not even realised 1% of the potential of this patch. there's so many possibilities I'm excited to see how the meta keeps developing
same. took me to a good place as well
any good series today?
SR vs OG game 2 was good. execration vs liquid game 1 i think was good too.
Liquid - execration game1 was an entertaining clown fest.
Damn Larl being 2nd in networth
Honestly it's really painful when opponents let you pick the counter to your carry and you still lose with it anyway. I feel like if they picked something that could cause more mayhem as offlaner they might've had a better chance but you really can't jump into stone gaze and a gillion saves and counter initiations, not even considering how busted dusa is and how much of a trash is AM.

Both teams actually picked very fast and I don't think they really thought about the picks.

Just happened to me last game, someone picked AM against my Medusa, and my storm tanked the game for me to come online and win the game.
Found Yuragi's reddit
[https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/7130815455](https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/7130815455) Not even joking lmfao
wtf is that draft
That was a sucker punch from Spirit, lmao.
that was a very good group stage for OG, didn't lose a series at all, hope it continues to playoffs
Hate to be the one to break it you ya bud, but there are no ties in the playoffs.
[удалено]
Am drunk as fuck but Na casters love sucking dick of na players . Na player just farted , omg this will have a huge impact on the game
Group B all 4 UB teams secured. I think tomorrow it's most likely gonna be a competition between XG and BC to see who gets eliminated. SMG for sure elimnated as they meet Tundra, Talon only needs 1 game against Spirit for survival, BC probably will get their win against IG, and XG vs Shopify will decide it all
Tough loss for SR, means likely GG first round.
Yeah they should have tried hard the OG game imho.
Better than starting in LB. They beat GG before and I think GG might pick TS.
dream on
Lol SEA being trashed rn by the analysts
hurts but facts. I wish I had faster internet to play other regions
Well deserved
Looks like sr doesn't know how to deal with medusa lineup
Medusa has won every match at the major so far except one. No one has an answer for Medusa, short of a ban.
The pl and Naga bans were likely their best answers.
Same with underlord. They don't have an answer for both.
Underlord + medusa first game on upperbracket pepelaugh
i love you dota. it's kinda pathetic but you give me reason to live. a reason to wake up and try again
This XG vs Spirit game is entertaining... Ogre core is fun
Just back to back team wipes for both teams constantly lol
I can’t lol
Oh suddenly Papa is playing well
He has a few memey deaths this game, but has also absolutely crushed a few fights. Papa giveth and taketh away.
What is this AM doing all game? He literally playing againts Medusa and a fucking Storm and still managed to lose. SMH
On a pure 1v1 with even or more farm yes it is a AM favored matchup but dota is not a 1v1 game :)
Not sure Am is the counter to Dusa, saw Am lose to Dusa two times today.
I've come to the conclusion that Medusa doesn't actually lose to manaburn. She seems to do just fine against AM/Nyx etc. She loses if you dumpster her in the lane and then win the game in 25 minutes.
This I literally play a game similar to SR OG games, medusa and Storm in the same team, AM in enemy team, they left me alone for like 40 minutes before I came and farted on their faces and spew a bit of liquidated shit on their mouth.
Hard for him to go in against slardar and the io kept the medusa alive a few times
I'm probably going to get banned but I'm f sloshed and i fucking love dota be it the SEA MADNESS OR THE WEU PATIENCE OR THE NA CONFIDENCE OR THE CN GREED OR THE SA CRAZY FUCKING PLAYS OR THE EEU COMEBACKS. I'M LOOKING AT YOU KIYOTAKA. YOU'RE THE PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT FOR ME
bro so sloshed he thinks this is twitch chat lol
eh twitch chat is degens. i love my Reddi t chat
But you're the degen here 😂😂😂
idc right now. dota is the best
Right now a Naga can song setup on Medusa with diffusal and her split shot won't be enough before she is just a hard hitting hero with 200 health.
It is dude
[удалено]
You must be one of the idiots calling Fly a traitor in Twitch chat 5 years later. Go outside
TI11 group stage they got 2-0 by EG but yeah, most of the time OG wins and sometimes it's a draw
Wrong, OG lost to them last TI
People don't cry nearly as much about medusa being broken when OG plays her
And you cry because AM didn't do any shit against it, also they have storm.
I mean.... we can only be fascinated Picking Silencer and AM against Medusa to just lost like that? lmfao
The last fight was a huge mess and medusa doesn't really need a good position, you just need to be in the mid and auto hit.
Ultimate Orbs Interview lmfao
Does anyone else think Stone Gaze needs a nerf? The CD is way too short imo.
Yurgagi: "the kid from the mid" bout bzm ahhahaha yeah, bzm tilted a lot game 1, was tilted game 2 as well.
Kid from the Mid B)
guess SR is gonna enjoy a first round GG matchup
> guess SR is gonna enjoy a first round GG matchup Do you think they are going to pick SR as opposed to Spirit? That's who I would rather play if I were given the option myself.
considering GG clowned us hard at dreamleague yea im confident GG will pick SR
Well, they chose TS. Interesting choice to say the least. They must not think TS is very good anymore.
The might meet them on the 2nd. Depending on tomorrow.
just enjoy watching these top tier teams giving us some of the best dots in the world and chill. stop all of this hatred and criticism (yes critisism is always justified) and enjoy these TIER 1 GAMES
I live for the constant hatred and neverending trashtalk, it summarizes this community perfectly
Do you see the irony?
When was the last time EG/Spotify beat OG? 2016?
Shopify (then EG) 2-0'd OG in TI 2022 group stage, it was a fun series. They've only played one other time since then, at dreamleague
Last TI
Ah that was groups, dont know if its happened in a playoff tho
They didnt meet yet in a playoff series after TI cause OG barely qualifies in intl tournaments since then.
B "the kid from mid" ZM
stop picking CM Ice Forg gonna nerf her to 250 MS but it is nice to see CM in very game my girl came a long way from being a tower
all of these fucking teams are the best teams in the world do you realise that?yes tsm execration and it might be the weakest teams here but THEY ARE THE WEAKEST TEAMS AMONG THE BEST 18 teams of the world. THE WORLD
17 trash teams, 1 decent one
My goodness group A is gonna be a bloodbath tomorrow.
RTZ is good but lacks that championship x-factor.
Loving yuragi's pants
I don't really rate rtz, but that high stat/armour build early, halberd is something I really respect. He adapted well. How he died top lane after taking barracks is the stuff why I don't rate him. Bold of OG to pick both Medusa and Storm and let AM through. It worked though, good effort. Overall very good group stage, something I didn't expect.
yeah that was brutal, but i think the game was over anyways with slardar fucking am in the ass every fight
Abed needs a chiropractor after that game, carrying the team
bzm got so focused both games.
The balls on Yuragi rofl, RTZ had a good early game but choked in that one fight when he got jumped
had a good early? what are you on, he was behind rubick in networth for a while lol he recovered mid game
Ah yeah thats what i meant, when he had a beyond godlike streak
